Impact Evaluation - What is Impact Evaluation and its types
Impact evaluation is a type of evaluation that assesses the changes or outcomes that can be attributed to an intervention or program. There are different types of impact evaluations, including:
    1. Experimental impact evaluation: This type of evaluation involves randomly assigning individuals or groups to receiving and non receiving groups and then measuring the differences in the outcomes between these two groups. That is one group receives the intervention and another does not, and their differences are measured see the impact of any intervention. Randomized controlled trials (RCTs) are a common form of experimental impact evaluation.
    2. Quasi-experimental impact evaluation: This type of evaluation uses a comparison group that is not randomly assigned, but is carefully selected to be similar to the intervention group in terms of key characteristics. Quasi-experimental evaluations are often used when randomization is not feasible or ethical.
    3. Non-experimental impact evaluation: This type of evaluation uses statistical methods to compare outcomes before and after the intervention, and to control for other factors that could affect the outcomes. Non-experimental evaluations can be useful when there is no comparison group, or when experimental or quasi-experimental designs are not feasible.
