Thanks for filming Ryan, an especially as United Express retire these birds this month. What reliable workhorses these Embraer Brasilia's have been, and I am truly gutted I won't ever be able to fly on one now!
I love turboprops! I wish that most mainline aircraft were turboprop! I really enjoy the sound that the props make over the whine of the jet engines. In high idle and taxiing, the props make your basic "box fan" sound. In takeoff, and inflight, the make what I call the "bumblebee" sound.
Nice one Ryan- much more interesting seeing vids by someone who's into the planes, not filming the flipping through the menu and wine list for ten minutes. Thanks! Regards, Herb
SkyWest airlines retired the EMB-120 turboprop last summer. Some of the former turboprop flights like BFL-SFO now fly with CRJs. During the past year, SkyWest added the Embraer E-175 jet with wing mounted engines. Those planes mostly went to United Express.
Great video! I never flew on a Brasilia, interesting that here in Brazil, only few operators operated them, but i still have a chance. This one goes to my favourites, thanks for sharing. Rgrds!
Ramp for the baggage and ramp for the passengers, when we used to operate this airplane back in Brazil it was used the airplane's stairs and the luggage was individually loaded by hand...
Back when the big 3 had turbo props also it looks strange seeing United continental on this plane sence you would expect to only see it in the tulip and battleship livery
I rode one of these once with my dad, and we flew to Great America, and during the flight, found out that these kinds of place Don't handle turbulance very well at all, so we actually hit some pretty good turbulence along the way, I made it through it withough have to use the famous bag that they have on board, so everything went well, until we made it to the gates at Great America where we had to pay for admission, think it was quite warm that day, and as we were getting close to the ticket booth, think that turbulence finially caught up with me, and would you believe I got sick all over another guy who was in front of us???? I still cannot believe that happened that day, and that is why if I ever fly again, I will Never fly on one of tese kinds of planes ever again.......................
+Andrew Silva The one thing that has to do with the airplane is the fact that it doesn't fly quite as high as jets (that fly higher than most turbulence), so you are riding in rougher air for a longer time. Other than that, It's all in your head and whether or not you had something to eat prior to flying. Being scared or tense is a surefire way to get sick. Also contrary to common sense, never ever fly on an empty stomach. Have a *light* snack about an hour before departure and you will be OK.
+corisco tupi That's why I always drink a half bottle of Jack Daniels before leaving long-term parking to the Terminal/Gate....good thing they don't do breath tests yet ! Always good to be on a plane boozed-up before boarding.....everything just floats...no worry.
+Lesley Birde "dodgy at best" ==> Sure. A major manufacturer would design and build, major countries's aviation authorities would certify and major world-class airlines would fly aircraft that are "dodgy at best".
Lesley Birde "Aviation disasters"? LOL that junk TV show that is a collection of errors? Now I get where you're coming from - your aviation expertise that qualifies you to assess the airworthiness of airliners is acquired in shitty TV shows. ROTFL
Thank you for this video. I've heard that these E-120s will be gone this year, so this footage is great. Love these planes, always have.
Thanks for watching! Yeah, on May 1st, SkyWest will transition to an all jet fleet.

Nice vid! The E-120 is one of my favorite turboprops.
Miss the Brasilia.

I personally like the CRJ200 more than the E120. The BFL-SFO route is about 30 minutes faster with the CRJs. I take it a lot
Wow stunning report! Would love to fly on a Brasilia!
I love the reflection of the Blue Tulip in 585's engine.

Great video mate! I love the 120s!
Awesome videos. That takeoff from San with the rain drop was kinda cool.
awesome video :) greetings from the Caribbean !!!!!
Thanks for the upload, love the Brasilias
This was my first experience on the Brasilia, but I've always had a soft spot for them. I like classics & noisy cabins, so this fits the bill :)
Happy New Year Ryan:) Excellent footage :) Right into my AVIATION playlist. Thank you :) ROCK ON!!!!!!!
Happy New Year, buddy! Thanks for staying a loyal subscriber into 2015!
Nice aircraft EMBRAER 120
Nice, man! Greetings from Canada! I can't believe United Express still has the tulip livery on one of their planes, still! Liked! :)
Great job making it all work! I enjoyed it!
glad LAX kept the old tower. a symbol of my childhood growing up in SoCal
Meu Avião Favorito. Brasilia. Congratulation.

Awesome recording, love those regional jets :)
Avião brasileiro forte
Awesome video!
Why didn't you show the inside of the EMB-120 in your video?

wow great video
Loved it!
Eu acho lindo essa aeronave Embraer 120 Brasília

I need some info, Can Embraer E120 still be used if I make an airline? And when the last produced for this pretty one? Thanks
*Where's the flight attendant?*
I've always loved the EMB-120, but haven't gotten to fly on one unfortunately... You never know what could happen though, right?
greatvid! What camera are you using?

why not drive the hour?
i was thinking the same thing. then it occurred to me that in all likelihood these are mostly connecting flights.

Yup and its proven too. Ever watched Aviation disasters?
