Fun fact: I was at this performance. My guitarist's room mate at college was an intern at MTV and her job was to give away 20 tickets to this show. I still have the ticket. Most of us sat right behind the tracks for the camera cart but the last two in our group got separated and had to sit behind the band. They're the ones that stood up and were dancing at the beginning of Evenflow. We were kinda laughing at them for doing that but 30 some odd years later, they're the ones that can prove they were there. Lol

Hello Geebz! The first time I heard Black, I remember it was in my hometown, Cartagena (Colombia), I was in my room and I had borrowed the Ten album from a friend. I'm 49 and obviously was a teen in the 90s and loved the change from 80s rock to Alternative and rember the exact point in time when all these Seattle bands came out , Pearl Jam , Nirvana , Sound Garden were the ones that were special and had a unique sound, I think when we look back at that decade it was very unique and yes it were out it's welcome by the year 2000 but many of the new generation enjoy it and it may one day come back .
That whole video is on youtube and it's amazing. I'm not a Pearl Jam fan but I can listen to that MTV unplugged set on repeat for hours (and I have before!)
Thought you might do this one. God I love Pearl Jam. Still remember being handed the Ten casette tape from my drumline buddy on the stairs outside the band hall in 9th grade.
I was in a gang up to no good. If anyone didn’t listen to hip hop they were made fun of and bullied. I was about 12 or 13, and I was in my room after getting this album for Christmas and listened to it for months, but whenever my friends came over I hid every album that wasn’t de la sol or nasty nas. One of my favorite albums of all time.
It was only a few years ago. I was 23, still living in Wales (UK). In a very distant part of the country as well. There are no opportunities out there for young people unless you drive, you did well at school or you come from a privileged background I was going through some emotional and social complications and really felt that I needed to get away to find a new life. Having been raised in the countryside and feeling at home in the hills, moving scared me silly... but I knew I had to do something. Not long before having an opportunity to move to Fareham on the south coast of England, I got into Pearl Jam and was mesmerized by Eddie's voice and the band's sound. The Album 'Ten' gave me courage and faith in myself and inspired me to go find the life I wanted. Three years later, I'm living in Southampton. I have my own flat, I've got a decent job but also studying part-time to be an electrician. The rest of my life consists of the 2 biggest passions of my life... cycling and music. The issues I had are now just a distant memory. Thank you for everything Geebs! and keep up the amazing work. I look forward to your videos with great anticipation. Great reaction as always! I absolutely love Pearl Jam (especially ten). This is definitely on of my fav tracks off of the album. I think most anyone who has had a relationship turn in an unexpected way can identify with the emotional delivery. This band could absolutely paint an amazing sonic canvas, especially back in the "grunge" days.
Thank you so much! This was sooo good. This album plays a HUGE part in the soundtrack of my life. It was literally on repeat in my stereo whenever I was at home, I even did all of my homework listening to Ten. Must’ve drove my parents mad lol. I have watched it that many times, and have not tired of it yet. What a band! Thank you!

Geebs I love that your doing Acoustic this week. As a musician and not being in a band for the last 10 years I always have to learn songs acoustic because when I perform it's with an acoustic guitar. There was a stretch of many years of listening to everything unplugged or acoustic so I could get into that zone of even doing songs that haven't been done acoustic and turning them acoustic. Anyways, so now I'm 100% always unplugged and prefer listening to only acoustic as well. Wow I said acoustic alot 😆🤣

Thank you. A lot. I was scrolling UA-cam and I found you a couple of hours ago. I absolutely love your channel. ❤️❤️
Funny story that I don't think gets told much, is there original equipment was lost, or damaged...I can't remember which, but they had to come up with those instruments at the last minute. Greatest rock band ever!
I was going through a break up when I first hear Black, and this song really sums up how I felt that time.
MTV unplugged was amazing then! How the mighty have fallen. I think this is the best of all the performances along with AIC Nutshell.
Thanks bro, I love this song regardless how it’s pretty sad, but sad songs are pretty to me for some reason
Pearl Jam Vs. was my first CD, back when I was a kid. I love this band.
Staind Excess Baggage. Emotional, acoustic and amazing.
This performance is astounding
Love your channel
I would be keen for a review of "Touch, Peel, and Stand" by Days of the New for an acoustic number, one of my favourite songs. Keep up the awesome work mate.
Down town is one of my favorite days of the new songs
Omg! I'm so happy I found you! You rock! 😃👏✌
Alice in chains "nutshell" unplugged is fantastic as well
AIC Down In a Hole Unplugged is on Spotify. You dont need youtube or vevo
Check out the Japanese all female rock band that uses traditional japanese instruments. They do a traditional song Sakura, their name is 'Rin.
At my high school reunion, an old friend reminded me of how I’d walk into each class and write Pearl Jam on the board before I sat down 😄
I have watched this acoustic performance so many times that when I’m listening to it in my car I can visualise what’s happening on stage at any time. I have watched it that many times, and have not tired of it yet. What a band!
Thank you!
Porch from this Unplugged session is absolutely incredible as well! 🤘🏼 would love to see more of these old MTV unplugged tracks. Love what you’re doin, Geebz! Still here!
So glad you did this song! I think this is my favorite version of this song. 😍
Fantastic acoustic tune... Marcus King and Billy Strings doing "summertime" a must see
Eddie messed up on the 1st chorus. Then, he made up for it.... "Ten" fold!! 🤘🤘🤙🤙 AWWWRIGHT!!!
AIC Unplugged?!?! Any of the tracks.
Acoustic Alive in Chains "Got Me Wrong" from MTV Unplugged. I think you're really gonna like it.
Fantastic Rendition! This song is always my go to for karaoke!
Just found you in 2022... enjoying bunches of your vids! Great song.
Another great one. Thanks agian for us that don't know but do love the music.
That's real emotion❤😢
“Jeremy” is also a great song by Pearl Jam. It’s my favorite and brings all the emotions out every time it’s on. I hope you consider doing a video on that song?
