Yeah... this is so helpful to me...one big thank you. One day i'm better... i have a plan... im motivated... then something will go off in my head and im back like to no motivation... no productivity... and im not sure whether im recovering or not.... but what you say makes so much sense.... it's like driving a car on the other side of the road... you may consciously know you need to use the other hand to change gears, but it takes ages before your body catches up with the brain and remembers that.... and so for a whike you keep reaching out with the wrong hand...

Suzy G Youre more than welcome and what a fantastic analogy. I’m just about to do some more study on the emotional and spiritual side of this wound. I’ve got the internal flow in diagrams now, just need the know how to rewire the brain. I’m so over my system sabotaging my recovery efforts!

I recently had a problem with my 4-year therapist. I felt abandoned and betrayed. I quit therapy because of some red flags and all of a sudden I went into abandonment depression. Right now I'm really unsure what to do and it's awful to feel that I'm in the narcissistic defense mechanism. Thanks for your content and story!

I'm in a lot of recovery for cptsd. My abandonment depression is getting better. But it's funny I talked about abandonment melage on you r channel a while back and you told me cptsd does not have abandonment that's bpd. I go to a Pete walker support group weekly and the abandonment wound is the core of cptsd. I'm at this for three years and there is false data on cptsd including the dsm. The core issue of cptsd is abandonment its accompanied by terror shame and worthlessness. Cptsd is developmental trauma and it starts young

I’m sorry but I don’t understand cptsd doesn’t have abandonment that’s bpd? I don’t make comments about bpd and whoever said that is obviously incorrect. Abandonment is definitely part of cptsd recovery as are a number of other factors plus we need to heal the brain. There is a tonne of false information around including people who haven’t studied cptsd professionally with UA-cam channels causing more harm than good which I personally find incredibly frustrating. Keep going with your recovery it’s a valuable space to be in.
