For those of you that don't understand the context: The Colts had a fake FG play where Pat would run it to the left IF they were within 7 yards and on the left hash, because the C-Gap was "100% always open". He was excited to be getting his first TD, it was about to go down, and the team was hyped. But for SOME REASON, Troy Polamalu decided to hop into the C-Gap as Pat was giving his cadence, which obviously (and rightfully so) scared the shit out of him. So he made the right decision for his future and changed the play, although he never forgot how TP ruined his dream.

thank you bro. i kinda put 2 & 2 together but i wanted to know exactly what happened. theres so many different scenarios that coulda brought em to this moment, but you filled in all the gaps of my mental process.
now can you explain what is the c gap & why its called that. im pretty versed in american football, well more than the average joe, but not an expert. i know all the basic fundamentals & then some. but all these advanced terms & certain play calls are foreign to me. so i try to learn every chance i get. appreciate your knowledge & input.
