Douglas is truly a feast or famine kind of lake, you've proved a feller has to get out of his comfort zone and do a change up to put fish in the boat, the little things are huge sometimes. Love your videos Ryan, keep em' coming.
Thanks man, Douglas can be a very difficult lake at times and it took me a long time to be able to catch fish on a consistent basis there but there are quality fish in that lake for sure.
I appreciate that man but honestly I am an average fisherman that is just fortunate to be able to spend a good amount of time on the water which is key and I get lucky from time to time.
Man I was just down their, I got on a few Saturday caught 1 on a whopper plopper and 2 on a Texas rig, I also missed an ungodly amount of bass on the Texas rig. A awsome lake to fish on.
Good deal buddy!!!! Been trying to figure out what they are doing on Cherokee. I'd love to link up with you and do a Collab video. My good buddies Son in Law has fished with you before.
Shad spawn is on. Under docks/shallow rock. Weightless senko/ocho gp, 1/16 oz. texas rig finesse gp worm. 1 to 2 hours at first light. Lite tackle. Watch your line closely.
Maybe we can get together someday and I agree even though I havent been on Cherokee in about a month I am confident that targeting that shad spawn early is key right now to putting fish in the boat quickly at first light. The only thing I would add to that is a white swimjig and a white spinnerbait can also be very effective during the shad spawn.
@@RyanEppsFishing I will make a note of this. I really appreciate both of your guy's info and looking forward to maybe linking up and fishing together in the future ✌✌

Thanks Ryan. Good video. Your videos are awesome quality. What are to using?
Thanks man, all my videos up until like March were actually all done on my cell phone but after that I shoot everything now on a go pro hero 7 white.
Are u saying from point 9 down to point 1
Yeah I spend a lot of time in that area.
What parts of Douglas lake do you like fishing in?. I fish muddy creek a lot.
The lower end from Dandridge down is where I normally fish just beacuse it is close to me.
Man your an awsome fisherman, how are you not on the pro level?
I appreciate that man but honestly I am an average fisherman that is just fortunate to be able to spend a good amount of time on the water which is key and I get lucky from time to time.
Man I don't beleive that's luck, you no what to do. Your just an awsome fisherman.

Douglas is a great lake, it can be frustrating at times but there are good numbers of quality bass there.
What Shakey Head jig are you using? Looks like the Bagley. I'm not a screw-lok fan.
You are right, it is a Bagley 1/8 ounce head, I prefer the standard head over the screw lock as well.
@@RyanEppsFishing Check out BOSS JIGS. The Brent Ehler Shakey head is similar but maybe a little better hook. I'll be ordering some for myself soon.
Good video man, if your ever around Norris be sure to hit me up. Keep the vids coming
Thanks man, will do
What swim bait is it?
