ASICS is set to debut the GEL-LYTE™ III OG 'Taito' collaboration, a triple partnership with renowned Ueno store mita sneakers and apparel brand KEBOZ, capturing global interest from sneaker enthusiasts.
ASICS dropped the OG GEL-LYTE III back in '90, and it was a game-changer with its split tongue design, giving it that perfect fit. Now, they're teaming up with mita sneakers and KEBOZ for a fresh take called GEL-LYTE™ III OG 'Taito' collab. They've tweaked things for comfort, swapping out the split tongue for a zipper, adding a quick lace system with adjustable stoppers, and throwing in some reflective piping for extra visibility.
Now, onto the design vibes - it's all about Taito Ward, where both mita sneakers and KEBOZ call home. Inspired by the cherry blossoms, Sumida River, and Sensoji Temple at Ueno Zoo, they've mixed up materials to give it that authentic Taito feel.
