As if Marty would have waited until now to tell his mother about the fire. As if Meg wouldn't have heard about sailors dying in a navy fire on the news and contacted him about it.
Yeah but it would have been life sentences at blackmoor. Killing an officer would get them daily beatings from the guards. Wentworth is like a hotel compared to that old Victorian age blackmoor. They really did have prisons like that back then. They would have been hell holes.
People say these episodes arnt that good and joan isnt scary anymore, but the point is this final season of prisoner is about how joan finally starts to crack and becomes the joke.
I'm absolutely loving these episodes since a little way after Rita arrived- it's so much more fun to watch, and I'm sailing through my normal quota of watching! That's a good thing- coz I bought the full boxset of Wonder Woman recently, and I've sworn to myself that I can only start watching it when I've finally finished watching Prisoner! So, all good!! XD
If you watch any drama tv series that run a course of many years you see the characters change. It can also be put down to change of writers/directors of which prisoner went through many in its 8 year run. As well think the 600 plus era was pretty good all up.
Great observation. She starts to crack and feels threatened and desperate. Makes her more dangerous as ever, some of her decisions later on are heinous, even for the freak

It is, I still love these episodes as much as the others. I look at these episodes as sort of a revamp - now that Lou's gone it's pretty much all new players and it's only going to get better with the storylines some of them have just around the corner.
These episodes with Connors and Warriors vs. Maxwell is no doubt better than Lou, she sticked around as the only main antagonist in the prison block for way too long, she became really boring. Maxwell is much more interesting as she's something of an anti-hero with a lot more nuance, and she also adds nuance to Connors and 'Warrioirs', as they get potrayed a lot less sympathetic.
Lexie is worse than Joan by this point. She shouts at everyone, insults her friends constantly, is constantly pushing for people she doesn't like to be bashed. or worse. At least Joan can be nice to people on the outside when they show her kindness.
