Tommy released this the day that I had my 1st date since being widowed 11yrs ago... can't stand Celine, but dammit, Tommy made me connect w this song! Thanks for checking out more of Tommy's music!
If I werent so old I could fall for this guy. He's everything.Talent looks, awesome personality,...and his hair. I only wish I had hair like that. XD I thought he is lik Meatloaf too.
You are so right about Meat Loaf as "It's All Coming Back to Me Now" is written by Jim Steinman, who wrote every song for Meat Loaf. The song was originally performed and recorded by the girl group Pandora's Box in 1989 and 1996 by Celine Dion and reissued on her greatest hits collection in 2008.
I'm probably weird, but I grew up with Pandoras Box¨s version and had never heard Celines version, didn't even know that it existed before Tommy did this.
This song was actually supposed to be on Meatloafs Bat Out Of Hell II album! Things didn't work out and it was replaced by the song 'I'd Do Anything For Love (But I Won't Do That)'. Maybe that was a good thing: that's one of Meatloafs biggest hits! Eventually the song ended up on Bat Out Of Hell III
Meatloaf and Jim Steinman had a falling out after Bat Out Of Hell II, partly because Meatloaf wanted to record this for the album, and Jim refused because he felt it should be sung by a female vocalist. Jim originally recorded it with Pandora's Box, an all girl group, then gave it to Celine who took it to #1. Jim and Meatloaf finally mended their relationship and Jim allowed Meatloaf to record this song for BOOH III. While Tommy labeled this the Celine version, his vocals are very similar to Meatloaf.
Saw your reaction to Tommy with a Celine song. There is also a metal version of Celine's My Heart Will Go On from Dan Vasc should explore as well. Hope you are feeling better.
"That had the biggest Jim Steinman feel ever" You don't say Ginger, could be because he wrote it. 😉 May i suggest that you listen to the original with Pandoras Box?
It’s almost obscene the amount of musical talent Tommy has. Looks like a nice guy as well ❤️🤘🎸🎻🦘

It exists as a power ballad duet. He released it back in '05
Amazing Tommy ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤thank you 😊

Not as much=) Same here.
I've always thought Celine's version sounded like a Meatloaf song. Especially 'I Would Do Anything For Love (But I Won't Do That')
OMG!!! I just thought about how a duet with Celine Dion and Tommy Johansson would sound.... E.P.I.C is what it would be!! We can dream... 👉👌🙏
There's Another banger: Josh Groban's "You raise me Up". Unreal how high he goes...
Celine DID NOT do the original. Pandora's Box did. They were a group of Meat Loaf backing singers. I still have the album, Original Sin.
Jim Steinman WROTE it.
Lead vocal by Elaine Caswell 1989..
@@kungsverige1886 What a voice... 🤘🔥

This song was on the album Original Sin by Pandoras Box, a Jim Steinman project released in 1989, so way before BOOH 2.
@@darkiee69 Yes, that's correct.

There's a version by Meat Loaf as well (personal favorite)
It’s definitely a Jim Steinman song.
