I am a very new beginner and I have a cash amount available for trade in my fidelity investment account but I am lost on where to begin to make it into cash.... can you please help or direct me to a video that you've made of you have that can help me please?
Could you do a video for each type of options purchase? Buy a call...buy a put, etc. It was a bit confusing watching this video, as there is so much information. I am surprised Fidelity doesn't have a video library where we could get this information. It would be nice to have a step-by-step walk through.
Been waiting for this one 👍🏻👍🏻 just bought my first call last week to figure it out. Thought I was going to have to spend the money to trial and error it 🤣 thanks for the video!
Great video! I just got options approval on Fidelity so this is EXTREMELY helpful. But oh boy! So much more different & complicated than Robinhood/Webull. Could i suggest you do a video on setting up an iron Condor in Fidelity? 🙏 Many thanks!
@@lj4001 u can open a cash acct w webull & pretty much have unlimited day trades. Can only buy & sell calls & puts. No acct minimum. If u want to do more advanced options on webull u need to have a margin acct & that requires u to have a 2500$ min acct balance
I have a decent understanding on options. But going from Webull to Fidelity for option trading has me confused a bit. It’s mainly the “buy to close” and “sell to buy” Webull it’s either buy or sell and that’s it haha 😅 I loved this video though! Made me way more comfortable using the Fidelity platform now. Just subbed to your channel
The Fidelity app is okay, only problem I’ve encounter is Fid doesn’t have TakeProfit LO/TP/SL so you always have to review to see if Filled and then try to catch the gains before it reverses with losses!🫤
Yeah you are confused, 😂it’s always Open =Enter a contract and Close =Exit it. The problem with Webull CC, it won’t let you Exit without selling all your shares doing the “Sell to Close” button! But Fid you can’t even Buy and set a Sell price with one order thus it has you constantly checking for a Filled.
Many of us would love to manage our own investments, but it can be overwhelming to know where to begin. Do we use stocks, bonds, futures, commodities, or real estate? Should we go long, buy on margin, short a stock, or put everything into CDs?
A beginner question: I bought a call option and it was in the money. How do I exercise it? (Do you just purchase the amount of shares at that time or do you do something in the options app?
Thanks, this video was perfect as I was able to go through my app while I watched. I have 1 additional selection under conditions which is "Type" where I can select cash or margin and not sure what to select? I own 100 shares and want to sell 1 covered call contract.
Thanks for the video, although I like using the Fidelity browser version on laptop better because it makes more sense to me and is easier than the mobile.
Hey JJ can you just let me know what is the quickest way to buy a put option and what do I do when I just want to sell back that option instead of exercising the option. What button do I press to do that on the Fidelity phone app
When selling a regular call or put, is either sell button going to obligate me to buy 100 shares at the strike price? Or when you sell a normal call or put do you just sell the option?
I'm not a fan of Fidelity for option trading. Too restrictive and the naming convention is odd. Tastyworks, TD Ameritrade, Charles Schwab, and E-Trade are better platforms for option trading.
Every time I try to purchase a call option it says “The buy call option order you entered requires a higher level option agreement.” What’s up with that ?
Why when i click to purchase a stock it say something about not having settled cash & violating Good Faith violation if I follow thru. How do I fix this issue?
buy to Open, you then Sell to Close If you Sell to Open, you must Buy to Close Just think of a phone conversation, you Open it to answer and Close when you want to end it.
it always Means no matter Call or Put: OPEN =Enters contract CLOSE =Exits contract … For CALLs and PUTs without owning you can: Buy to Open (enters a contract and you buy LOW) Sell to Close (exits that same contract at HIGH for profit) CALLs owning Shares, PUTs wanting Shares: Sell to Open (enters contract to sell 100 shares at HIGH) Buy to Close (exits the contract and buyback those shares at LOW and profit the difference) *It would be the same concept steps for PUTs So long as you remember the top portion, you can’t go wrong, hopefully just pay attention and don’t rush an order without really reviewing it or you’ll regret it! NFA 😂
Dude I'm trying to stay with you on this video. But I cNt because you talk about something, well let's just say, you need a pointer. You need to point to what your talking about. Remember we don't know what your talking about. Please slow down and use a pointer so we know where and what your talking about. Ok thanks
Great video👍🏼.. fidelity is great for holding long term investments like Roth and custodial accounts but for trading options nah man lol.. webull is much smoother and like using Robin Hood also 👍🏼
Fidelity's desktop trading app is 1000 times better than their mobile app. Although their new beta mobile app is a huge improvement in the right direction.
Sorry dude. Your going to fast and i cant see what your talking about because your not using a pointer. Your not setup to teach someone that doesn't know what your talking about. Sorry.

They do have some videos but are general n webinars but I always find UA-cam more informative n helpful.

I second this
What are the qualifications to be approved by Webull?
Is it easier than Fidelity for small investors n newbies.

Great video. Please make a video on how to buy or sell options using the limit on Fidelity. Thank you
How much risk you are willing to take is the key to building a portfolio that will meet your needs, but you can’t just assess this once.
Many of us would love to manage our own investments, but it can be overwhelming to know where to begin. Do we use stocks, bonds, futures, commodities, or real estate? Should we go long, buy on margin, short a stock, or put everything into CDs?
Find an investment strategy that is right for you, then make it a point to base your investments on logic rather than emotion.
Investment sometimes might be very confusing. if your new to trading options and you need help, Reach out to TAMARA DIANE HAGAN. Look her on the web.
found her website by searching her name. thanks
A beginner question: I bought a call option and it was in the money. How do I exercise it? (Do you just purchase the amount of shares at that time or do you do something in the options app?
You should’ve done it where how do you activate call options on fidelity
Can you tell me what the buy to close is for? You are obligated to buy the shares when selling calls and puts because you received a premium.
How do you STOP LOSS -10% in an option , both call and puts , THANK YOU IN ADVANCE
*Keep growing that hair!! Killin it!!*

great video, with good insight
Oskar Blues has some great beers. Lived in Denver for a few years and went to both their locations. Highly recommend for beer drinkers!

PLEASE make a butterfly options video with fidelity!!
Can you do stop limits, trailing stop limits, etc?
i think you missed a huge point. how to set stop loss, and how to set a take profit, but good video
This is super helpful! The UI isn’t nearly as straightforward as Robinhood so this is great!
Thanks, man.
Thanks for the content. Great info.
So say I but I call or a put. I’m up and I want to sell for profit I just click, sell to close?
Amazing video. You are a great teacher, tremendous value in this video. Subbed....

why are my call options coming up verified cancelled . My option contract was moving closer to my break even point .

Awesome Thank you!
How you made roll over for puts and calls
Every time I try to purchase a call option it says “The buy call option order you entered requires a higher level option agreement.” What’s up with that ?
You have to be approved to trade options you just can't do it
18:24 buy call option
Why when i click to purchase a stock it say something about not having settled cash & violating Good Faith violation if I follow thru. How do I fix this issue?
JJ how did you get Fidelity to let you trade 0DTE ?
Great video.
My fidelity account says it’s not options is not available. What do I do now?
Helpful but I am still steps back. Multiple levels of "could to this way or that way..." to it.
So when buy to open to close it we buy to close it?
buy to Open, you then Sell to Close
If you Sell to Open, you must Buy to Close
Just think of a phone conversation, you Open it to answer and Close when you want to end it.
Great video 🙌🏽
Are you trading on a cash account or margin? I know people have said you can trade on a cash account if you ha e the balance to do so?
What is the balance needed to do so ?
I have a cash account with fidelity, applied for options and they only approved me for calls. Can anyone help me ?
How the heck do I exercise my calls on Fidelity?? I didn’t see that on your vid. :((
How long you been studying bro??
I’ve already been approved to trade options but it still won’t let me sell options if that makes any sense
How long you been staying this bro??

I can’t find the way to stop loss in options.
🍺Yes!!🍺 Back to basics.
🍻
what does fidelity charge for options???
I read 0.65
Check its web to make sure.
