This animatic with the beta designs really sets a mature, bitter, upsetting yet unfortunately realistic tone for The Owl House. I wonder if the show would’ve been Dana’s way, if it would be this dark. Anyways, beautiful animatic! I love your art style!!
the art deffinitely had my hooked into the story, to the point where the moment lucia jumps almost gave me a feeling of weightlessness once I saw the frame. the music of coarse tells a great story in its own right, but it would be impossible to get that kind of grip on this story If the you hadn't put this effort into your art, and the way you treated the characters. Im under the impression you used the homeless Lucia version for this story and it fits really well. hope to see more content from you, regardless of if its owlhouse or not.
It's kind of funny that Luz is getting mad at everyone for trying to kill themselves before her. I don't know why, but the "FOR GOD'S SAKE" part makes me laugh

I'm not quite sure why, but I keep coming back to this animatic, and I suppose that is what makes it keep showing up in my recommendations. When you are dealing with your own grab bag of problems, its hard to see how you have helped and affected others, and how much good you can do with seemingly simple actions. When people talk about how horrible humanity is, I always recoil and disagree, because I think fundamentally this kind of human (and witch) interaction is what connects us all, and not the greed and selfishness some would have you believe. For me personally, I always try to be there for people, to give advice and be someone that can be relied upon to help, but it does lead to a bad habit of not letting myself rely on others the same way I try to help others, which isn't exactly healthy. Thank you for making this animatic, it pairs really well with the song and darker themes the Beta Owl House tends to represent, while not losing sight of the people you inadvertently help and affect as you go through life.
I love this animation so much! I really like slightly darker toh content, and I also enjoy the betas as well, so I love this very much! I’m probably gonna rewatch this way too much but it’s fine because the animation is amazing :D
