Hey Jesse, been following you for a while. Like the content you're doing, love all the XJ content it is really appreciated. Have fun! For the wheels I personally wouldn't go over 16 inch, to not get too much into the pimp-mobile zone, but hey, it's your car, do whatever you like!
Have enjoyed XJ since the mid 90s, my first love affair was a old rusty series 1 XJ. As a 20 year old Jaguar owner everyone thought I was a pimp! 😂
Similar story here… I got a $6000 XJS at 19. My mom accused me of being a drug dealer.
I would look at the post 84 door cards. Much better than those original door cards from 1979. Also can you in California revert to the British Chrome bumpers and proper size headlights? look much better than the US compliant ones from back in the day! I wouldnt go bigger than 17inch rims. Pinch them off your XJR6 they look great on series 3 Jags! definitely re seal the windscreens as they shrink and rust out. You can put XJ40 seats or any other xj seat in the series3
Good to see you again Jesse. Another good description but please DON’T customize this car Pininfarina already made perfect on série 3. No tuning on a Jaguar, it is an elegant and so British old century shape. better buying a Nissan or a Subaru design for your project !!!
Love the upgrades you are suggesting, but would not change the wheels. The extra sidewall on the tyres helps give the Jag that magic carpet ride, and if you lose that you take away the essence of the car! Having said that, your car your choice :)
I've heard about putting a LHS engine in them sounds like a lot of cool upgrades but I like the chrome though but I know the xjr doesn't have it they have painted grills etc.
