A few days BIG died, we were told the album release date. I was in 11th grade. You could call the music store and reserve a copy. One kid was willing to skip school and pick up a bunch of our copies when the store opened at 10am. Homie snuck back into school w like 30 double CDs and someone had a boom box plugged in the cafeteria and this is the first song that was played. Again and again and again like it was the only song yo this shit was LIT March 1997

I have loved Bone Thugs since I was 7, I'm 35 now and they are still my favorite rap group with Bizzy Bone and Krayzie Bone being my favorite rappers (along with Pac and Nas). These songs weren't in the spotlight but bangers and real life stuff. No surrender addresses the way it was back then when the police were always killing whenever they wanted. I'm gonna keep listening, but I love you brought up Bone Thugs worked with both. My thoughts on the Biggie/Pac "beef" was settled in this. Pac made a whole song, and scattered references to Biggie in a lot of his songs. A huge part of Tupacs career was the Biggie "beef" , and he capitalized. These two lines here are the ONLY times he alluded to Pac, and it was subtle, not an outfront diss. Biggie made his own name, Pac made his name, and used Biggie to build his fame too. Biggie had more beef with Wu Tang than Pac. Method Man almost got kicked out of Wu Tang for callabing on Ready To Die. Pac made a diss track on Biggie with other jabs in songs while Biggies two Pac (😅) references are in this song and don't mention him by name. Pac made songs, Biggie wrote 4 lines... "Been in this shit since 92, Look at all the bullshit I've thru, So called "beef" with "You Know Who". And when he says "lyrically N* Can't C Me". Literally the only 2 times Biggie talked on Pac.
I finished listening, and you got it. This is better than their song with Pac. They dumbed down their style for Pac. Biggie stepped up for Bone Thugs. Biggie is better than Pac. Both are hip hop royalty, but Biggie really was the best. It's sad that neither got to work with MF DOOM (Biggie/DOOM is the best ever collaboration that never happened), or a Pac/Mos Def. I'm gonna keep listening, but I love you brought up Bone Thugs worked with both.
My thoughts on the Biggie/Pac "beef" was settled in this. Pac made a whole song, and scattered references to Biggie in a lot of his songs. A huge part of Tupacs career was the Biggie "beef" , and he capitalized.
These two lines here are the ONLY times he alluded to Pac, and it was subtle, not an outfront diss.
Biggie made his own name, Pac made his name, and used Biggie to build his fame too.
Biggie had more beef with Wu Tang than Pac. Method Man almost got kicked out of Wu Tang for callabing on Ready To Die.
Pac made a diss track on Biggie with other jabs in songs while Biggies two Pac (😅) references are in this song and don't mention him by name. Pac made songs, Biggie wrote 4 lines...

Literally the only 2 times Biggie talked on Pac.
I finished listening, and you got it. This is better than their song with Pac. They dumbed down their style for Pac. Biggie stepped up for Bone Thugs. Biggie is better than Pac. Both are hip hop royalty, but Biggie really was the best. It's sad that neither got to work with MF DOOM (Biggie/DOOM is the best ever collaboration that never happened), or a Pac/Mos Def. Or a Biggie/Pac/Lupe Fiasco album. Sad they had to die too soon
