Never get tired of playing Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon, AC/DC Hells Bells, Any Led Zeppelin album or the First Boston Album - They are all iconic, legendary and simply awesome.
You mean back in black
I would add gnrs appetite for destruction to that list, even if the singles are overplayed
I've never heard of an album titled "Hells Bells" by AC/DC. Maybe cuz I can't stand them. I know the song though.
Boston I can understand.
Boston's debut is a fucking timeless masterpiece
I was a new wave kid growing up, so it was in much later years I got into Zep and Floyd, so they still sound fresh to me. The Mellon Collie I still play in autumn, it fits and also that vinyl set I purchased for $75 has turned out to be a great investment! Great video, keep on rockin!
Appetite for Destruction hands down! Love the album just played to death.
Yes it certainly is. But for some reason I never tire of it.
With AFD, I play the other songs ie Out Ta Get Me, It's So Easy, and Mr. Brownstone (one of my favorites from them). Jungle and SCOM are ones where yeah I can wait another few years at least to hear them again.
@@BrendonSnyder I always go back to it because I really enjoy the deep cuts a lot.
Great video Brendan. I think Def Leppard Hysteria is also worth a mention on that list
Certainly! But I still love and listen to it all the time so it didn’t make my list.
What is crazy about this is that I don’t hear theses overplayed songs that much anymore because I don’t listen to the radio very much. Between pay to hear radio services and my own personality made playlists or mixes ….leaves little time for that aggravation.
Yep, I don't think I've listened to any regular radio besides sports talk in over a decade.
Radio in Southern California is the pits. I don’t listen to it other than baseball games.
Same here. I stopped listening to music on the radio in like 2005 or 6. The only time i do is if i'm a passenger in someones car, which does not happen often.
Really haven’t listened to fm radio in 20 year’s
I haven’t listened to Fm radio in a few years.
Amazing video:)
Thanks Brendon, Solid video as always. The two albums for me are Hysteria and Appetite For Destruction. Don’t get me wrong, I like both of these albums. I am just burned out on Welcome To The Jungle and Pour Some Sugar On Me.
I totally get it and I considered those albums simply because I know so many people feel as you do. But funny enough, those two albums I still enjoy and can play them anytime. But I think a lot of it is I grew up with them and they hold special memories so it’s also nostalgia. But I generally reach for other albums because they are overplayed.
The rarer songs on Appetite are what bring me back to the day since you never stopped hearing the others. Michelle and Think About You etc.
Appetite I still love no matter how
Much I listen. Hysteria is good but I think pyromania is better and has more hard rock edge.
Ugh I hated Pour Some Sugar since the first time I heard it. I do like some songs on Hysteria. It's just that I never considered buying it at any point.
I bought the Darkside of the Moon immersion box set. I thought it would take me weeks to listen to all the versions I wanted to hear. 2 days later I had listened to the remaster. The alternate mix. The live version. Then I listened to the Blu-ray audio and Quad version. Never thought I could listen to an album 5 times in 2 days but it never got old. Crazy
Brendon your channel is just cool man, it must be cool to just talk about what you love and just share it and gain a following of viewers/ subscribers. I get a lot of info from you and just listened to a Rat album you mentioned on Top 10 On an Island albums, and Im literally getting introduced to so much cool music and to me New music.
Hi Stephen! I’m glad you’re getting so much out of the viewing!
Hi Brendon love the channel, I feel the polar opposite I have never got this thing about oh I never need to hear that again....but I love it. If I love an album then I'm playing again & again. I own all those albums & never ever tire of them. Cheers for the videos keep up the good work.
It all depends on how much you listen to it and for how long. But I also think it has to do with if you grew up during the original release of it too. Lots of people have been commenting that the debut album from Boston is one they never need to hear again. I love that album it didn’t grow up in the 70’s when it was ubiquitous. That said other albums like Led Zeppelin’s IV I didn’t grow up with either but because everyone always places it on the top of rock lists and countdowns it’s everywhere. Part of the “worn out” aspect is seeing and hearing it talked about too, not just hearing the music. But we all hear things differently and if you don’t tire of it that’s great.
@@BrendonSnyder thanks for the reply, some of the albums I lived with in real time some I went back to but it doesn't matter to me that's just my make up if I'm in I'm in that it haha. Look forward to more videos.
Great show good commentary. I own all the albums you spoke of and I agree with everything you said. ✌🏻
Awesome! 👍
Another great one, Brendon. I love Def Lep but if I never hear "Pour Some Sugar On Me" again it will be too soon! I grew up with High N Dry and Pyro and I thought those albums were overplayed, but nothing compared to Hysteria! ;p(
I will definitely be playing Led Zeppelin 4 again!
👍
me too 😀
@@jimmycampbell78 me 3
Great one Brandon..i am in agreement wt yr sentiment..in fact some of these albums are kept to one side never needed to be heard again. Though i do think there are still a lot of gems not played on radio in some of these.
Good and solid video, overplayed albums indeed, but good songs there.
🤘👌
Mellon Collie is like Pet Sounds and Abbey Road (along with a few other Beatles albums) in the sense I can listen to them endlessly. I always seem to discover something different when listening. I think you're spot on with Nevermind, Hotel California, Back In Black, and Dark Side of The Moon. For me (and like you I'm only including bands I either love or are considered legendary by others) I've gotta throw in Out of Time by REM, Blood Sugar Sex Magik by RHCP, and anything by Aerosmith.
Great idea for a video. Do songs next!!
👍
Great video Brendon.
For myself since I was born and raised in Chicago I was stuck in "Classic Rock Hell". One radio station in town we use to call the " Zeppelin,Pink Floyd,Rush and Van Halen" station. In other words everytime you'd turn it on you'd hear one of those four bands or all four withing 5 to 15 minutes.
So the albums I love and don't need to hear again:
1. Pink Floyd - The Wall
2. Rush- Moving Pictures
3. Van Halen- 1984
4. Led Zeppelin - Pretty much 1 through 4.
The other issues was that those four bands not only were overplayed but the same 4 or 5 songs were played. Ugh...
I with you on the Eagles for sure as AC/DC BNB as well as Metallica 's Black Album.
Again all great albums but I just don't need to hear them.
Oh man. The vocals on Great gig in the sky put it in another world for me. Brings me to tears every time. 😍
Pyromania would be one of my choices
I’ve got an early demo without the vocals on the Immersion Boxset and the song is worlds better for me.
Shocking Top 10 list. 😀 But I totally understand the point of this list. It's those big hit songs that's played everywhere that often makes you tired of an album. I often go and listen to those "forgotten" amazing album tracks like "22 Acacia Avenue" from the Iron Maiden's album etc. 😎
Brendon, I really enjoyed this video. It shows me that you’re an oddball just like me trying to stay away from all the popular songs not that we hate them but got “overplayed” example: instead of Hotel California I always go for “One of these nights” although there are songs on that album that got overplayed as well I always tend to reach for that one. However I enjoy all the old album from debut to the long run. I would probably get criticized for never putting Hotel California as my #1 album. It would come in somewhere mid way. And it’s not that I don’t like the album. End of Rant/comment.
Yes just a couple of music loving oddballs! 😂
It's unsurprising that Nevermind by Nirvana is gonna be mentioned in this list. I picked up the guitar through that album when I was 11 years old during 2009, and it's a great album from start to finish. However, Smells Like Teen Spirit isn't the reason why I picked Nevermind as my favourite Nirvana album, I only picked Nevermind only because I picked up the guitar to that album and that it had a profound effect on me growing up.
Great video Brendon!😁👌You did a fantastic job on making it.
I like that you made this list! These days, I hesitate to watch those "Best Albums" list videos because I know one of these albums is going to be at the very top!
I totally agree with you on "The Great Gig in the Sky". I've heard tons of people talk about how "beautiful" and "moving" that song is. Maybe I'm just a jerk, but for me that lady's vocals get tiresome very quickly (which is too bad because I really love the production and instrumentation on that track). The rest of the album is pretty cool, though.
There is an early mix of the album included with the Immersion boxset that doesn’t have her vocals added yet and the song is soooooooooooo much better!
I enjoy your videos about record stores and new purchases more. Cheers
That’s ok if you don’t want to watch Top 10 countdown videos. Not every video is intended for every viewer. That’s why I post a variety. Allowing people to pick and choose. 👍
@@BrendonSnyder I watched and I enjoyed it. I like your channel. Cheers
Many of those you have mentioned I own but probably haven't played for maybe 4 or 5 years.
I play Hotel California and Rumours at least 3 times a year as they are both perfect and are special to me.
Albums/songs can provoke memories of great times/friends and sometimes I need to hear them and I guess I always will.
Good topic though, your choices were interesting.
I still love Rumors but I’m a late comer to it. Even in the 90’s when the band exploded again, I didn’t really sink my teeth into that album until about 10 years ago and really found it’s charms. So it’s still fresh to me.
In my case, it's probably more songs from those albums than the full album itself. They all have enough deep cuts that I still enjoy listening to. A good album is always worth listening to imo.
I wish AC/DC would release a Live album from that tour with Axl, I think that'd be awesome!
Cheers.
I would buy that 😁
great video! im not usually up this early...do you like Amon Amarth?
I do! Great band.
Is your copy of Back in Black the 2003 remaster or is it an earlier pressing? I've always wished the 2003 remasters came in jewel cases, but I guess at least they have been consistent with the digipak so they all look nice on the shelf.
I've listened to DSOTM (and other "until The Wall" albums from Floyd) almost on a daily basis since 1988 or 1989. And can't get tired of it (/them).
Interesting topic. I used to "overplay" certain albums when I was younger but now with time in short supply, it doesn't happen as often. I can probably recite DSOTM, Zeppelin IV, and Electric Ladyland verbatim, but still enjoy spinning them only once or a couple times a year..still enjoyable after all these years.
Yeah if I’m in the right mood I can still listen to all of these albums because I do like them but it’s very rare that it happens. I bought the deluxe remaster of Led Zeppelin IV so that I could listen to the alternate versions disc as a way to have something different 😂
Lol... Great albums, Great list... you have 5 that are on my list too!!!...RIP, unless I am really board of other music or In a mood to listen to something I haven't heard in 5 or more years! Do a list of albums that you still play, but skip songs on the album that are big hits 😁
I am sure that Cobain's suicide did add to his notoriety but I do remember him being a huge star even before that happened.
Just to give you and American music fans here some context. You have to remember, I am not even from the USA- I was a teenager in the early 90s and I grew up in a rural provincial part of England. Everyone knew Nirvana and knew who Cobain was, and everyone was copying him, right down to his haircut. He was really the last iconic global rock star - even before his death.
People often say the suicide gave him the notoriety, I am sure there is some truth to that particularly in terms of the legacy there has been since, but I clearly remember how huge Kurt/Nirvana were even before that, and his death was a main story on the British national news bulletin.
I approve, in 1991, in high school, in France, we were all jumping on Smell Like Teen Spirit during our parties. Kurt was an Icon, and we were all shocked when he died. And yes, I agree that he might have been the last "worldwide rock star" to that level.
Dad was a rock fan in Eastern Europe, same age as Kurt at the time, as soon as Nevermind came it became a regular listen for everybody in that age group and of course SLTS became a party anthem immediately. It somehow resonated with youngsters all over the western world and therefore immediately gave Kurt a sort of icon status way before his death
@@Joe-ny2up He had a charisma that is hard to define. I think looks as you say, and this edgy artsiness combined with a vulnerable thing. There's no rock star since him who has been as iconic, but I think timing is everything. If Nirvana had come out 10 years earlier they might have been as obscure as Husker Du and something else might have appeared and made eighties rock seem out of date.
At least once a year I'll give ZOSO a spin, front to back. It's fantastic. A lot of these albums that you list, if heard on a very good sound system, are like a journey. Mostly it's the overplayed singles that are the problem...a lot of them, when blended in with the entire album are quite nice.
I must confess I don't have all of these albums in my collection. I agree with you on Aerosmith, Nevermind and Pink Floyd (I never really liked DSOTM and I gave my copy years ago away). But you shocked me with LZ! Just listened to it some days ago and ... yes I can still listen to all songs on it.
I knew it would shock a few!
I've felt the same way about certain albums before. Then I'll come back to them after a few years and in some cases they were BETTER than I remembered. I think moderation in listening can go a long way.
Good for you Brendon…this took some courage and I knew when I finished watching I’d see some negativity in the comments. I’d like more of this from the channel actually- especially thoughts on remastering/CD audio quality for reissues, box sets (missing tracks, could it be better), etc. You can’t possibly be expected to like everything so let us know if something is bad and not worth buying, and of course, when it’s earned your recommendation.
Did you watch today’s New Music Finds? I gave a very negative review of the new Rick Wakeman album. I’m hugely disappointed in it. So I definitely don’t “like” everything. The difference is I don’t like to dwell on negativity and choose to keep the channel positive so if I don’t like something I generally don’t waste my time discussing it.
@@BrendonSnyder My comment wasn't intended to throw a jab Brendon- actually was meant to be complimentary and quite the opposite. Since it was posted yesterday/Tuesday, I hadn't watched today's video. Either way, it's your channel afterall but I'm out as a long time subscriber if your goal is to hold off on posting more subjective criticism in your videos- when you and Anthony are together it's a blast: unfiltered, from the hip, and entertaining.
I didn’t mean for what I replied to come off negative. It was more like good timing for you to be asking like… “hey did you happen to see today’s video”. Anyway, my goal for the channel is to continuing doing what I’ve been doing and post things I like and enjoy. If you’re out you’re out.
I can relate, there are albums I love and I will defend all the time. I start playing them and at the first song the whole album runs throught my head and somehow I feel there's nothing new I can gain for listening to it.
Bon Jovi - 'Slippery...' and Def Leppard - 'Hysteria'. Absolutely loved them when they came out, but every note has been stuck in my head forever since.
I know what you mean!
Really enjoying your videos. Just wondering, does this mean you won’t be wearing that shirt again either? 😁
This was a fun topic. We all hear these songs on the car radio and don't drive home to hear them again. For me there can be years in between listening to stuff like Def Leppard Hysteria; but then when a box set is released I got to have it. 😆
Hey brendan great show as usual. I have about 5000 cds and 300 vinyls. Only bands that i enjoy....!!!! mainly hard rock and metal. All complete discographys. Gave away 3000 cds of bands like eagles u2 twisted sister motley crue kiss europe which i couldn't stand anymore.I have only music which i enjoy 100%.
.
100% agree with all your picks. I'm sure the 1st Boston album is up there as well😂.
I was surprised but understand Hotel California being on this list. A lot of these, not so much the album but songs related to, I do tend to skip more often then not. Def Leppard's Hysteria was one I had trouble with for a while thanks to Pour Some Sugar on Me being played (seemingly) every hour on the radio.
Great list, Brendan. Agree on several, with 1 exception. Won't listen to Get a Grip because when i reach for Aerosmith, it's my 5th or 6th choice.
For some reason I have never gotten tired of Boston's first album and I bought it when it just came out new lol.
I didn’t get into it until much later around the very early 90’s but in the last 30+ years I’ve never tired of it either. Though I will usually reach for their 2nd album as it’s far less overplayed but still has the sound of the debut.
Agree
Hehe. .I choose not to like Boston. . . I listened to the record.
When their debut album came out, it just caught everyone’s attention because of the unique sound. If you got into it later that’s great, but there is something to say about the context of hearing this for the first time when it came out vs. everything else out at the time. It was an awesome time to be alive! Great classics came out of those years.
@@davidholden4543: it caught my attention, too. What total crap.
Hello. Enjoyed the video. I always preferred, "Pump," over "Get a grip." I think the music is better overall and better produced to my tastes .
I agree!
Cool show!. I deffo wouldn't be bothered about hearing Dark Side of The Bloody Moon again! Personally
i have one main rock radio station in my area, theyve played the same 40 songs for 40 years... so unfortunately, i understand exactly what ur on about bro... if i never hear stairway again, im good with it... thanx
Brendon, Great topic and I agree 100% with your picks. I would also add Soundgarden Superunknown, Beatles Sgt. Peppers, Def Leppard Hysteria (Sorry Brendon) Megadeth Countdown To Extinction and another Pink Floyd The Wall. BTW my all time worst Pink Floyd song comes from DSOTM, Money, I HATE that song.
Cool !
👍
brother love hear from you. never forget LIMP DISC is weeks away w brand new Bizkit music x
Never been a fan but I’m glad you’re excited for it.
Hi Brendon
When I Grew up here in Sweden in the 70's
We had no Rockradio only 1 or 2 programs a Week only 1 hour at the time
So I have never heard the best songs too many times
Coz Swedish radio always lookt down on Rockmusic
So still today I play songs like Smoke on the Water - Deep Purple
Ooh
You can dance
You can jive
Having the time of your life
Ooh, see that girl
Watch that scene
Digging the dancing queen !
Again, fun idea for a video....I'm really surprised "the joshua tree" didn't make the cut.
For me there are songs I don't need to hear again even though they are great, like "sweet home alabama" " stairway to heaven" or "the number of the beast"....
and then there are songs I can still listen to even though I've heard them a thousand times like Jumpin' jack flash and a host of Rolling Stones songs ( except Honky tonk woman, this one I really don't need to hear again)
I’ve never been a big fan of that one so never listened enough to have it worn out. But I can see how it might be for others. I almost put Achtung Baby on here.
I'm glad I'm not the only one that gets burned out by an album. I have a couple of those on my list too!
It happens to us all.
haha. Led Zep 4. I just bought a copy of that. Big roots to my childhood, party on Garth!
Nice Video, and I agree with some of your choices. But I will never get tired of Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness. This is a Smashing Pumkins gem that never gets old or boring, at least for me.
I know you are a huge fan of the following band, but I never need to hear again any of the classic Poison albums. I think they sound dated and corny.
Number Of The Beast is Maiden's best album, and metal's finest hour. NOTB is like Plato. There are thousands of philosophers that came after Plato, but almost all of them just restate Plato's arguments. NOTB is an album that showed everyone how intense and melodic metal can be and needs to be heard at least once a quarter if someone calls themselves a metal fan.
"Watch him Die, According to plan, He's dust on the ground, What have we learned???" That is awesome!!!
If you’re saying you only listen to it once every 3 months then that’s not all that often. By your description I’d expect you’d to say you need to hear it at least once a month.
Definitely not their best album in mu opinion , invaders is probably the worst opener on any maiden album , gangland isint great either
Aside from Beast and Black Album I'm with you on everything else. I grew up with those two and can't let them go.
Couldn't agree more about Great Gig In The Sky
Awesome! Someone else who feels the same way. People make such a fuss over that song and it does nothing for me. It’s my least favorite on the album.
Agreed with exception of DSOTM
👍
I would say Appetite For Destruction is one I never need to hear again. I never tire of Dark Side of the Moon for some reason.
When you say you can't put an album on and hear something new, try listening closely to just one instrument all the way through, or maybe follow the harmonic rhythm or time changes (Rush, I'm looking at you) or some other structural aspect of the song. Something new might pop out. Better yet, if you play an instrument, try to learn the song, and it will suddenly be fresh again.
Yeah that’s not how I listen. But thanks anyway.
I can't subscribe to this point of view. But don't worry, I'm still subscribed. 😁 By your estimation, I should never be able to play The Beatles, The Rolling Stones or Elvis Presley ever again. And I sure still do. And I can even still play "Stairway To Heaven". ha! It depends on how good these songs and albums were to begin with. And I also own a lot of CD's. However, I find after a month with a new album, I'm likely to go back to my favorites.
The video is a bit tongue in cheek. As I pointed out and you could see, I own all the albums including latest tea masters and boxsets. So clearly I still listen to these albums at times.
@@BrendonSnyder My comment is also a bit tongue in cheek. And you do get "points" for saying that people should still own these albums. It's the music that you don't like, but were "forced" to listen to a million times, that was the real problem. 😁😄
Metallica’s the black album hated it when it came out and still do. Though they are not my favorite band AC/DC’s back in black I have loved that album for 40+ years and still listen to it regularly. I’m right there with you on the others you mentioned.
Hi B: I find myself rather fatigued on Aerosmith in general. I traded away the CDs and I just do not miss them. Someday I may reinstate some 1970s albums on vinyl, but I am in no real hurry. I had G&R Appetite For Destruction as brand new vinyl back in the day and it is in my current CD collection, but I just never need to hear it again. Axl has always been tedious and even Slash is a tad overexposed these days. I hope that you don't hate me now. 😃. The main hit songs are played way too much on local rock radio. Somehow DSOTM never seems to get old for me, but I don't play it that often these days. I have it on ordinary vinyl (with poster and stickers) and remastered CD,. The same goes for Led Zep IV. I have not played it in years. Stairway To Heaven came on the radio a few days ago and I cranked it. 🔥. - Heather
The first four Aerosmith will never get old...I can do without Draw the line...I do like Night in the Ruts, some of RIAHP and love Done with mirrors..a few songs on PV are ok..everything after I'll pass..as for Zeppelin...I do avoid most of VI...prefer Physical Graffitti, Presence and Coda...
If you don't listen to these it comes as a pleasant surprise when they come on the radio.
As an Australian, Cold chisel is a band I love but I never need to hear Khe Sahn ever again.
One album I'm guessing that is probably overplayed is Springsteen Born In The U.S.A. I just got that album in the mail. Finally overcame his political views i do remember seeing videos of this on Mtv but I'm finally diving into Springsteen and I do love this album been playing this constantly over the last several days
NOTB was the first metal album I ever bought at just 15 years old, so for that reason I will always love it.
I don't think there are any albums that I no longer need to listen too, its more the big hits that radio overplays from these albums that I don't need to listen to again.
What’s NOTB? Just curious and don’t feel like thinkin too hatd
*hard
@@stephensullivan1879 iron maiden number of the beast
Me and my ex wife had an inside joke where we would say “this song is on the list.” “The list” are songs that are technically GOOD, but you just never need to hear again. Smells like teen spirit, enter sandman, more than a feeling, bohemian rhapsody, stairway to heaven, hallelujah, sweet child o mine, even flow… the list goes on…
I can image that list must have been very long…😂😂😂
"I was made for loving you" / "Rockin' all over the world" / "Jump" / "Dreamer" ... / ... /...
"Heat of the moment"... !
It's more like with me that there are some multiple Lp's/Songs per artist rather than individual LPs.
U2- I think that I'd become aware of the band with "Pride (In The Name Of Love)" but I really became aware of them (like everyone else) with "The Joshua Tree" which had 3 big hits on it, then before I knew it there was a follow up LP "Rattle 'N' Hum", which also had a few big hits on it, and then they wouldn't give me a break so they released "Achtung Baby" which has 5 big hits - "The Fly", "Mysterious Ways" ,Who's Gonna Ride Your Wild Horses", One", "Even Better Than The Real Thing". I had U2 fatigue.I only relented with "All That You Cannot Leave Behind".Nowadays I like U2 from 1980-2000 - the one song, really that I still can't stand is "One" .
Gun's 'N'Roses - "Appetite For Destruction" - I quickly got off the G'N'R train - But the song/video which haunted me was "November Rain".
Nirvana - "Nevermind" - I recall coming home from school and seeing the video for "Smells Like Teen Spirit" - little did I know that that song and "Come As You Are" would be so played to death. I don't even think that those 2 tracks are the best songs on the LP (yes probably the most commercial) but I prefer "Lounge Act" ,"Territorial Pissings", & "Aneurism" which I only discovered maybe 18 months ago ( because I didn't buy the LP when it came out).
One point to mention, in fairness, these albums all have deep cuts that are worth repeated listens, and not just the major cuts. But a fair list.
Yes absolutely!
The problem is when you hear the music on the radio and your not in the mood for it.
I say clear of the radio for that reason.
Being very selective in my music and just enjoy all my favorites that I grew up on , normally still listen to Black Sabbath, Dio, Rainbow, Scorpions,Heart. for old school listens all albums and videos , and finished replacing a lot of good Old School , music bought a collection of all Joe Satriani. Nothing I don't want to listen to in my collection
For me, "A Night at the Opera" Queen from 1975.."Aqualung" Jethro Tull..Paranoid Black Sabbath...
I love Weezer Blue Album. Could listen to it forever
I always thought while back in black was the better overall album to for those about to rock , I think ftatr had the better high points 🤘
Boston’s first album might be like this for me. But I suggest just not listening to the radio or countdown shows so they don’t become oversaturated for you.
The Last Resort off of Hotel California might be the best track off that album. And it wasn't overplayed!!
That’s true, the last track is often the one I know the least on albums.
Just take a break on them, I grew up listening Starway To Heaven and Hotel California at nauseam, I stayed away from them for years, and now can enjoy them again. But I prefer the Hell Freezes Over version over the original and now love many other Zeppelin songs over Starway.
Nevermind is the most played pre 2000s album on Soptify, I guess most people haven't gotten sick of it yet. Smells Like Teen Spirit still averages almost 1 mil plays a day.
There will always be some young kid whose never heard it and has to check it out. The song currently has 1.5 billion streams on Spotify.
I tend to just have individual songs I never need to hear again rather than entire albums ⬇️

I only have your top three albums. 😆😆😆 The rest I could care less about. Your right about the songs on those though. Actually there are other albums by those groups that I like much more.
Great video idea
I agree with all your choices, in a way it’s back handed compliment to the band as I listened to them that much that I became tired of them
1 nirvana nevermind
2 guns n roses appetite for distraction
3 Metallica black
4 iron maiden - notb
5 oasis definitely maybe
6 black sabbath paranoid
7 megadeth countdown to extinction
I love all these albums but just can’t listen to Them as they offer nothing to me
Sad as I’m a huge iron maiden fan - tbf I’ve over played all their albums from the 80s
Well for some of those bands like Iron Maiden, who put out lots of albums, that’s ok because there is so much more to enjoy. But a band like Nirvana or Guns N’ Roses who only have a few albums it’s very hard when one is overplayed and worn out because there is not much else to choose from.
I don't share you opinion on NOTB, since it never got played on the radio. We all listen to it when we want to. But, the radio overplayed some albums, which I can't stand to listen to. With GNR, only some of the lesser known songs can I listen to.
Agreed on the blackalbum
When I was fourteen back in the late 70s/80s , I got into Black Sabbath ,Paranoid got played to death ,never need to hear it again ,same with AC/DC ,Back in Black, Iron Maiden ,Deep Purple Smoke on the water , also Led Zeppelin 1 and 2 ,which led to Howlin’ Wolf whom I started preferring.
My favorite go to Eagles is On The Border. Never tire from Already Gone and great deep cuts IMO
That’s a great album too.
"Good Day in Hell" is a great song from that one!
If you listen to the song “On the Border” as you cruise down the border highway in El Paso, life just seems to fall into place. 😊
@@davidholden4543 never been but sounds great!
I love AC/DC, and I love back in black, but I’ll always throw on Powerage first.
Powerage can be the best AC/DC album ever made. There are some absolutely insane rock songs on that album.
@@grimlund absolute classic
Really Number of the Beast? Gonna go play it now
By all means, enjoy! 👍
Was so sure Hootie’s debut would make the list.
It would have except I’m not a fan and don’t own that album 😂
Easy three for me.
Zep IV
Boston debut
AC/DC Back in Black.
👍
Boston's first album Boston would be at the top of my list.
I can see that.
Rumours has to be on this list as well as GNR Appetite!
I'll never get sick of mellon collie.
Same. I don't understand that pick at all.
At that it's a double album there's alot of songs on that album that you rarely hear that much unless it's on a alternative radio station except for 1979 of course
@@superunknown2812 and 1979 is a stone cold classic.
Biggest reason I turned the radio off decades ago. A few here regretted hearing once and sure it won't happen again, lol ;)
Yeah I don’t listen to radio anymore either
The first album I thought of was Guns and Roses Appetite For Destruction.
Haha…I thought about it too and know it’s overplayed but for some reason it’s still a go to album for me. I can play it anytime and still love it from start to finish.
Still love most of it especially the non hits
NUMBER OF THE BEAST NEVERMIND METALLICA METALLICA. UNBELIEVABLE ALBUMS 🇬🇧 🤘
Exactly I still listen to the tapes of them not album.
Appetite for Destruction. I listened to that sooo many times...
Deep Purple - Machine Head .. one of my fav bands of all time
That’s actually one that I burnt out and then took about 20 years off from and came back around 2015 and feel in love with it again.
I'm with you all the way with Metallicas 'Black' album. I love Metallica and I used to love Enter Sandman, but I'm so sick of hearing it I never put the album on any more.
I also agree about 'Nevermind'. It's a great album but played to death. I tend to listen to MTV unplugged or Incesticide instead.
