I have turned my anguish over to God and like you am quilting, reading, and cross stitching to help ease the devastation I feel. Wow!! You have been super busy!! What glorious quilting!!! I’ve been just as busy, trying to get my mind off of the insanity. It works a lot of the time but it’s always there, the worry and sadness. My faith is stronger than ever and I’m actually fairly calm because I know this is God’s plan. Sometimes I feel do isolated thinking I’m the only one who knows the truth. It’s so comforting to know we are not alone. God will not forsake us. Keep doing things that make you happy.
Yes, Sara. It is a struggle with the effort to divide us in almost every area. At least we know where we can find truth..God's Word. I must keep my eyes on Him and pray for His mercy and perfect will. That He would open the eyes of those who need to see the truth.
Dearest Bonnie, Here in Australia, things are happening that I never believed I would ever see. I teared up as I listened to you, because life is getting tough for Christians and Christian countries. So many scriptures come to mind as I write this, however the one that comes to the fore is Deuteronomy 31:6 “Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; He will never leave you nor forsake you”. He has given us the gift of prayer and to be able to speak with the living God is an awesome privilege. Please know I will be including you in my prayers and will also pray for a new awakening to the truths of the One True God for America 🇺🇸 and Australia. 🇦🇺 Let me also say that I so enjoy your floss tubes. Hello Bonnie. I really enjoyed your quilting video. I love the scrapy ones. I live at Costa Rica, but my daugther is American (I was living at NJ when she came to this world) and she lives at NJ right now. I am always praying God about your country because I keep it in my heart. At Costa Rica we have a great Constitution and freedom practice, and we don't even have army. But I have the same concern about freedom is being crushed little by little (kind of guerilla war against freedom) at U.S.and even at my country. And the governments had been taking God out the nations and out of the schools, forgetting without God nothing is okay.
I understand your concern because I have them also, I am 77 so I have grandchildren that will be so greatly affected by the way things are going. I am a Christian and I know that even though it doesn’t seem like it at times God is in control. We must just trust in His plan.
I want you to know how you inspired me. Last year I kept wanting to do a floss tube/ quilty tube. I knew that I wanted to add God in both of them! I finally started one 3 weeks ago. I do add a word from God in it. I want to add more and will as I do more of them. We need to speak out, cry out to God. He is our Strength and in Him I place my trust! God bless you! We need to speak up. We need to fight for what is right. We need God’s army of angels to fight with us. We must be faith warriors. Don’t even glance at the comments that don’t agree as you. Why did they write that? Just to be mean! That is from the dark side. Sending you peace and prayers.
Our children and I are feeling the same terrible burden of these times as you are. I hope that is a comfort to know that you’re not alone in your distress. I would be heartened, except that there has been such a decline of moral values, respect for others rights when they may not align with the people that want this administration in power, an outright aversion to God and patriotism, the blatant stealing of a presidential election, seeing our President banned from social media and yet Taliban leaders allowed to have an account, then Afghanistan and our standing in the world’s eyes…….it doesn’t seem things will reverse. I keep telling my children that God is in control. I do believe the stage is being set for the unpleasantness that is to come. I tell my children to keep their eyes on our God and He will see us through. We have to keep looking up and pray, pray, pray. On a happier note, I also share your love of quilting. I love all the quilts and little projects you shared, especially the basket quilt! I’m also enjoying being immersed in my quilting to take my mind off of what’s going on in this world. We need to shut it down and seek the peace of God and pursue it. Sending prayers for comfort and strength.

I'm with you. After all how many large quilts do you need. Also since I"m getting up in age small quilts are a little faster to get done, but not alway. LOL. But I am starting to make smaller quilts even taking quilts that have large blocks and making them smaller...love your quilts
I have a mind that never shuts off which makes it hard to sleep too. I agree with everything u said, and didn't say, for fear of being thrown off UA-cam. My only son is a former Marine. He was one of the first ones into Iraq when this began so long ago. Then spent 8 yrs working as a security contractor in Iraq and Afghanistan. I was so blessed that God put people in my path to comfort me n pray for us then. I can say I truly had the peace that surpasses understanding. I grew up a worrier so that peace was definitely from God. Because of being a Marines Mom I have such empathy for military families and when those precious souls were killed I couldn't keep from crying but at the same time I was, and am, so angry because it didn't have to happen. As I watched our sad excuse for a (fraudulent) President greet their flag draped bodies, all I could think is I would have to say to him. " YOU killed my son" and turn my back on him. I'm a very introverted peaceful person, usually, but I'm having so much trouble shaking the anger and sadness. I also have a nephew I love like my own child who is in the Air Force. Maybe that's part of it. But I know my God is faithful and true and mighty. We have to remember He knows what's going on and is working on it already even if it doesn't seem like it. And remember praying is one of the most powerful things we can do. And it changes things. Not always as quickly as we want it to. But it does change things. I too have buried my self in stitching to soothe me and try to listen to as much truth as I can find. Thank you for making the video, as hard as it was for you, because I needed it to lift my spirits and give my mind a much needed rest. And it also helped to hear a like minded Christian speak truth. I am pretty much surrounded by democrats. Thanks for always sharing your heart. Bless you and you are in my prayers. And I to will choose joy never the less.

Log Cabin Stitcher God performed His Miracles..Our parish (county) was spared..but surrounding areas were not..South Louisiana is a mess. Thank you for your prayers. Heading back to school tomorrow and praying that our precious little ones are okay..Going to try and give them love and feeling of security, and regroup what we have taught last few weeks.. thanks again.. believe that dad in his Heavenly Home also protected us..

Regarding the pink: the only description I can find online is that pinks were called "double pink" during the Civil War. There may be other names but haven't found them yet.
Hi Bonnie :-)) your thoughts on life line up with my belief system..I do believe God is not done pouring his grace out on our great nation though..I feel God's presence and I do believe that even though things look really bleak right now..as it has look at times throughout our history..I think of what Washington went through..Gods providence was definitely at play..no doubt about it..we pray and do everything that is humanly possible..I have faith we will come through this..I just purchased a couple of books tonight both of them about George Washington..Washington's Immortals and the other called The Indispensables by Patrick O'Donnell..reminders of what we have been through before.. we have been through times before where it looked like defeat was at hand...then something happened..to change everything....God is right in the middle of the chaos ..keep the faith 🙏🇺🇸🙏 people are praying and waking up like never before!!!
Oh, I just read this to my husband and we both love that beautiful hope of God's Providence turning the impending doom yet again to hope and freedom. When my kids were in homeschool, we studied George Washington and learned so much about his amazing faith and courage. There is a book called The Bulletproof George Washington (I think that's it). So many great books focusing on his humility and his trust in the Almighty God. Our pastor did a sermon in May about Washington's faith called God In America (Real Life With Jack Hibbs.) I haven't seen any videos on it. I don't now why I get nervous about trying to do one. On the next quilting video, which will be soon because I've finished both the Geese in the Grass and the Christmas Log Cabin and making strides on the basket quilting....I'll try to do some sort of instruction on the way I do the big stitch. It's pretty much just a running stitch with about 1/8 inch or a little larger...stitches with the Valdani pearl cotton size 12. Thanks for asking...it gets me moving towards figuring out how to show my stitching.

Dear Bonnie, I share your concerns and have the same sadness of the way of our country. I wanted to share that I get my news in faith from the Victory Channel. Specifically, the Flashpoint show on Tuesday and Thursday night. The other is Victory News twice a day. Go directly to their website The Victory Channel. They have been censored from Facebook and UA-cam. They deal with truth in faith. I share your tears but our G God will not be mocked and there will be justice. God bless you and your family.

I'm with you. After all how many large quilts do you need. Also since I"m getting up in age small quilts are a little faster to get done, but not alway. LOL. But I am starting to make smaller quilts even taking quilts that have large blocks and making them smaller...love your quilts
I have a mind that never shuts off which makes it hard to sleep too. I agree with everything u said, and didn't say, for fear of being thrown off UA-cam. My only son is a former Marine. He was one of the first ones into Iraq when this began so long ago. Then spent 8 yrs working as a security contractor in Iraq and Afghanistan. I was so blessed that God put people in my path to comfort me n pray for us then. I can say I truly had the peace that surpasses understanding. I grew up a worrier so that peace was definitely from God. Because of being a Marines Mom I have such empathy for military families and when those precious souls were killed I couldn't keep from crying but at the same time I was, and am, so angry because it didn't have to happen. As I watched our sad excuse for a (fraudulent) President greet their flag draped bodies, all I could think is I would have to say to him. " YOU killed my son" and turn my back on him. I'm a very introverted peaceful person, usually, but I'm having so much trouble shaking the anger and sadness. I also have a nephew I love like my own child who is in the Air Force. Maybe that's part of it. But I know my God is faithful and true and mighty. We have to remember He knows what's going on and is working on it already even if it doesn't seem like it. And remember praying is one of the most powerful things we can do. And it changes things. Not always as quickly as we want it to. But it does change things. I too have buried my self in stitching to soothe me and try to listen to as much truth as I can find. Thank you for making the video, as hard as it was for you, because I needed it to lift my spirits and give my mind a much needed rest. And it also helped to hear a like minded Christian speak truth. I am pretty much surrounded by democrats. Thanks for always sharing your heart. Bless you and you are in my prayers. And I to will choose joy never the less.

Log Cabin Stitcher God performed His Miracles..Our parish (county) was spared..but surrounding areas were not..South Louisiana is a mess. Thank you for your prayers. Heading back to school tomorrow and praying that our precious little ones are okay..Going to try and give them love and feeling of security, and regroup what we have taught last few weeks.. thanks again.. believe that dad in his Heavenly Home also protected us..

Regarding the pink: the only description I can find online is that pinks were called "double pink" during the Civil War. There may be other names but haven't found them yet.
Hi Bonnie :-)) your thoughts on life line up with my belief system..I do believe God is not done pouring his grace out on our great nation though..I feel God's presence and I do believe that even though things look really bleak right now..as it has look at times throughout our history..I think of what Washington went through..Gods providence was definitely at play..no doubt about it..we pray and do everything that is humanly possible..I have faith we will come through this..I just purchased a couple of books tonight both of them about George Washington..Washington's Immortals and the other called The Indispensables by Patrick O'Donnell..reminders of what we have been through before.. we have been through times before where it looked like defeat was at hand...then something happened..to change everything....God is right in the middle of the chaos ..keep the faith 🙏🇺🇸🙏 people are praying and waking up like never before!!!
Oh, I just read this to my husband and we both love that beautiful hope of God's Providence turning the impending doom yet again to hope and freedom. When my kids were in homeschool, we studied George Washington and learned so much about his amazing faith and courage. There is a book called The Bulletproof George Washington (I think that's it). So many great books focusing on his humility and his trust in the Almighty God. Our pastor did a sermon in May about Washington's faith called God In America (Real Life With Jack Hibbs.) I haven't seen any videos on it. I don't now why I get nervous about trying to do one. On the next quilting video, which will be soon because I've finished both the Geese in the Grass and the Christmas Log Cabin and making strides on the basket quilting....I'll try to do some sort of instruction on the way I do the big stitch. It's pretty much just a running stitch with about 1/8 inch or a little larger...stitches with the Valdani pearl cotton size 12. Thanks for asking...it gets me moving towards figuring out how to show my stitching.

Specifically, the Flashpoint show on Tuesday and Thursday night. The other is Victory News twice a day. Go directly to their website The Victory Channel. They have been censored from Facebook and UA-cam. They deal with truth in faith. I share your tears but our G God will not be mocked and there will be justice. God bless you and your family.
