The end result looks really gooddd obviously I’m late lol. IF ANYONE WANTS TO AVOID SOME OF THE TROUBLE, use 10 or 20 developer and TAKE YOUR TIME. Make sure the bleach is thick like pancake batter or toothpaste (and really saturate) the hair will lift slowly but evenly keeping it healthy and consistent. Then go over it if need be. Remember yall start from the end…let sit. Thennnn roots and let it all sit:)
what i do sometimes is wrap it n a shower cap spray a little water nd let it process it traps the moisture nd heat so the bleach don’t dry out nd honestly i do it so my hair lightens enough to where i wont have to bleach it again because bleach only is active for an hour so u gotta work fast but also be effective nd careful all about technique nd making sure ur hair can handle it n the first place i do lots of deep conditioning mask before nd after nd take months off bleaching to let my hair recover
You actually did a pretty good job when you are going from black to blonde it’s perfectly normal to get a lot of brassiness with the first round of bleach especially on virgin hair you are going to have to bleach twice so you did right by bleaching your tips first and then your roots so good job and it came out pretty ❤️
Loll I did this before😭😭 I was so scared but my hair turned out fine. Just bleached yesterday now I’m gonna do it again today because it’s not the right color😭
@@sparkyboomboomboi7051 same. i waited a week n a few days so my hair can get “dirty” again. because it’s best to bleach hair when it hasn’t been washed in a couple days so your natural oils can protect your scalp/hair (i think). my hair came out fine and the color i wanted it to be in the end so that’s good.
@@playgirly mine didn’t come out the color I originally wanted but I still like it. I even think it compliments my skin tone better than what I originally wanted :)
@@sparkyboomboomboi7051 I've read you should wait 2 weeks between coloring but I've also waited one week and my hair was ok. About to try my 2nd round in a couple days.
Always make the bleach thick, it came out so good💙 and ur hair grows so well, you can tell u take care of it so I’m happy you got to step out your comfort zone 💘
This same thing happened to me but I had my friend with me for emotional support and help 😂 so for next time I learned I need to do smaller sections as if I’m doing a relaxer, add PLENTY bleach to each section (if the hair isn’t white with product it’s not enough), if I’m bleaching anything other than my roots I DEFINITELY need foils for the best lift!
The only problem it was the sectioning .. your hair is thick you need to take a really small sections and saturate them with bleach, other than that you really did a really good job!
Girl you did a really good job! Only issue I see is because your new growth is so long it needed to be divided up. Apply lightener to the new growth closest to the mids and ends first save the part closest to the scalp for last because it processes a lot faster due to the heat at the scalp
I think a thicker consistency of bleach would have made a big difference. As well as smaller sections and more bleach on each section (for the first round) but it looks real good in the end!
Hi Liya! I know this is a while ago now but if you're still trying I would go with the Wella T50 next time. You would be blown away how much of the yellow and orange brassiness completely disappears and you end up with beautiful icy blonde tones!
Don’t worry foils are not the reason your hair came out like that! It’s bc you didn’t use enough bleach. You did not saturate your hair enough despite mentioning that, I was shocked when you put the bag over your head I def thought you’d be going over that. No matter what if there’s not enough bleach, even with foils, it will not be even. But you look really good and you are very pretty so it doesn’t matter
I usually cut a few strands of my hair out to test on foil to see what color my hair will turn out to be. I won't dye my whole head at once because it can be pretty scary. You were very brave. And, I like the color...!!!
The mid shaft of your hair always takes longer to lift, next time lift it to almost the color you want and then do your roots. The heat from your scalp causes your roots to lift quicker. Final results came out so cute 😍😍😍
What I’ve read is that you never go beyond 1 cm of new growth because of the fact that next to your scalp is the warmest and the warmth accelerates the bleaching process. The longer new growth won’t process at the same speed beyond that 1-1 &1/2 cm from the scalp… thats why the splotchy tones. Buttttt, it still worked out in the end, with intact curls and those golden highlights! Girl you look amazing! 🥰🥰🥰
I had my hair ginger blonde and then wanted to fix my roots and when I dyed it again my hair looks JUST like your hair at 7:10 after you blow dried it the first time. I’m hoping to re-dye it again one last time
I do not get good results with bleach powder. I went back to using cream lightners. My first bleach was a success with Age Beautiful High lift. From black to perfect blonde in one session with no damage to my curls. When I tried the powder bleach, I got the brown and orange stripes. Not mention the damage!
You were pretty good on putting the bleach on. Only real issue I saw in the first round was that your bleach wasn’t thick enough. It should have been so thick that your hair was covered in white. It would have helped. But the brassy was normal. Your natural hair color is pretty dark. Usually takes me about 2 rounds to be blond.
You know you needed to saturate your hair but it looks like you have nothing on it! You needed to really get it on there!! Like 5 times the amount that you used. Also foils since your hair is very dark and get a bond builder product to protect your hair from damage. Regardless it turned out really pretty!! The color looks great with your skin tone !!
My hair much shorter, bob length but i used more bottles than needed so my last bottle i just drenched my hair and it worked fine but i used box dye with the b&w powder and that was it and it was on virgin hair no foil no shower cap lol but i mainly be in protective styles and when im natural i be using oil and conditioner nothing else but your hair came out good to me after the first time that other time u didnt need couldof just used the lightest weila toner bc thats what i did and my hair ash blonde i love it 😂
The heat from your scalp makes that area lift faster...hair stylist. The toner balances out the brassy red color. The blue in it cancels it out... pretty color
Aww babe..not enough saturation and if you have done color previously that stays underneath so when you strip it the colors will stay.ALSO,If you have product before hand i recommend a rinse before hand🙂trust 💯 you did great on your roots and i think you look amazing😘hopefully that helped.
You’re beautiful! I definitely think you should’ve used more bleach when you first started. Like you shouldn’t see your hair strands at all that’s how thick and drenched the mixture should be 💛
Always remember your scalp is the heat source and will always process faster than the rest of the hair . Should’ve did the new growth first, let it sit, then go back and do the roots
You should cut yourself some slack, I’ve seen much worse and you did an amazing job, it looks great! Where you probably went wrong was not using enough bleach, your hair should be saturated to the point that you can hardly see it, almost like how you’d apply relaxer. Gorgeous results nonetheless 😊
I've reallyyy been wanting to dye my hair blonde for a long time, so I'm finally gonna try it. I've never dyed my hair at all before so I just want to get some clarification before I end up bald headed 😭 I also have very much 4c hair so I'm not sure if that means I need to use a stronger version of the products you used. Questions: -how long did you leave the bleach in your hair? -if I use foils can I still use a plastic wrap as well? -super confused on where to use the ion absolute perfection stuff you put in your description ngl -am I suppose to put 30vol developer in the toners as well? -was one of each toner enough for your whole head? And could you let me know if these steps are correct please? 1. Based on the products listed in the description I'm assuming you mixed bw2 powder, 30 vol developer, and the ion absolute perfection step 1 vial all together 2.Starting with blow dryed hair. Using the BW2 bleach mixture bleach hair and do the roots last. Wrap it in foil and wait. Rinse out bleach with cool water but don't shampoo? 3.If it looks aight go to step 4. If u look wack that's tuff maybe repeat step 1 the next day and pray your hair doesn't fall out. 4.Mix the T18 and T14 toners together? Then apply to your hair. 5.I guess this is the part where you can actually wash your hair with shampoo after you rinse the toner out. 6. Style hair Thank you so much for this video and thank you in advance if you're able to answer my questions. Your hair looks amazing!
Hey girl! Yes all those steps are correct ! Just make sure not to make the same mistakes as me thin sections take your time and I know it will come out bomb. Also for toner I followed the instructions on the bottle so it was 2 parts developer to one bottle of toner and I left my toner on for about 45 minutes.
The problem happened the first time… when you kept saying you need to saturate the hair but then didn’t saturate the hair. You should be able to see the product in your hair as if you were doing a wash and go that’s how much product you need
It wasn’t because of the foils it was because you didn’t put enough on the sections you were doing. You just have to take your time that being said the professional way is to use foils it’s just not necessary I did go to school for it but I’m not gonna act like I know everything and say there’s only one correct way to do it because I’ve seen plenty of people who are not professional achievement beautiful hair transformations. Also if you colored your hair black at one point or some dark color it could have been the reason but I wouldn’t feel bad darker hair sometimes has to be lifted a few times to achieve a lifted color I would just be careful because you’ll fry your hair if it’s not done safely.
ok so can someone explain how she got her hair to that final light blonde colour and can you get it like that in one try. Also what are the best products and how should it be done like measurement etc.
Definitely can’t get it in one try. My hair was previously colored and then I bleached it twice before adding the toner. If you get that on one try there might be damage.
