5:50 the shadow of the dude as he runs around on the beach with his little axe makes me chuckle. I too hold my items extended out in front of me like that as I sprint down the street.
I just bought the game about a week ago and am obsessed. That said, I'm fairly confident I've seen all the Islands in my Map and none of them are cool like the ones you have. Mine are all basic ones like the starter Island or maybe it'll have some tall rocks in the middle.
I love the stick style, it reminds me of the wicker, cane willow furniture and seems very suitable for this environment. That bay is lovely and calm I always put large stretches of open sand in my own islands to give plenty of open space.
I'd love to see a little town with the huts you made built onto that island, its perfect for a little community. You should add piers for the other rafts and also some planters to make a sustainable little village 😊🙏
Wish you'd consider releasing the maps for the islands you've already visited this season so far. I understand wanting to maintain the surprise, but at this point the season has been going on for almost a year, and from the looks you've still a long way to go. Feels like you're holding the works of some of my favorite creators "hostage" for so long!
I don't own these maps. I cannot stop the island creators from sending people the islands. I'm just holding off from releasing the map pack until the end of the season.

For some reason with the comments I'd seen (between YT, Steam, and your discord), I sort of mentally filled in some blanks and made some assumption that because the pack wasn't to be released (and that I see threads of people online trying to find some of these islands), that there was some sort of like... "agreement" that they wouldn't be released till season end or something. I realize now that was totally my reading between the lines what apparently wasn't actually there. Sorry about that, and thank you for the reply. (Keep making the fun content!)

Just because you're not stopping the creators doesn't mean the islands ARE available to everyone else and you know that. I'm new to your channel so I don't care if you're an arrogant ass to me and I can't imagine watching a guy play something I can't play for a YEAR. Maybe kbmosher isn't a loyal viewer so you don't care much about her/him taking the time to watch and comment on your video but that's not how you get them to stay around. Take some responsibility and show some appreciation. Your 'seasons' have never been this long. You've almost doubled your episode count for this one. That wouldn't be a problem except for the time span you've spread it out over and the fact that content you're playing is time-locked until you finish. Seriously...a year for a season? With no end in sight? And these cool islands, that only you can play, are not available until you're done? Can you really blame people for feeling and expressing some frustration?
Great graphics on this PC. I'm new on xbox. I love the game. I've heard the developers may have neglected PC users..but those graphics tho. I think these guys made an awesome game that people still enjoy today. Totally underrated.
@broadbent is this an ingame vanilla island or is it a mod that you had to download. please let me know because PLENTY of us are confused why we can't get this on vanilla content.

Just got this game for ps4. Every island I've ever been too. basically is the same regular looking island. I've never seen anything close to this kind of island

Noticed the same thing. I too have it on PS4 and was blown away seeing some of these amazing islands. It's because they are on PC, maybe more powerful or more space or something but the PC version of the game has been in development for many years and that version is a bit more developed. Our islands in PS4 look so tiny, too similar to each other and boring in comparison but I've already seen a lot of "lag" and glitching on my island with just the small amount of hoarding I've done lol. I imagine the PS4 maybe just can't handle the size of these PC version. The Devs said they are still working to make PS4 better so hopefully I'm wrong. But I'm seriously considering just buying the PC version now too lol.
How did you find this cool island? I've been sailing two days far beyond the small islands with my life raft and I found nothing other than ocean and sharks. Do I have to craft the motor-type raft?
#sgtdukes30 it does. Go to cartographer on the main screen that shows your map, location and island editor. FYI, what ever island you are currently on will be red (not the ones with skulls, those show the game bosses)
this game has quite possibly the worst building ever. i hate the building in this game. in a 100% symmetrical building what you can do on one side 9 out of 10 times the game blocks you from doing on the other. i love the game but the building is doodoo and wonky at best.

it is just a custom island its not in game without mods
So this is about exploration now. Does that mean building a base is now not happening or just on the back burner?
The primary focus of the season is to explore. Building will happen still happen like it did in today's vid, however it will be less frequent
