I think everyone knows the fact that Albedo is his name, and also the second step in Alchemy. There are Nigredo, Albedo, Citrinitas and Rubedo. But it seems like in Genshin, Rubedo is before Citrinitas.

Aww I didn’t know about Albedo’s connection with Xingqiu. And the thing with Barbara’s portrait is really sweet
Oh btw I feel like Albedo should do a better job of keeping his things secure 😅

Legit you're not wrong...Albaedo pls, I know you suffer from scatterbrained alchemist syndrome sometimes, but please make sure nefarious persons can't have access to your research... ^^'

This video is so underrated omg
I was trying to find a lore video on Albedo that my 2 braincells can actually understand and I’ve finally found one

I just realized how little likes and subscribers you have, it's insane how you're not more famous! I could watch all the character lore video for hours and never get bored!
You explain everything so it doesn't sound too complicated, plus your voice is very soothing!

There's an Albedo in Xenosaga who's.... probably very different from the Genshin one. (He's... quite insane) But I think both names have the same origin if this Albedo is tied to alchemy. It refers to the whitening or whiteness of an object and I think it has significance in alchemy. The Xenogears Albedo is also an artificial human.
(More to come once I finish watching)
1:46 Rhinedottir literally means "Rhine daughter", and it's Norse mythology I think.
The Traveller is from another world? Genshin is isekai confirmed!
    13:23 Well that escalated quickly.

It's always really cool to hear your thoughts considering you haven't played the game (yet) haha :P
Yeah nice catch! Albedo is the second stage in alchemy's Magnum Opus. I actually wanted to go more into that stuff, but saw the video was getting really long (40+ minutes), and most of the alchemy references fall more under speculation, so I'm planning to talk about it some more in a separate video.
I still have to get around to Xenogears/saga/blade series someday lol.

@@LadyVirgiliaGenshin I think Timaeus is another alchemy-related reference but I only know that because of Yugioh.
I haven't played Xenosaga but I've seen some videos of it. In that game, two characters connected to Albedo are named Rubedo and Nigredo, which are also part of the process. ("Reddening" and "Blackening")
I'll get to Genshin eventually. I just started CS4 and I'm also playing SMTV so... I'm focusing on those right now.

I need to know whether Albedo has a bellybutton, i need a lore reasoning on this 😂 its gonna be so funny if he doesn't. Also this video is so long, i love it because it shows how much effort you take to explain to us. Thank you for feeding me and the lore and Albedo lovers because Hoyo nation hasn't given us anything on his character story....

wait... that's how you pronounce Kreideprinz? It sounds different from how my german friend pronounced it.
Also, I highly doubt that Albedo at the end of the quest is the impostor. He's far smugger and has more insight into humanity compared to subject 2. Plus, Albedo is actually really mischievous despite the popular headcanon that he is pretty apathetic. It's most likely more of a "let me test if the traveler can figure out if it's me even without the mark" since the traveler notes that despite not having the mark, he doesn't feel off. My opinion only of course.

I like to think so! I always look up how to pronounce stuff that's not in my native tongue, but I also can't distinguish which example online is the correct one. So apologies for any (or more like inevitable) butchering of these languages.
And that is a great point! At the end of the day I can't say for sure which Albedo that was at the end. Really none of us can until the time Mihoy--I mean, Hoyoverse--revisits & clarifies this plot point. I definitely agree with you that Albedo is far from an apathetic character. He may be more introverted, but he clearly cares about the people in his life and his hobbies/passions. I personally see him as being too earnest towards the topic of his artificial origins and its implications though, so I'm one to think he wouldn't joke about the mark... but I can also see the argument for it being the real Albedo at the end there!
I was actually planning on doing a separate video centered only on the different theories and/or conclusions people drew from patch 2.3's main event, but that actually never ended up happening, whoops... I really appreciate your thoughtful comment/theory by the way.
