They way this OP was using this horn was not like an a-hole, not "road rage" no, it was very preventative, giving heads up or warnings to people to prevent crashes. He wasn't laying on the horn being a jerk to people, he was using it as sparingly as possible. As you can hear, he even does a bit of bike bell even after the horn is installed--when a gentle nudge is all that is needed.

You ask people to respect bicycle laws yet you keep running red lights in all of your videos.
I don't recall asking anyone to respect bike laws, not even sure what bike laws are. I only ask that people remain safe and not be assholes. I fully support cars, cyclists, and pedestrians to cross an intersection on red lights. As long as you are safe, you keep others safe and not impede anyone's right of way, I don't care what you do :)

there's no such thing as bike or cars laws - there's only traffic code. By violating it, even if you're extremely cautious, you set an example to others, because unfortunately people often act like they're in a herd

That was hilarious to watch just like the last one! I started riding, also thanks to you, and I noticed that here nobody uses indicators, people are distracted and on their phone; I almost got run over whole crossing on the bike lane with a green lights because someone wasn't looking properly. I definitely need a Loud Bycicle Horn and if I end up getting it I'll definitely try and film some shenanigans with it! G'day Eugene, amazing as always.

I want a horn because here in Chicago people don't obey the left turn traffic lights. They almost always just turn even with signs posted not to turn on red. So far almost been hit about 3 times. This would be awesome to have and maybe prevent near misses. By the way, I just moved to Chicago from NYC. It's great to see your videos and remember what I had to go through while commuting to and from work.

You had a red light at 3:18 and at 3:34 just to name a few, here in Germany you have to stop as a bicycle driver too, or you get the same fine as a car driver would. In the USA you just drive?

Why do people walk on bike lanes? There is a side WALK for a reason, and a BIKE lane for a reason.
I really like your videos. But I dont get why you have so much trouble with jaywalkers that you still run red lights yourself... Isnt it best for you to follow the rules like you want everyone to follow them?
I don't have a problem with jaywalkers, I have a problem with jaywalkers in my way. The golden rule I believe in for NYC is not to be anyone's way. Doesn't matter if it's Walk/Don't Walk if you can get from one side to the other without being in anyone's way you're ok in my book. Same for blowing reds, I always do a mini stop or slow down to check that there are no cars and I try to yield to peds (sometimes I fail). I wouldn't really care if cars blow reds either as long as no one is around to get hit by them. If you're going to break the rules/law do so politely lol
Well maybe, but this one time in 1000 'attempts' is the one where you make a mistake. Just maybe like everyone else so I feel like it's really up to following the law for the traffic to improve. Ofcourse I live in Belgium so a lot more people don't run reds...

Nobody really follows the do not cross signs unless there are actually cars coming. Even the pedestrians do it, pretty normal there. Not that it's recommended or even legal, but many people are in a rush there. Plus there's so many cops around.

I am glad that you bought the car horn, but do you still need the bycicle bell? I would assume a quick beep from the horn should be enough if you are trying to be courteous.

I watched this video 4 years ago and l loved that horn since then, but wasn't independent and couldn't buy one. I finally bought one and never regretted it. If you live in a place where drivers are oblivious, this is a must have!
I love the idea of being heard by cars. However that horn is designed to pierce soundproof glass. Using it at point blank on unprotected ears is abusive

I'm currently building my own much more streamlined bike horn setup housed in a Fidlock water bottle, since I never ride with a water bottle. I will once I get into trail riding using my new mountain bike but on the road I never carry a water bottle to drink from. Housed in a Fidlock bottle it'll be quick-detachable and thus easily movable between my 3 bikes that see frequent road use. Once it's finished I'll modify a bike bell to be quick-detachable too and put a push button on its clamp that will activate the horn via a wire that runs down to the bottle the horn and its battery are housed in.
Then I'll be able to teach those pesky bike lane pedestrians a lesson!

This video is somewhat disappointing. Ringing at pedestrians is pathetic and brings no results. My very first AirZound is scheduled to arrive tomorrow, and will be a lovely addition to my ebike. I also bought an air compressor to make sure the AirZound is always ready and at full power. The pedestrians blocking my way will be pushed aside at once!

I've look at these. For 169.00 you ban buy a 125db horn. For less than 40, you can get a Hornit db140 which is even louder. This company is based in Boston where you take your life in your hands when you bike. Biggest hassle: idiots going the wrong way in bike lanes and texting/talking on cell phones with no apology.
