With geno gone it feels like we didn’t only lose a good player but also leadership which is definelty lacking, didn’t see anyone today being a leader just a lot of heads down

The concerns you had about this team are strongly being realized. Could it turn around? Sure. But the fact is.....ownership had an opportunity to add payroll and get the offense to a championship level. But they decided to pinch pennies and try to put an offense together just slightly better than the 2023 roster. Us fans who look at the lineup without taking $$$ into consideration KNEW......WE KNEW the offense was NOT good enough. The ownership desperately hoped it would be. They want to win and still have millions of profits coming in. But the fans were right ONCE AGAIN. This lineup has way too many holes. Our ownership needs to go. I will NOT pay $1 to this team until I see a change in how they run this club. It's a disgrace.
Stanton being a cheap ass obviously didn’t help but at this point it’s on the players. The roster is talented enough that we should be a 95+ win team. There is no excuse for playing this poorly.
I doubt this team makes the playoffs.

I’m a brewers fan and this happened to pop on my feed. My brewers can put up stinkers too. I wouldn’t be shocked to see Seattle win atleast 2 games this series.
Your comment of, it’s a big fuck you from the organization. Is spot on. A lot of the moves in the off season were strictly payroll dump. Money reins supreme with Stanton. A holdover from the Howard Lincoln/Chuck Armstrong era. Do just enough to keep enough fans to stay hopeful, but never do enough to get the team into the top 10 of MLB. Mediocrity has always been his goal. Would Stanton like to when a W.S.? Sure, as long as it doesn’t cost too much. It’s early, but it’s always early until it’s too late for this team. Ownership is the sole reason the team is never going to compete for a W.S. Go M’s.

It already seems like a million years ago when Mitch hit the team’s first home run of the season…Which couldn’t have been a better way for him to return to the team, and also set the tone for the start of the year. Now? Everything looks like the Same Old Mariners…
It’s crazy because every flaw we have could be helped by calling up: trammy(whose now gone) harry(he can be the best player in Britain but won’t be good on the Mariners? Lol) Ryan bliss and samad taylor(unless we let him go too lol)

Right now Polanco is not worth the 2 minor leaguers and 2 pros we traded for him

17 runs in 7 games and one of those games got some of those in extra innings by gifting a man on 2nd base. So basically averaging 2 runs a game. That’s not winning baseball.
April has notoriously been a bad month for the mariners. I'd be more worried if the whole division wasn't struggling. The AL West has turned into the AL Central of the past few years (where the only reason a team made it to the playoffs from the AL Central was because they had to include the division leader)
It might be time to boycott the mariners
I would not be surprised to see this team lose 90+ games.

JP and Polanco are going to be good over the course of the season. Raleigh has been fine and Julio will perform.
Mitch and Garver just need to stay healthy, and it looks like Ty France might be reliable this year.
I don't trust the other outfielders or either of our third basemen yet.
And I think our bench will remain terrible until Dylan Moore's contract expires. I root for him to get lucky, and every once in a while, he gets lucky, but that's all he offers... a 21% chance of getting a hit, and a 4% chance of hitting a home run, not to mention a 35% chance of striking out.

This team is not worth the price of admission. They're awful.
The games in where they won, it was due to in part hitting home runs. And this team cant depend on power to win this year.

Slow starts are typical for the M's. I'm not concerned about the team. It's early in the Year. Don't take what this guy is saying. Number don't numbers don't mean anything at this juncture in the season. I'm not as worried about this start as anybody like this guy. The boggers don't know half of what they think they know. Talk to me after 20 games to see if I change my tune.
All I want to say at this time last year we were 2-5 Now 3-4 yes its not fun 😕
