I just picked him up in tekken 8, how did they nerf him from tekken 7
@@Humus404it's not too bad or anything but the forced lionheart stance out of a lot of his stuff is rough because lionheart is a pretty godawful stance
Way less opportunities for T8 Steve compared to T7 steve. Tekken devs worked on other characters improvement but nerfed steve to the core

Lars is really strong, people sleep on him. He is not played a lot ( 19th or 20th most popular according to latest char usage stats) but he is incredibly annoying to face, insane combos. I think that he will be played more and more going forward.
The problem is that while he’s definitely stronger than his T7 counterpart everyone else has improved also so his weaknesses kinda still exist with having to rely on being defensive in higher levels of play. It’s just kinda worst in this game because everyone’s offense is so strong so realistically you don’t want to let people actually get their offense rolling so defensive play is kinda hard to do.

I first tried out Lars in the T8 beta and liked him then went back to T7 and he was so ass compared to it. I think this is the reason he’s not popular people just judge his T7 version.

9:10 was an insane pick up. I reminded at least ten times.
Better role in the story, better gameplay and tech, Trace did extremely well here.
Trace defense in match 2 was exceptional. You could tell LH was trying to condition after WR2 but Trace knew it would be much better to eat a chipping low than a devastating mid. Very well played.
Heera and nouman steve much more aggressive than this

Anyway his pressure and mix up is pretty good and his neutral is insane. What moves would you like to see more of a Lars?

Maybe that’s because this is an insanely high elo match? Both players show high level defense and movement. I thought Trace played really well with the retreating while rising move that Lars has. Always liked that move.
