I really appreciate how you say "I checked with my pediatrician...". I have seen too-many moms apply faux diets or not-yet-proven health-foods to their children. Children have very different nutrition requirements so checking with a doctor or registered dietitian is a great sanity check.
Thanks for all the suggestions about prepping to make meals easy. Enjoyed your stories about your mom. You have good suggestions and give clear descriptions of how to prepare food.
Yes, that is an excellent idea! Any recipes that would boost this Mama's energy levels would be greatly appreciated and much-needed! Please please please do a couple of recipes high in energy. 🤗👍😉♥️😊👏❤💙💚💜💛🖤
A trick to keep from crying while cutting and preparing an onion, is to chew gum before during and after. It may not keep your eyes from watering completely, but it definitely keeps you from crying. I hope this trick helped somebody. Love your videos and would definitely love to see some new recipes! ♥️😊👍
I would add a couple of those small red potatoes diced and half of one small shallot. you know i have never made chicken soup, i cook whole chickens, make bone broth, so thats odd. i love minestrone, i want to try making that. I add cilantro to everything because i don’t care for parsley. Split pea and potato are great soups to make too. I make my moms stew, its so quick, hearty and good on a cold day. I use the crock pot or dutch oven. I enjoy your meals for busy working moms, people don’t realize how easy it is to cook from scratch on a regular basis. Im glad you are putting this out for the younger generation. 👍👍
Getting the strings off the celery is genius! Ever since I saw you do it, I do it too. Sometimes I’ll use a potato peeler to peel of some to make I got it all
Thanks for this video, I loved to cook chicken soup, well I guess this time I'm gonna try your recipe with celery and a little bit of parsley. I really love your voice. Thanks Laura for the recipe. ❤️❤️❤️
I'm really impressed you cook at home so much considering your schedule. I find it hard to cook a lot being a working Mom. I love the Bear Creek soup mix and add in some extras. Love your videos!
Thank you for your recipe. I'm going to make it this weekend. Martha Stewart has a chicken soup recipe that includes parsnips. Have you ever considered using parsnips instead of or in addition to carrots? And, are your storage bowls pyrex? I have some that look similar that I purchased at Aldi. Do you shop at Aldi? Trader Joe and Aldi are my 'go to' markets! Thanks again for the recipe, and your UA-cam channel.
Wow, i just came across your cooking show for the first time. Love your style and recipes. You make it look so easy. Also, it’s nice to meet YOU. Always watched you on the 70’s show and OITNB and thought you never got enough screen time on either show. You’re so pretty and have a great voice. Now I get my full of you and not Donna or Alex, who I loved as well. Keep it up girl.
Holy shit that looks sooo good! 😍 definitely gonna make it soon! Do you ever cook with tofu? I’ve never done it because I’ve heard it’s hard to work with. If you do, would you be down to make a video on how to prep it/make it into a meal? Love your videos!
Love your videos I will most defiantly make this soup too night for my family it’s been very cold 🥶 here were we live some of that soup will make them very happy 😃 thank you 😊
So the chicken is precooked before it goes onto the soup? I cook a lot too. I am a bachelor and sharpening up my cooking skills 😋 for that right woman who will steal my heart ❤️. I forgot about the celery trick until now! Thanks a lot.
A vacuum food saver would really help extend the quality of your foods, especially fruits and veggies. I prefer the manual Food Saver models. It takes a little learning. I love the jar attachments. I'm not fond of the automatic models. The handheld models are ok but the bags lose the vacuum a lot.
i'm not sure if its something your editor has done intentionally for whatever reasons but throughout the video there'd quite a lot of single frames that are really out of place and it's super distracting
Hey, I have a question. When I cook, I’m always bad with the timing. I don’t know what to cook first so that everything is ready at the same time. It happens a lot when I cook vegetables and rice. Do you have any advice for this? That would be a real help. Thank you for inspiring me. I enjoy to see how passionate you are. Keep going! Greetings from Belgium 🇧🇪
I also like your small pot you’re using. When I make it, I make a big pot for the 6 of us. On day 2, I’ll add either egg noodles, macaroni noodles or rice. Never on day 1. But on day 2, it’s fun to add it
I use kitchen scissors all the time, but this is the first time I've seen them come apart so easily for cleaning. All of a sudden I realized why you were calling them "chicken scissors" - so much easier to make sure no bacteria is harboured between the blades!
am I gonna make chicken soup? No
will I still watch this? Absolutely
Yep
Am I a qualified chef yes, do I still watch every week? You bet ! 😂😂
Same lol
Right? I don't even eat chicken and I've watched all the videos lol
@@glittergirlturner im literally vegan... and i watch every video. cannot explain it
The fact this channel exists at all is a blessing.
You just blew my mind when you removed the celery strings. Wth? It was like magic! I didn't even know that was possible. Thanks for that huge tip!
Exactly! Never knew this trick existed, and my life will forever be changed because of it! Thank you so much for sharing this trick.😁🤗👍
She's such a caring mom and down to earth person!
❤️
I really appreciate how you say "I checked with my pediatrician...". I have seen too-many moms apply faux diets or not-yet-proven health-foods to their children. Children have very different nutrition requirements so checking with a doctor or registered dietitian is a great sanity check.
You and Red should cook together! :) Awesome recipe definitely going to try it.
That's a show
oh my gosh, thank you for the celery trick!! SAVED MY LIFE
I love that celery trick. Also every time you said dill I was hoping you’d follow it up with hole! 😁👏🏻
Thanks for all the suggestions about prepping to make meals easy. Enjoyed your stories about your mom. You have good suggestions and give clear descriptions of how to prepare food.
Love your cooking...your approach is so relaxing!
Any ideas for some smoothies, nutritious jus or energetic stuff.. that would be great 😀
Yes, that is an excellent idea! Any recipes that would boost this Mama's energy levels would be greatly appreciated and much-needed! Please please please do a couple of recipes high in energy. 🤗👍😉♥️😊👏❤💙💚💜💛🖤

It's great how you always learn us these little tricks. Thank you! ❤
It looks so yummy like all that you cook ❤️
You can also use a potato peeler on the back of the celery to cut off the threads.
Amazing celery trick! Thank you! I have always used a peeler 😬. Enjoy your channel very much.
Thanks again Laura! Although I'm a vegetarian, I love to watch your videos ! ❤
Could you do a video of smoothies or healthy drinks easy to make?? I always stick to a strawberry but I’m kinda bored of it. Thanks!! Great vid
Thanks for this video, I loved to cook chicken soup, well I guess this time I'm gonna try your recipe with celery and a little bit of parsley. I really love your voice. Thanks Laura for the recipe. ❤️❤️❤️
It looks delicious...yummy!!! I will make it for my kids laura..
Looks so good! And I love all your tips and tricks, thank you! How do you prep your fresh herbs? Any tips to keep them longer?
Looks so good! And it's all healthy which I love. Never made something like this from scratch but I am tempted to try this for me and my son.
I'm really impressed you cook at home so much considering your schedule. I find it hard to cook a lot being a working Mom. I love the Bear Creek soup mix and add in some extras. Love your videos!

Never knew about the celery strings! It’s not my grandmother’s chicken soup…but looks great…
Did not know that celery trick. The only reason I don't eat celery is bc of the strings. Can't wait to try that now.
So the chicken is precooked before it goes onto the soup? I cook a lot too. I am a bachelor and sharpening up my cooking skills 😋 for that right woman who will steal my heart ❤️. I forgot about the celery trick until now! Thanks a lot.

i'm not sure if its something your editor has done intentionally for whatever reasons but throughout the video there'd quite a lot of single frames that are really out of place and it's super distracting
Insertwittynamehere 1 lol I was searching the comments for anyone else seeing it because I definitely did. Subliminal messages? 😂
I noticed this too. Momo? 😂
What are single frames
I managed to pause the video on one of them and it was the thumbnail for this video. Must be accidental.

Oh my gosh, I want to go out and buy celery right now so I can try that trick! 🤯❤️
What water do you drink/recommend?
Shu-lot actually sounded correct the third time you said it. 😂🖤
Oh my God, I'm so glad I found you. I totally love you! lol. Can you tell me why and when you incorporated chicken broth into your diet?
I also like your small pot you’re using. When I make it, I make a big pot for the 6 of us. On day 2, I’ll add either egg noodles, macaroni noodles or rice. Never on day 1. But on day 2, it’s fun to add it
Hi, what are the 2 seasoning you put in the soup?
I love it❤️
I still give a few fresh peas in the chicken soup. tastes great! Greetings from Germany
seems to be sensational, I'll try to do it at home !!
wonderful and beautiful as ever !!!! 😍😍
Ok order some of that rice. Will make this. Its cold in Chicago and everyone is sick, have to give dill a whirl, we always just put chopped parsley.
I'm definitely trying this😋
I use kitchen scissors all the time, but this is the first time I've seen them come apart so easily for cleaning. All of a sudden I realized why you were calling them "chicken scissors" - so much easier to make sure no bacteria is harboured between the blades!
Love the videos!!! Let’s see a cake receipt :)
I love @Laura Prepon 😍😍😍😍
