I have created so many documents over the years and they all seemed so inefficient causing me to spend so much time drafting the proposal for each client. However, what you have detailed in this video has really helped me see how I can pare it down and not feel so overwhelmed!! Question: When crafting the shopping list, how do you handle qty., different sizes, colors, etc.? Do you make sure the link directs them to the right one, or do you add that info to the shopping list so there is no mistake when ordering....curious.

Hi Judi, do you always declutter and organize in the same phase/same session? Is the client there during this time or only during the declutter portion? do you ask them to declutter on their own? thank you for your videos!
I feel like if it's a big job you would have more than one organization session..1st session Declutter, 2nd session organize items that client is keeping. decluttering can be mentally hard for some ppl because they become attached to items..
I was wondering when you take payments? Is it after the proposal is sent? Do you charge for your time spent mapping out the area to be organized and time spent shopping for products? I am still unsure about how to charge for those services other than when I am physically at their house organizing. Thank you!

Also, do you accept full payment upfront or a retainer/deposit before the organizing session? Do you plan to do a video explaining how to “set your price” as a professional organizer. Things to consider: time, labor, per sq. foot price, etc. Thank you again! 🤩🤩

Because I focus on creating functional and aesthetically pleasing spaces, It's important I do all the purchasing so the outcome comes out beautifully. I've found in the past when the client purchases organizing products on their own, they either never buy the right products or the correct quantity. I'm all about simplicity and ease and when my process is simple, the client's overall experience is as well. I accept a 25% deposit before the session which blocks off the days needed on my calendar and then I send them an invoice at the end of the session with the remaining balance and product costs with receipts. I probably won't do a video on setting prices but I do plan on making more professional organizing-related videos. If you need help determining a price, email me.

Say for a closet do you remove everything and and have the client go through everything and decide what she does not want to keep and then you organize from there? Or would you leave everything in the closet and you and the client go through together what she doesn’t want to keep and then you organize ? thank you very much,
I do both methods. How I decide on which method to use depends on the amount of clothes in the closet and/or the client and what they're able to handle mentally and physically.
