    In investing, success requires more than just technical analysis - it takes discipline and emotional resilience. The “time in the market vs. timing the market” mindset has kept me grounded through the market’s ups and downs. Thanks to Evelyn Infurna’s expert guidance and daily insights, along with my focus on learning, my portfolio has grown steadily. Here’s to continued progress!!

      The first time we had tried, we invested €14,000 and after a week we received €50,230. That really helped us a lot to pay our bills.

    Chris is that a cap to a life time isa? I know gov will pay 25% but will they continue to pay that every year or is there a cap after so many years?

    • @chrispalmer24
      @chrispalmer24  9 годин тому +1

      They'll pay it in until you are age 50, at which point it's frozen for 10 years, but still gains interest, then you can withdraw it :)

    Great video Chris. Just a comment, if you choose a mutual fund with say fidelity I understood even if fidelity goes bust the underlying investments are protected. You indicate that with an etf this is not the case ? Or am I wrong and both mutual fund and etf are equally potentially at risk ?Could you shed more light on this area

    • @chrispalmer24
      @chrispalmer24  10 годин тому

      Thanks! You should in theory still own the underlying assets, unless the value of those assets also crashed due to the scale of the etf collapse (regular S&P etc should be fine), you should in theory also be covered under “activity provided by the platform” but it’s always good to be cautious. In theory if the funds are large enough, solid providers and platform you should be fine

    Great video many thanks, am I right in saying a SIP can be taken at age of 57 ( as mentioned in your video) and a private pension is 55. Thanks again

      @chrispalmer24  10 годин тому +2

      Sorry! Essentially it’s 55 now rising to 57 in 2028. I often talk about the future age (I suspect it’ll be higher eventually honestly) or I tend to get a flood of comments saying it’s going up 😅
