- Just as I said, in this video I'm going to show you how to make your own black polish from the comfort of your home. It took me about 15mins and it works like the factory counterpart.
I like how you mentioned the usefulness of the ingredient to the polish. Like the oil, the kerosene . Welldone

Can I make use of groundnut oil or Vaseline instead of palm oil???
Palm oil and petroleum jelly (Vaseline, etc) are suitable because they remain in solid state at room temperature. Unlike groundnut oil. They also give the leather that glossy look when thoroughly polished. You can add those oils for fragrance or an even glossier finish.
Nice job. Please I will like you to coach me.ok
Is it a must I use kerosine??
Yes, you cannot use Petrol. (PMS) is risky due to its volatile nature -it's flammable and evaporates. So, the best option is kerosene
In the absence of kerosene, can fuel be used?
Petrol or PMS evaporates over time (it's volatile) and it is flammable. Also there's this unique smell it has, it's not really the good kind. So it's a no, it's too risky and won't exactly be functional.
I think it will destroy leather shoes. Soap might not be needed
Plus the palm oil van go rancid and Rot your boots.
Good day bro plc i wanna ask a question
Shoot
Why using palm oil and not olive or groundnut oil
Palm oil is recommended because it remains in solid state at room temperature. unlike those oils you mentioned. It also gives the leather that glossy look when thoroughly polished. You can add those oils for fragrance or an even glossier finish.
