I love a pianist that's so good to not only play well, but well enough to catch up to and cover the mistakes of the performer. The singer had semi-serious rhythmic issues and the pianist covered them and played beautifully. 👌💙🎼🎶

Its a cover so I don't necessarily think of rhythmic l difference as an issue in any way. Some people prefer to perform songs in very slightly different rhythms to make their own take on a piece and I think that is okay.
Thank you for acknowledging that. The pianist is my son. Primarily he is an actor / singer / dancer. Accompaniment is side gig. I think that as a singer, he knows what the performer needs. He really listens and is a team player to make the performance the best that it can be for the person(s) singing.
