Holiday Barbie '92 is very memorable. I graduated from high school in '92. That one had sort of a Thierry Mugler look, in my opinion. I liked '91, too.

"Weird crown" on barbie from 2006 reminds me of a kokoshnik. I am from Russia and the kokoshnik is part of our national costume. It seems to me that the whole look of this barbie is inspired by russia. her hairstyle, fur collar and a strange tree on the dress. I all seems familiar to me XD
The black version if the 2020 Barbie is the best. The skin tone goes better with the gold dress and the hair is better quality than the white and brown barbies... I usually try to avoid the white barbies in newer releases because they usually look kinda ugly and generic with over sprayed hair

Personally i love the 2009 and 1990 holiday barbies. I feel like they're reminiscent of presents or Christmas ornaments. I kind of hate the 2020 one though. Its an improvement but for me it bores me. I like the AA one and the Hispanic one though.

I only have a couple of the Christmas Barbie dolls. I think my favorite is still the first one I ever bought, the 1989 doll dressed in white. I bought her back in 1989, and kept her in the box for years and years, and finally brought her ought within the last couple of years. She is MUCH better out of the box.

I definitely think, since I don't unbox my holiday dolls, that I am not as concerned with the quality of materials. Thanks for loving Holiday Barbie enough to make this video. It put some dolls on my radar that I never considered before. I own 2014 and 2018. 2014 was my first Holiday Barbie so I feel sentimental about her. One main difference to my ranking besides not caring about materials is that I LOVE pink for Christmas! Especially for Barbie. Also I'm less fond of darker colors for the holidays. I'm definitely adding some Holiday Barbie dolls to my wish list. My top 10: 1. 1990 - Classic zany Barbie 2. 2018 - Just Gorgeous. Frilly fun. I love her! 3. 2019 - The Candy Cane Theme plus elegance... I can't. 4. 2003 - She is a snow goddess. 5. 1998 - She's EVERYTHING. 6. 2009 - She was my #1 for a while. I love everything about her. 7. 2017 - She has a simple flashy fun flare. So festive and classy. Barbie can dance at the holiday party in this dress. 8. 2008 - There's something so saucy and sexy but also elegant and classy about this one! 9. 2014 - Sentimental because she's my first Holiday barbie. Also this one looks like Barbie is hosting the party. 10. 2012 - Breathtakingly beautiful. It was really difficult to rank them. Some that I adore and want to collect didn't make my top ten. These aren't Christmas dolls, they are holiday dolls. They may sometimes invoke Christmas, but they are purely meant to invoke the season. This is one of those areas where Barbie is being inclusive. These dolls are reminiscent of many things that are present during the holidays such as snow, gifts, champagne (take the gold and rose gold dress), Poinsettias, confetti, etc. So, when you feel a Holiday Barbie isn't invoking Christmas enough for you, that is purposeful.
The idea of ranking the Holiday Barbies is great! My favorite is the elegant 2010 white gown with red embroidery. Her hair also has a different style which I find attractive. I don't like any of the dolls with tulle or the metallic (paper?) fabric.
I’m kinda on the fence but really wannna get the holiday Barbie with her two younger sisters and the sled and her other two sisters in their own boxes this year that I saw at target but idk . I took a pic of them but I don’t think I can post it here on yt . The other two sisters have a baking center and a sled . I’m not talking about the stand alone big elegant holiday Barbie btw just FYI .
My Granmother had everyone of these dolls from the first until the year she died still in the box, my junkie uncle stole and sold all of them within a year of her passing because my blind grandpa didn't notice. Sad and happy memories these bring out for me

My ranking of 5 worst and 5 best Holiday Barbie dolls Worst 33. 2012 : That silver pattern is too random, and dress design is kinda cheap too 32. 2006 : Dress is flat, and personally, Bob Mackie's dolks were too over the top, and I don't like his dolls (Except Marie Antoinette one. That was beautiful) 31. 2016 : Yes, that plastic top is horrible. However, the skirt is really nice. But I don't see anything Christmasy about this doll. 30. 2005 : I'm sure Bob Mackie doesn't know anything about Christmas during that time. Dress is weird. Plus that doll face looks like Drag Queen. 29. 2013 : At least the design is lovely, but it's still cheap. I'll at least give a score for nice design. Anyone from 2000 until now!!! I find for example the first two not bad at all and the Bob Mackie traditional Russian`s vibe is regal and different. I totally agree with the plastic corsets from 2016 though the idea was great displayed into a "crystal ball" in three tones blue-silver, red-gold and green-white.

I've lost some of them . I'll be 20 in a few days and am keeping them all in box in a closet until i can get a display shelf
I remember loving the 2008 holiday barbie since one of the extras on the Barbie in a Christmas Carol DVD showed the making of this doll. I watched that extra more than I watched the actual movie
The 2007 HB is the supreme. I don't know what year it was or if it was the holidays at all, but i remember seeing her as a little boy in the shelf and i was mesmerized. So much beauty, so many details. Truly stunning.
If you’re a designer you will understand the designs of Bob Mackie. 2006 Holiday Barbie is like a Russian inspired gown. 2009 Holiday Barbie is in shades of Pink because she’s celebrating her 50th anniversary they want to used the signature color for Barbie and the ribbon was champagne…gold, because 50th anniversary is Gold.

Favorite Holiday Barbie for me is ranked as follows : 1- 1996 I find it to be very Christmas -sey, Burgundy and Gold with muff, (think Hallmark card) I agree on the skirt not going all around, but I display her with velvet coat spread all down the back - cheap netting covered. 2- 2011 Love the Green and Gold, and the design...thankfully they departed from that "Cinderella" ball gown look for a change, I got the African American gorgeous doll that year, burned out with the blondes. 3- 2008 Again bought this year's doll AA, fantastic hair design and the dress is stunning love the drop waist line and the skirt. 4- 1991 To me Green is great and this gown was elegant and simple. 5- 2019 At first I was put off by the "Barber Pole" look, then I thought of peppermint stick and changed my mind, once again she is AA, for me just beautiful in red, especially love the hair style pulled to one side opposite the red bow on the other side. Your top favorites 1 and 2 are Tops with me too, 2002 Red blonde and 2004 Green AA are displayed side by side in my hutch. The 2006 Mackie doll I bought nude cause I loved the one braid hairstyle, I dressed her in beautiful handmade gown . The rest of the holiday dolls including 1988 are for me all Ho Hum. ..boring ,though 1989 is an exception, I think they are running out of ideas. The 1998 black,silver gown I put on a nude Silkstone doll for display. It seems the Silkstone Dolls have the quality in material at a hefty price, I only have a few of these. One other thing. The Millennium doll in blue Velvet is beautiful, I separate her from the Holiday line, she stands at the 2000 mark alone... The thing i notice about the early 20s until 2005 is that the materials for the dress were great and the 80s are festive sadly the late 20s oversimplified the elegance that much. It irks me sometimes when people say the more minimalist you achive the more elegantly looking you will have which is debatable to me.

2. 2008 : Not only because she appears in Christmas Carol, but she is so stylisb and fancy! Snowflake embroidery and dangly earrings, and that silver skirt...... and also that graceful hair! Beautiful....
1. 2002 : Wow, I love that nice red velvet! Plus that elegant sparkles gives her enough fancy look! The bow also gives a nice touch. And that bag is a great finishing touch. This is my fave of all Holiday Barbie 💝💝

Anyone from 2000 until now!!! I find for example the first two not bad at all and the Bob Mackie traditional Russian`s vibe is regal and different. I totally agree with the plastic corsets from 2016 though the idea was great displayed into a "crystal ball" in three tones blue-silver, red-gold and green-white.

My first holiday Barbie was 2007 I was 7 . I had her displayed on a self in our living room . Until 2010 when my sister was born and she insisted on undressing all my holiday Barbies . I've lost some of them . I'll be 20 in a few days and am keeping them all in box in a closet until i can get a display shelf

The 1988 Happy Holidays Barbie briefly was going for over $1500 NRFB on eBay at one point. My mom and I had all the Happy Holidays Barbies.

The 2007 HB is the supreme. I don't know what year it was or if it was the holidays at all, but i remember seeing her as a little boy in the shelf and i was mesmerized. So much beauty, so many details. Truly stunning.

If you’re a designer you will understand the designs of Bob Mackie. 2006 Holiday Barbie is like a Russian inspired gown. 2009 Holiday Barbie is in shades of Pink because she’s celebrating her 50th anniversary they want to used the signature color for Barbie and the ribbon was champagne…gold, because 50th anniversary is Gold.

Favorite Holiday Barbie for me is ranked as follows :
1- 1996 I find it to be very Christmas -sey, Burgundy and Gold with muff, (think Hallmark card) I agree on the skirt not going all around, but I display her with velvet coat spread all down the back - cheap netting covered.
2- 2011 Love the Green and Gold, and the design...thankfully they departed from that "Cinderella" ball gown look
for a change, I got the African American gorgeous doll that year, burned out with the blondes.
3- 2008 Again bought this year's doll AA, fantastic hair design and the dress is stunning love the drop waist line and the skirt.
4- 1991 To me Green is great and this gown was elegant and simple.
5- 2019 At first I was put off by the "Barber Pole" look, then I thought of peppermint stick and changed my mind, once again she is AA, for me just beautiful in red, especially love the hair style pulled to one side opposite the red bow on the other side.
Your top favorites 1 and 2 are Tops with me too, 2002 Red blonde and 2004 Green AA are displayed side by side in my hutch.
The 2006 Mackie doll I bought nude cause I loved the one braid hairstyle, I dressed her in beautiful handmade gown .
The rest of the holiday dolls including 1988 are for me all Ho Hum. ..boring ,though 1989 is an exception, I think they are running out of ideas.
The 1998 black,silver gown I put on a nude Silkstone doll for display.
It seems the Silkstone Dolls have the quality in material at a hefty price, I only have a few of these.
One other thing. The Millennium doll in blue Velvet is beautiful, I separate her from the Holiday line, she stands at the 2000 mark alone...
Also, for 2001, the Holiday Treasures redhead doll is to die for...love her !

The thing i notice about the early 20s until 2005 is that the materials for the dress were great and the 80s are festive sadly the late 20s oversimplified the elegance that much. It irks me sometimes when people say the more minimalist you achive the more elegantly looking you will have which is debatable to me.

I actually fell in love with the 1991 Barbie! Also the 2006 Bob Mackie is inspired by Poland. That's why it looks so unique.
