Thanks. They desperately need a "make over". While 15mm AB acw match the minifig height (as opposed to their giant 18mm napoleonic range) the metal is very weak and bends easily causing paint to crack and flake. I plan to replace the flag poles with steel pins (and new flags) and increase the infantry numbers with Essex figures.
Nice army, always hard to motivate yourself to revisit an old project to touch up and improve the painting or even worse rebasing. But it’s always a worthy hardship. I reworked almost all of my old Naps when a single Division gets amalgamated into a Corps. It’s annoying and frustrating but boy is it worth it. You should revisit them.
Thanks Anthony. It would be a huge job, initially I'd ideally replace the AB's with something sturdier like Essex. The flag poles are extremely soft and should be replaced with steel pins (meaning having to purchase new flags). A complete re-base needed also. Problem is I have so much else on the go!
