Bad Influence is the only movie whose soundtrack has a Skinny Puppy song on it (Who's Laughing Now? which makes good use of some soundbites from The Evil Dead II).
It's a little known fact that Tom Hanks was in The Bonfires of the Vanities. Same year he did that Meg Ryan romance. James Spader from The Blacklist also starred in White Palace with Susan Sarandon. When he did Bad Influence that same year too.
As far as Joe Vs the Volcano, I did like it as a young one. But even then I liked the beginning much better, before he went to the island. The part when he goes off at work was funny. I wasn't sure if I had ever seen Bad Influence and just recently started watching on Prime. I'm almost done. But seeing it as an adult, and I hope this is what Gene meant by implausible, the Rob Lowe character isn't believable. At first he helps him. But then he goes through all that elaborate stuff to ruin his life??? Come on. It's not sadistic. It's silly.
Too bad she had the botched plastic surgery .. Her true aged face might have had dignity .. Some women age well .. That is where 'Grande Domes' come from .. Growing into mature roles .. TgT
The Handmaid's Take and Bad Influence are good movies.
Bad Influence is a forgotten gem of the early 90’s.
Absolutely and that's unfortunate, as it deserved a lot more recognition and appreciation. It was an overall solid and intriguing thriller.
I agree.
Yes!!! Good movie!!!

Bad Influence is a great movie. I think it’s an early version of Fight Club.
roger ebert on Rob Lowe's Bad Influence character: "...a strong man who is a Very violent, dangerous, and evil man..."
R.I.P Joe Bologna.
So, if you believe in elves and the tooth fairy you'll love this movie (Joe vs. the Volcano).
When Meg Ryan is playing the rich girl she looks so much like Nicole Kidman.

Yup.
Except that it's NOT a little-known fact that Hanks starred in that stinker Bonfires of the Vanities.
White palace is the best movie of them all.

Joe/volcano was bloody awful.

Too bad meg ryan had to age
You mean too bad she destroyed her face with plastic surgery.
