- Let's act like this video isn't over a month late... this video breaks down connections between music videos including Taemin's Idea, Kai's Mmmh, BoA's Better, plus extra teasers with aespa and NCT. I split the groups who I think are part of the SM cinematic universe into who I think are the heroes and the villains. Let me know some of your theories about the SM universe in the comments as well!

Thank you guys so much for watching and sharing your own theories! For those of you asking about TVXQ, I'll probably try to make a theory video about them but it might take me some time since I haven't seen too many of their older mv's.

I know I'm a bit late, but I saw this youtuber talk about the nct 127-dream-wayv storyline, and they referenced the train that appears in many sm artists' mvs (black mamba, don't call me, 100 etc). They said that they think that this might be the way everyone travels through dream and reality and then in one sm station, nct dream uses the train (I think they said that the dreamies hijacked it) to travel to the world where nct 127 were in (basically nct's planet), this allows them to spot other artists like Baekhyun and Red Velvet but then SUJU (super junior) sees them and they run after the dreamies to stop them. Do you think that this could possibly mean that SUJU are also potentially apart of the red force as they actively prevented dream from reaching 127? I'd love to hear what you think about it!
SM we just need a EXO movie combining all these theories together like for their 15th/20th anniversary if theyre still part of SM that is.

Will you be making another theory video now that Aespa had their comeback and universe episode along with Taemin’s new comeback? I’d love to see your thoughts and ideas on everything since I believe both tie into the storyline. Also I think at the end of SuperM’s One the reason we get the members flashes and then Taemin receiving Aespa’s logo is either because Aespa is calling for help to the avengers because of black mamba or Taemin is getting it because his red force team or black mamba is letting him know they have control of Aespa. Just a thought I had, but I could never figure out why SM would bother showing flashes of the members storyline after all this time only to end it to promote or hint at their new gg Aespa, but now I think their is a deeper meaning and it all ties in somehow. Thank you for making these videos because I’m so fascinated with this storyline and love hearing what people think and the connection they make sense I’m so bad at figuring it out lol

I think that in Taemin's want video, he has snakes.. so he can be Aespa's villain too-
I've done an analysis of Taemin's "Want" video and it really matches up with a retelling of Genesis 3 where Taemin represents Lucifer. In ancient times, a "snake" was iconography which represented spiritual/godly figures. The specific Hebrew word (derived from ancient Akkadian & Ugarit) used in that portion of scripture is "ncsh" (ancient Hebrew didn't have vowels). The way it's used grammatically in the passage creates a triple entendre meaning, "divine shining being". Therefore, Eve wasn't talking to an actual snake, but a spiritual being. So, this could actually fit into this storyline. After all, Lucifer was a fallen angel and considered the most beautiful angel of all. His name means "Light Bearer" or "Shining One".

I personally don't think that any of shinee's stuff is related to this theory, about the snake Taemin actually explained the meaning! taemin and shinee followed the little prince story through some mvs, fox in good evening and i want you, the snake in want and the rose in a concert vcr, same concert where he explained the conection (this is also one of jonghyun's favorite books :3)
In the MV of Want they also put Karina from aespa who danced with Taemin precisely because she had to make her debut with aespa where in the MV the main thing is the snake as in Want

Actually, if we try to connect some MVs from the past that also have references to this SMCU, we can then include:
-Girls’ Generation’s Oh (virtual world)
-Run Devil Run (evil counter part was created in result from that virtual world) and
- The Boys (which setting’s looks like another dimension space and time like how Yoona pick up a mysterious stone from the start of the MV)
I’m pretty sure Super Junior, TVXQ , SHINee and f(x) also at least have tiny references to the SMCU.
WHICH MEANS, SMCU was plotted from the very long time ago, and 2019-2020 was the start to fully understand and grasp this whole insanely mindblowing thing Lee Soo Man created. From EXO planet to NCT’s confusing concept at first, to aespa’s debut, everything clearly connected the dots. MAN, CAN WE HAVE A MOVIE FOR THIS? @ SMTOWN??? Could you make a netflix movie for this? That would be so cool.
Baekhyun's solo mvs could have Also a relationship with this and exo's story since his concert individual vcr shows some coincidences with exo's VCR, and he also uses his powers refering "light" in literally everything.
I guess all exo members solo have some connection to exo theory. Cause Lay use his power+ship/ unicorn and his MVs have connection with exo MVs. Baekhyun light and Suho H2O and Chen's album cover is nature with him but his superpower is thunder. So Idk about him. Kai uses his teleportation in MV.

Please reconsider including f(x)’s “Red Light MV” and “4 Walls” into the narrative of being a member (maybe) of the red force. Some elements i think could connect them to this SM cinematic universe:
“Red Light” MV:
1. The a phone ringing at the beginning of the mv is similar to the phone that was talked in the connection of red velvet and exo’s mv’s.
2. The make up of the members being half heavy makeup and the other half being an innocent one. This could be an indication that maybe they got cloned too like exo or they’re unsure if they want to join the red force or not.
Extra(not sure if it has something to do with anything):
1. By the end of the video, You can see that Krystal is wearing an eye patch covering the innocent side of her face could be an indication that she chooses to side the red force. ???
2. The cat that keeps appearing and meowing at the beginning and at the end of the mv could have something to do with the cat in exo’s power mv. However the cat in this video is I assume is a black cat meanwhile in exo’s power mv, Baekhyun is holding a white cat.
3. Those weird mannequins that have connection like patterns on their backs. This could be connected to RV’s theory with robots.
“4 Walls” MV:
1. This could be the members being stucked in a place that has something to do withe the “dream” and “matrix” concept. The reason for this is the last part of the vid where luna woke up in the tub and run towards the bed to sleep again, im assuming to go back to the reality and victoria running to because of Amber to prevent the breaking of the teacup. The breaking of it could be an indication of going back or being stuck on that other world again. Sorry im not good at explaining but you’ll understand once you watch the mv).
2. THE BUTTERFLY that kept appearing while they were in the forest wondering could be connected to aespa’s theory.
Extra:
1. The flower that kept appearing in their mv’s from the artificial flower from RPP, the flower in RL and the flowers in 4 walls could be connected to Lay’s flower in the pathcode teaser and other exo mvs that has flowers. Im not sure about this one.
Other stuff: there was also a snake on EXO’s lotto mv, maybe thats BoA. Lol

surprisingly you can hear that "music" thing in every end of SM music videos in the last chorus of Red Velvet's Psycho.
I don't know if this is apart of the sm universe but considering its themes it might be, in ten and winwin's lovely dance cover their visual concept and overall concept was yin and yang and in the video they have a tree split in half one representing yin and one representing yang, the two sides fight for control and then at the end come together as one, i'm thinking maybe this lowkey hints at how the tree of life came to be and then the conflict surrounding the whole split universe and possibly the ending of this fight, then again ten and winwin made this up themselves but who knows maybe some of the idols knew abt the universe or maybe some sm staff suggested something but honestly it could be a coincidence that it fits in with the universe's overall themes

my theory: NCT Dream and Beakhyun(alone) are connected. the carousel in the teaser photos for ridin appear in the amusment park as well as several scenes in dejavu wherein the setting was an amusement park. also nct's medium scale is actually blue=reality while red= dream but yellow is an unidentified medium but is theorized as the land wherein dreams can affect reality or possibly ether.
Yeri!! The sound is also at the end of the character teasers that SHINEE is releasing presently! I agree wholeheartedly that the videos containing that sound are indicative of them being a part of the universe. That makes me so excited! I really wonder how the rest of SHINEE will tie into the universe! 🤩
Maybe Taeyeon with "What Do I Call You" (just the MV) is related to SMCU, NCT are in a lab and exo was also in one, Lucky one.
I just binged all of your theory videos in order to watch this one and understand everything that was going on and I love how thorough you are with your analysis!! I'm a huge fan of big, expansive theories like these, though the SM one is a bit more complicated than my brain can handle right now lol. Luckily, you do a great job of laying everything out! I've read somewhere that f(x) was the group that tried to save others from black mamba but they've failed to do so and you can see it in their music videos especially with 4 walls wherein they seem to be trapped in some sort of a universe and in red light, they could've been warning the others about the red force where the black mamba is but they were just ahead of their time and they were alone fighting it. So, they failed and now Aespa comes to the rescue in destroying black mamba and to help f(x). LIKE DAMNNN THAT WAS MINDBLOWING!!!!!

I have a feeling that they are going to make the song of the year (Don't fight the feeling), I mean they are going to break it, EXO always tends to break it and have a lot of new fans every 2 or 3 years, 2013 with Growl, 2016 with Monster, 2018 with Love Shot, now time follows 2021.
I hope this new EXO's comeback would give us a better idea.

not trying to be a buzzkill or anything, but taemin want comeback was literally about him being the tempting forbidden apple for eve and the snakes in want mv weren't even black mambas & they were in the mv to represent Lilith. his recent comebacks for criminal & idea was about him trapped in his previous stage persona and he breaks free from it in idea mv; the people in the bar in idea mv were people trapped in limbo between heaven & hell, and the metallic person was actually was supposed to be taemin, but taemin said they didn't have time to finish it so they left it like that he said all that himself. also, he comes with his comeback and album concepts himself sm has nothing to do with it and all those were heavily inspired by catholicism & philosophy; they weren't related to aespa or any other group or the sm universe
that said danger mv was sm idea and the song itself meaning in kor is phantom thief which that what could be related to the sm concept, I would add move mv concept as well which was different than his other mvs, isn't related to the story and aesthetic taemin personally add & he disappears in it at the end which could relate to something outside of his other solos

Everytime there is a red logo at the end of an mv, i think it means that in that particular mv, the evil taemin is dominating or in control (like in advice and criminal)
my theory: kai controls the entire universe. as seen in his “ Mmmh” music video he controls the city and teleports through Kwangya. He controls every sm artists (NCT, aespa etc.) he controls aespas ai’s in their new mv.

I think I have a theory the older artist in sm are the villain and the newest are the heroes because the red force wants to stop the newer artists from creating a better world and stoping them that’s why there are trying to manipulate them and join them and preserver their old world that why nct it trying to make an army of heroes and aespa are trying to find a way out of this world through their avatars and super M is trying to find the best of best to find out what world their in and way v is trying to find out what made their world and how they can fight back so that all I have for right now ( side note remember there’s a super m comic being created at marvel so there might be more stuff coming out there) so ya I have a lot more theory but this one was a quick little thing I wanted to share

But i'm also agree that you put RV in the Villain (Red Force) side. I&S may be just a unit, but they can be symbols of an entire group. because their debut song is titled 'Monster' so I agree that they might be included in the 'Red force'. But in 'Naughty' I also thought that maybe there would be a member joining the villain side and a member joining the hero side, because in the last scene I&S ended up splitting up.

i rewatched all videos of sm starting from october up to the latest. i mainly focused on the sound of the ending sm logo. i want to add that there are more videos with the sound on sm ending logos like:
-taemin's criminal(mint remix) mv
-hyoyeon's think about me (teaser, mv, and interview)
-boa's videos on her channel starting from october and also the 202020
-some of kai videos on exo channel
-nct's from home(rearranged ver), make a wish remix
-mostly all of aespa's vids on their channel starting from the intro
what got me thinking is that why baekhyun's songs/videos doesn't have the ending sound?
also why did kai and baekhyun's reaction to mmmh just showed a black screen on the end instead of like the sm logo with sound even though we know that he is part of the smcu?
I feel like all sm artists are part of the smcu, all artists with sound on the sm ending logo or the ones being manipulated are on one team. then other artists without the ending sound are also on one team.
i feel like there is one or more members they manipulated for every group. wdyt??
I wonder now about f(x) video, 4 walls cause because of one action the members are found in another dimension and they are trying to scape the forest and a butterfly also appears, and at the end Victoria evoids the action so the members stay in their place. Also in red light they seem to be fighting or running of something and we get to see a dark side of them, they even look like villians there, however then they also appear in a more quiet place dress all in white and holding hands, maybe it could mean they defeat something. I now they are not active anymore, but I think with that MVs they could probably be include by SM in this universe in a beggining. Unfortunaly they are not longer active, but I strongly believe they would have been a really important part in this universe. Maybe I'm wrong, perhabs you could see those videos and see if that could be a posibility. This video was great, thanks!

I have a theory that aespa should not be meeting their ae's
In the second verse we hear winter's iconic line "im the aespa, there cant be two"
Which means that there should only be one aespa, and that the ae's are not allowed to meet the real aespa
But one of the members still got to meet them, Karina.
Notice that in all of their teasers Karina is the only one who interacted closely to her ae.
And in one of aespa's interviews they drew something, and ningning drew a queen and their 4 symbols the queen said something in the lines of im watching you. And the interesting thing here is that the name of the queen is NAVIS
And in my karina NAVIS apparently helped ae karina to meet karina, but it turns out that this is actually a part of NAVIS' plan. That is to control all the girls one by one.
In the Black mamba mv we saw karina go to the area where the cgi thing in the end came up by herself. This is the black mambas lair.
And what is the figure that came up in the end of the mv, a human chi thing with pushed back hair.
Who is teased from time to time until now that has pushed back hair? NAVIS
So this means that NAVIS already corrupted Karina (as seen in the scene Black Mamba:Intro video) and that NAVIS will come back for another corruption. And i have a theory on who will be next.

it can be true. In last exo comeback they were fighting their clones/ ineer self. EXO( good side) vs X-EXO ( bad side). That means they arent stable and fighting for control over body. Some exo-l s r saying that all this yers we saw X-EXO side and we were travelling back in time. Maybe same will happen to Karina but if she doesnt know that she is already corrupted then she will easily work for red force/ snake or whatever that is and other members will be in danger.

Considering smcu has been hinted for years, i think BoA's character has been hinted to be the creator of the universe or the goddess herself and that she had been good, if you see her videos she's usually the angel. But on Shadow she's on the tree of life and it has been destroyed and she blindfolds her eyes. I think that's her turning point of her turning evil and becoming the enemy since most her videos had gotten a darker tone gradually.

After watching all sort of vid theories and my own mussing I have started to wonder if Winwin and Ten (NCT) arent each the halve of the tree of life but in human form ? BUT one part kind of went messed up (Winwin)..... because in a lot of videos (nct and wayv) it seems like SM put a lot of importance on these two....

I remember that I've read somewhere that BOA & TVXQ are the god, SUJU and GG and shinee are the advisers\counselor, EXO & RV are supernatural creaturs, AESPA & NCT are humans. but they all have traitors or spy from the villian. it makes sense, it's like we have the order from the obove to humans base on the date of their debut. and we cant say if BOA is the villian, it's like she is in the between as we know how god is in charge of good and bad. and we know SUJU & GG & SHINEE has always act like big brothers and sisters, they always have this support role. and we all know about EXO & RV. For NCT we have seen it in their MVs that they talk about humanity and this world, another thing is the never ending method they hve with members, humans right? for AESPA as this new film they have published for SMU we know they ARE humans who have AEs. with this theory SuperM ARE Avengers and just like marvel's movies they have suoernatuarls, humans and advisor.

for the chess thing, rbb and psycho had chess sets for the mvs as well! the girls for the rbb teasers each had crowns or some sort of accessory symbolizing the pieces of chess. and yeri was shown knocking over chess pieces in psycho’s teaser shoot as wells.

Could it be the same thing that's happening to Karina that Seulrene are being manipulated from the inside as well and that they're trying to fight it? And don't WayV, Kai and Seulrene kinda connect with the dystopia theme? So could it be that the ending of Obsession is connected to WayV going to the future and Seulrene creating Kwangya?

In my basis, TVXQ is the one who started the SM Cinematic Universe but they are not really the universe. BoA is the one who controls both SMCU and SMU. Therefore I can include that she is really the Black Mamba in Aespa's story.
When SNSD debuted it didn't feel like they were the hint for SMCU and SMU but rather they are the color and an element for the SM Universe. ( It just came to me that that's how I feel for SNSD's concept).
Let's take a look at f(x) and Shinee's music videos, both have the same vibe of concepts. However, Shinee's videos can be portrayed somehow as cinematic while f(x) had that vibe like of SNSD. Both of the girl group were just an accessory for building up the SM Universe.
Shinee's Taemin could be the villain in Aespa's story and just a persona in every group that is not really himself. ( Groups are: Shinee and SuperM), the solo Taemin is the real Taemin. However, it could be possible that Exo's Kai is the eye or the spy of the SM Universe. Like that of Exo, they are the ruler of SM Universe. From Kai's Mmmh Music Video, it can be seen that he uses his power teleportation every time. ( I can prefer that his teleportation is the cause of the glitch which I think that Kai himself is the "glitch" that caused Aespa's AI to be hacked.
Exo started to build the universe, since they were like the "aliens". Which is they are the big part in SM Universe. But every sub-unit of Exo has elements of SM Cinematic Universe and also their new concept ÉXÒ.
When Red Velvet arrived in the scene. It seems like they prowess the Black Mamba aura, BoA is very close to RV. My conclusion here is that RV was being possessed by the Black Mamba which BoA possesses on. They are like the hindrance and the accessory of Aespa's AI being hacked.
NCT, on the other hand, were like the disciples of the SM Cinematic Universe. You can see that Mark is present in NCT's 3 groups because he plays a big role in the Cinematic Story and even in SuperM.
All of the concepts and stories in the senior groups of SM has a story untold and a connection to AESPA'S Story and Concept.
PS: This is my conclusion based on what I have observed upon gathering story points after watching SM's music videos. Please respect my conclusion.😊

Ahhh this is super cool ever since I got into NCT and looked at other groups in SM I always thought there might be a connection. I was curious though in Turn back Time it seems that the Wayv seem to have powers and you in a different video mentioned the ending looked like a dystopian future. Did I miss it or do you think there's a connection with the powers to EXO or Asepa in anyway? Also did Lucas or Ten show any of their "powers" in any of the SuperM MV?

Now that Red Velvet’s having a comeback soon, we’re going to need an update to this. I still see Red Velvet as the Red Force. But now we have Seulgi saying that they’re Black Mamba. We’ll need to see how their comeback plays out to see if they’re two separate entities, if the Red Force is in line with Black Mamba, or what the heck’s going on lol
