And it being institutionalized will always carry with it the caveats of it being dependent and protective of its own powers. I don't believe the police to be an inherent good or ill for society but an important function. The police here in NZ are famously overworked and underpaid, stretched beyond capacity to deal with all problems from mental health crises to robberies to vehicle accidents. I find your assertion of "good cops as well" to be a misdirected, the system and checks is what we need to address instead of making it personal to individuals doing the police work.

No. Bad Boys 2 is NOT a good movie. It's a bloated mess, that does everything it can to catch the lightning-in-a-bottle that was the first one. The jokes are forced, and it's proof that Michael Bay needs an editor to tell him to sit down, as it's at least 45 minutes too long. But the action scenes are well done, and Gabrielle Union is in a bikini, so there's that.

Shelving Batgirl had nothing to with its quality. It could been great or terrible, but the decision would have been the same because money talks.
