I did as many miles each year as you when I lived in Fairbanks, but in terms of mountain miles I probably only got close on Arctic Man course prep and years when I also did Iron Dog course scouting. I bet you would excell at both, and wanting to do them has never been a pre-req for being one of the the winners. ;) Thanks for your vlog, makes me feel like I am above the snowline and running sleds again.
Haha I love it! we've all been there when we test out a buddies sled and just putz around an open area, taking it easy. Then when we try and give it back there always like thats it? come on ride it!
What’s the slash like on the trail as far as overheating at all? Like riding from lower elevation in McCall up to where you’re going to Ride Any change or trade off from earlier years or not?
We had a pretty long trail ride in and out where my Axys would get a little warm here and there The guys riding the Matryx sleds didn't seem to have to get off in fresh snow to cool down like I was at all. I am hoping to get on on them again this spring and will make another video if I do.
@@208Productions nice I was worried about that with the slash We used to have heat problems all the time with the Arctic cats And even the ski doo etec had its moments where you had to make emergency dive offs into the powder. I hate following guys with the cross over sleds to the pow I feel like I get there after they’ve eaten lunch Cuz of how often I get off the trail or even have to stop I didn’t want to buy a slash and make that problem worse But I heard they changed the heat exchanger
Chris Burandt uses his middle finger as well. Its just what has always felt best to me for control. Some people prefer the index finger...just personal preference really.
Well you can't get one I tried 2 days ago to snowcheck a boost slash no go phoned my local dealer buddy told me they'd give me great deal on a non turbo been riding polaros since 97 not next year im done snowchecked turbo doo goodbye polaris
@@brentlittle2810 why I r9ad one 3 times this year and it rocked not to mention my buddy has had zero issues with his seems everytime polaris comes out with something new engine wise its three years before it works properly and the way that turbo is mounted straight up and down looks like a recipe for failure heat rises
