if people dont know the vehicle dodges have a keybind setting now so you can set it to single press q and e and not have to double press a and d

just get into sparrow tech, probably the highest skill ceiling in movement (slipskating is 10x faster than this skimmer stuff)

I found this when i first used the skimmer, and i must say it is sooo fast. Truly this is one of the best new additions to destiny 2.

Figured this out on day 1 and it put a smile on my face. It also was unintentioanlly crashing peoples games from what I learned so whoops. I also like this because since at heart you are dodging, you can also take corners at incredible speeds without having to slow down. Good name btw.

just a bit of advise, you can alternate the side boost to just go straight basically. keep up the grind and good luck in your endeavor's brother.

skimmers are now the go-to vehicle for long distance terrain (vow entrance), but slipstreaming will always be faster than grinding
Yeah, also with slips you can get height
Sparrow: used for normal ground traversal.
Guardians: *fly*
Skimmers: used for air tricks and general flying stuff
Guardians: *speed*
Speed runs about to be insane with the addition of this thing 😆 got mine last night and it’s pretty fun

As soon as I saw the skimmer didn’t have a boost meter I started spamming the boost but i didn’t know about the dodge mechanic

I do know that you can do something similar with a smaller speed boost by spamming left or right dodge and the skimming button without touching anything involving direction (no touching wasd/arrow keys, no touching any joysticks) but it's more energy efficient to just skimm

i find if you boost normally for a second before starting to spam you go just a little bit faster, maybe its just placebo but it looks like it

A lot of cool stuff makes me want to go back to Destiny but the grind and waiting of f2p and all those ads pushing DLC and how repetitive it is which kills immersion I just can’t do it.

Do you need the exotic skimmer to do the grind action? Or can you do the grind mid air with the regular skimmer?
Either. But you need exotic after the event cause the normal goes away

@@scrus5301Wait for focus activity to be on for 45 minutes, check who's winning, pledge to the winning class. Repeat over 3 focus activities. Or if you're good with high scoring, do top 10% nightfall score.
Found tech to climb any vertical surface with a skimmer as well.

How do you go higher from the ground and grinding

You can go much faster than this. You need to use both left and right dodges in sync and move your camera slightly to the opposite side that you are dodging to.
Using only a singular dodge cuts your speed in half because you are not counteracting the drag

mid way through when going through the gap, i alternated @@Suckko
Doesn't seem to work. I'm pressing them at the same time, and I get the same speed boost I get when I just press the one dodge button, and I do move the camera slightly opposite the direction I'm dodging towards. You can't get a boost from 2 dodges because you can't use both dodges at the same time. You either dodge left or right.
Pretty consistently doing the boost thing crashes my game lol
