Thanks for the informational video. To add, today I reviewed the Satrang Mass File Download AppExchange app which claims to download all the documents, records' attachments/files, library files in few clicks. Highly recommendable!!

after download, duplicate files names are appended with numbers that may loose relationship with actual SF records in reporting.
    but good info

    Hi, @21 Knots Salesforce Solutions
Thank you for the simple solution. I tried to follow the approach but unfortunately, all the files are getting downloaded as .html files. How can I resolve those? Thanks in advance

THis is a very cool hack. Is there a way to pull the file down and rename it? Need to associate it to a record somehow. Downloading in bulk, with just the "title" field as the default isn't constructive to associate to the parent record. Any thoughts?

Thanks for the awesome information. I have a question, when you are done downloading using DataLoader? Do you have copies of those document in SF?

    • @21Knots

Hi Ugo. Yes. The files remain in your Salesforce org. We are simply downloading them.

@@21Knots Oh great. Thank you so much. I wanted to download some document but I wasn't sure if it's deleting those doc from SF. Can I narrow down the folder I want to download from?
