5 Kendama Shapes You NEED To Try!

- I've been shopping around for something new and fun to try and it inspired a deep dive look at some of the more interesting kendama shapes that have been released (or are being released soon). These range from way too big (I'm looking at you Sweets Kaiju), to perhaps too tiny, to a totally different shape altogether. Let me know your thoughts on these and hopefully I'll have some of them in my hand one day and not just in the top corner of my screen.

Sumo is amazing its great for learning control. Kaiju is scary but great to have on the shelf. The pill is fun to play but haven't played mine to much yet. Def going to get a chunko to round out my collection of all sizes of kendama.

I currently own all of these (except the analog truffle) and I can safely say they are all a blast in their own right. The sumo is satisfyingly large without feeling like a brick, and it makes stall tricks and balance tricks easier. There’s more real estate for juggles. I’ve found it easier to learn tricks on a normal shape after getting a feel for them on the sumo. The kaiju is too heavy for me to consistently get juggles, but whirlwinds feel like magic and I landed my first bird flip on one. Your speculation was spot on with the chunko. Super fun, but adds a challenge of limited hand space. Good for training juggle consistency. And the pill has been great for learning string tricks, juggles, and experimenting.

ive only tried the pill out of this list and its more of a novelty (kind of) toy. its just because of its shape and lack of cups. but as far as fun factor goes, i definitely recommend it. and i believe theres a small medium and large altho ive only played on a large beech pill.
Dopee yea there's a mid-size and then the OG size which is pretty small. There was also a jumbo but idk if they're still available. I think I'll give the mid-size a try just to change it up from kendama a bit, and like you said it's a fun novelty to maybe even hand to a beginner😅

I got a glow in the dark Krom that’s about the size of a sumo I think, and it really helped with tracking. It’s really fun doing earth turns in the dark, I think it goes for like 30 bucks on Amazon

@@99dedbuffoons17 the jumbo Krom he mentioned here is called the "XL glow" (I actually have an unboxing vid on it), but I've never heard of the viking🤔 and Yep! I think the flames and the lines on the coop mod glow, but I feel like unless the spike is glowing too then playing in the dark is still super tough😂
