Just FYI - The reason you had an error with the colum/beam connection on the portal frame structure was because the column needs to be rotated 90degrees (column parallel with the beam). The column should always be parallel to the beam so that it works within it's strongest axis.

Literally no engineering firm models connections. That would mean the engineer would actually have to do their job and design connections instead of kicking the can down the road for the steel detailer to figure out.
2 years but this video is still relevant. If you are using Revit 2021, Structure and Steel Tab is hidden if you set your discipline into "Architecture" when opening up your Revit for the first time. You can show these tabs by going into File > Options > User Interface. Under "Tools and Analyses" check the tabs you want to show. Then hit OK.

Hey firstly great tutorial on show how Revit connection works, thank you for showing how it works before I head out and purchase it for myself. Secondly, as a structural engineer, it was really funny seeing you place unless connections beams and columns. Might be helpful to say that you should turn on the structural connections options in VG, or else you will not see any connections in 3D views.

Remove Beam System and add manually dragging new beams or use align command to move the beam...
