Sehzade Bayezid (son sultan Ahmed Khan i of Ottoman Empire and his wife Mahfiruz Hatun) was almost like his descendant sehzade Ahmed kemaleddin efendi who was also known for plotting with Ali suavi to overthrow his elder half brother sultan Abdul Hamid Khan ii of Ottoman Empire in 1878.Finally both of them were executed by their own elder half brothers, right 🇹🇷?

When Murad killed beyzait he also killed his two of other full siblings kosem sons .selim and Suleiman.. so that's not Because only beyzait tried to kill him .. there would be something else ..probably fear so he killed three of his brothers at a time then after 3 years he killed kasim

There is no evidence that the real historic Bayezid tried to kill his brother. He was executed together with his two half-brothers Selim and Süleyman because Murad considered them as a threat to his throne. But as far as I know none of them was a traitor. Later on Murad killed his other brother Kasim, when he came of age. Brotherly love was a very special thing in the Ottoman Empire 😉

@@anneb4160 yeah you are right and most of the children of sultan Abdulhamid Khan ii of Ottoman Empire was named after his deceased siblings especially sehzade Mehmed BurhaneddinEfendi. This was the greatest example of brotherly love in the Ottoman Empire, right 🇹🇷?

I wish Bayezid would have made it to the throne. I personally think he would have been a fair and just sultan.

what part of "based on a true story, historical events" do you not understand?
Spiderman and Batman are not just going to magically appear and save everyone and make your favorite Bayezid into sultan.

@stoffelthedestroyer3741 I'm fully aware that this is not historically correct. I'm talking about the drama. You know as in "boy, I sure wish they didn't have to shoot old yellar" at the end of that movie. It's a comment section and I made a comment. If I truly believed in wishes...I certainly wouldn't waste one on a Turkish drama. It's a figure of speech.

The jannisaries and the people would have stood up for Bayezid. Most people wanted Murad gone and Bayezid on the throne to begin with..it wouldn't have been as easy as you think.

Kösem enthroned osman and never rebelled against him and entrusted all her children to him. She only dethroned him when he betrayed her and killed mehmet. Bayazid was never going to betray simply because gulbahar and sinan are ficgional characters and her relationship with Kösem was good so

If you checked the harem registers during Murad 4’s reign there isn’t any registered name of « Gulbahar Hatun, mother of Sehzade Bayazid » or Gulbahar Sultan. Farya is also a fictional character there isn’t any name of « farya » or « shemspir » or whatever in the harem registers. The whole series is a bunch of fiction.
