- While Raylan (Timothy Olyphant) explores the abandoned church bus, Police Chief Doyle Bennett arrives, suggesting that Raylan talk to Crowder (Walton Goggins). Simultaneously, Dewey (Damon Herriman) accuses Boyd of involvement in the Oxy bus robbery.

Deputy Raylan Givens has his own, Wild West-style methods of upholding justice, putting him at odds with the criminals he hunts and with his bosses in the U.S. Marshals Service. And an incident prompts his reassignment to the Kentucky district where he grew up. The character is based on one created by author Elmore Leonard in several books and short stories.

He's been arrested more times than anyone can count.

I watched an interview about the show with Damon Herriman, who played Dewey Crow. It was amazing to hear his Australian accent. None of that shows up in his portrayal of Dewey. Amazing actor
He's in "Mr. Inbetween" with his natural accent.
He created a character that was incredibly enjoyable to watch. Fantastic acting. I've watched the scene where he first meets Raylan a dozen times.
The bad guy's girlfriend from the City Primeval revival shows is also Australian, and again you could never tell.
Dewey is my favorite. Poor Dewey.
"I know you think I'm stupid, Boyd, but.....I ain't." Dewey, you forgot to put the car in park. Also, you thought you had four kidneys.
Don't pile on... poor Dewey is doin' his best.
But it was the compassion with which Boyd spoke to him that was esp. moving in this scene - it seems almost close to pure altruism on Boyd's part.
You really knew this boyd was gone in the final season when he did that to dewy. Here he says “spoken like a man who doesn’t want to see you killed” it was so brutal seeing how low he went in the last season
Boyd Crowder may be the best anti-hero/villain to come along in a very long time!

LOL. Reminds me of an episode of The Drew Carey Show. His two idiot friends hatch a cockamamie scheme and his girlfriend offers her services because they're doing it with or without her: "You ever worked with morons? You're going to need a moron wrangler." Boyd was Dewey's moron wrangler.
This is the very best of crime shows. Superior acting. The casting director should be complimented. Especially season 2.

Boyd and Raylan are the two sides of the same coin, and Dewey, well bless his heart. A great show great characters and the actors who portrayed them. ❤

The New One? City Primeval? That WAS godawful.
This was a good scene for Boyd. When you first meet him in the pilot episode, he seems even dumber than Dewey does in this scene. But here he shows how he's matured and evolved. He has a deeper grounding in wisdom and intelligence from the hard knocks he's received.
The actor that plays Dewie Crow is a comedic genius. Did all you all know he is from Australia? Great show! "Hey Ava". rofl
Kentucky in this show looks an awful lot like southern California
Boyd crowder reminds me of many people I grew up with in Kentucky …if giving a different set of cards at birth they’d be productive members of society but ain’t shit in eastern Kentucky so they decided I’ll steal before I’d starve

I'm beginning to understand why Boyd killed Dewey. You can see him giving up on trying to make Dewey see sense. And that makes Dewey dangerous to Boyd.
Raylan should have just married Ava from the start. That woman is loyal as shit as long as you treat her right.
