I made one change according to your video and now subwoofer work as should: SPK+HIGH -> SPK+NORM. I dont need EQ and DSP enabled to get clear bass. Thank you!
Great video! and for anyone that has some sort of technical knowledge , this would be truly informative! However, when your dealing with plebs like me………
Hi,good video, just a question regarding the blue remote wire from sub,I'm taking the live feed direct from the battery so can I do away with the blue cable? Thanks.
Hi I recently installed and amp but I’m running this sub directly from the factory head unit so to bypass the amp, this speaker has started to distort do you think Iv blown the sub?
Hi, it wasn't very clear how you wired the power connection. The instructions for the device imply I can get power from the fuse box, this is the only part of the install I'm a little confused by, as most other powered subs I've used previously just connected to the battery (in the trunk in most BMW models) - however in my Z3 it's less easy to run cables to the boot area than other cars. So I was thinking to get power from the fuse box under the bonnet and run the power cables through the firewall with the others.
Now after 1,5 years, my TS-WX130DA still shows blue light from control unit, but no more bass/sound. Not even a "startup-click" I checked power and control wire - they are all perfectly fine. Tried to push this "reset" switch and also held it pressed while powering up for some time - both with no effect. Unit just stopped working. Any idea??
Hi can I have some help I purchased one of these second hand because I couldn't afford new I wanted one because it looked easy to install when it turned up it had no instructions I have no problem wiring everything apart from it turned up with long speaker cables and no phono plugs they had been replaced with speaker wires so I haven't got a clue where the speaker wires go to the cars got 4 door speakers that's it any help would be appreciated .
Really helpfyul video thanks - my car stereo only has one wire for a subwoofer input which is actually in a connector block, so I was wondering how I would connect the pioneer subwoofer as that comes with the 2 RCA plugs - I’ve searched on the net and can’t find anything to help me - would be great if you could help advise how I could make the connection - thanks alot 👍
Hard to not feel happy and not to smile when you get notified that Cyclone Cyd has uploaded a new video to his channel! Great as always, man. What projectors would you put in your halogen(non-xenon) headlights?
Thanks Hampus, I'm happy to be providing value to people. Cars have been my life, it sems a shame to keep all that knowledge to myself. I haven't forgotten or missed your other question, I've been mulling it over. I'll answer it soon
Everywhere I look, people insist, USUALLY IN ALL-CAPS, you should allways run a seperate lead from your battery, with a fuse on the engine side of the firewall. You seem to be hooking it up from the fusebox inside. Is this not a hazard, since the power consumption is fairly low?
Thanks for your quick response. Since you seem quiet well informed on car audio, you probably know the unwritten 'rule' that a subwoofer needs a seperate power lead, directly from the battery, with a fuse within the first few inches? I was wondering why in this case this doesnt apply, or if you think this 'rule' is overkill anyways. Thanks!
Hello, i have a saab 9-3 with the same motor and as it turns out the same sound system, so your videos are very informative to me. I am however a bit confused with the diagram on the amp. Which letters correspond to the front door speakers i need to tap in? Thank you!
Any help plz? ... I just installed Pioneer TS-WX400DA under-seat subwoofer using speaker-level input. I took two wires from the front left speaker and two from the rear left, remote turn on the wire from the radio, and power from Battery. Working fine but the remote light wouldn't go off when I turned the radio off. The remote light turns off only when I remove the key from the ignition. I removed the remote turn-on wire still remote light remains on when the radio is off.
Really, good video, I will be giving this a try. I have the same amp in my car. Could you tell me which wires I need to tap into please? Bit of a novice with all of this.
Great video, your channel is very knowledgeable!! I recently bought a Suzuki Swift which came with a pioneer mvh-a200vbt head unit, do you have any idea how I find out the RCA level input for my system? For the medium or high input settings, I can’t find anything on google
Question: I have a hybrid Suzuki Swift, will this speaker negatively affect the lithium battery and therefore my safety features etc or does it just connects to the lead acid battery and doesn't affect the lithium one at all?
i mean depends on how you install it. it just needs power but at a max of 160 watts it should NOT effect the lifespan of the battery if that is the case, i think you should be fine but. but if you want to be on the safe side there er 2 options 1. get it powered by the lead acid as it's mostly used for the engine iit self. and 2. use a sepret battery for the sub alone, allthougt not recammend with a smaller sub like this since more power hungry subs pull lik 800 watts so this sitting at 160 max is really not that bad at all, also you are not gonna play at the 160 watts because that is max volume and for me atleast i only go to like 80% because the music just gets to loud at that point for me atleast
Hi from Australia I have been looking to buy this under seat Subwoofer for my 2006 saab 93 arc but the thing is I bypassed the optic as my amp under the seat is dead so I got rid of it so only my front and rear speakers work but no more door subs, so does it still work with my car without the amp as this subwoofer has to be self amplified?
@@CycloneCyd hi so I did install a kenwood ksc-psw8 than the pioneer under the drivers seat and even swapped out the stock dash speakers with a 3.5 inch hertz speakers. The audio improved way better by the down side is I had connected the subwoofer to rear speakers which are still stock. So iv got to change them now to mae even sound better.
Can anyone help, how to identify the positive and negative wire on the Pioneer connector ( going to cut the RCA plug supplied and tap into the speaker wires) Red connector has Grey and Grey/Black, The White connector Whit and Whit/black
Great video mr.Cyd ✌️ Are u upgrade the dash and door speakers too ? I try to find some info ,but....there is no one that can explane like you So if u have video like that....sorry ,will chek But if u dont ,can u make one ? ✌️☺️
On the contrary. One should never be soldering wire connection. Vibration in the car causes solder joints to come apart. Joints should always be mechanical.

Use the high level (speaker) inputs and connect to a pair of speaker wires wherever is most convenient
Hi do you need to connect the power cable to the cars battery?
any fused source of B+ capable of delivering 20A.
The yellow wire is quite small. Do I need to replace it with a larger one?
My amplifier is under the drivers seat and that’s to technical to attempt but I will keep watching.
It's really easy. If you can change a plug you can do this. Nice snug fit under the 9-3 sports seats. Great sound too. Review coming up.

Great video, t tap connectors will make a clean install instead of stripping and taping up to a standard iso quadlock
Yeah, they worked well. They're a great improvement on the old style scotch loks. The number of people you see just twisting the wires together, DOH❗

The power lead to the sub has it's own 10A fuse - seen at 9:38

Didn't I explain that in the video? Check the pin diagram and use either the front or the rear signal inputs to the amp.

The 130DA can accept speaker level inputs, selectable by switch. So it won't matter if there are no RCA level outputs
What a nice chap

Try connecting to the dash speakers. Yes it's self amplified. It sounds awesome under the seat BTW!!

Hey did you ever figure it out? I recently got my pioneer sub woofer and going through trying to figure out the same thing before I cut the RCA plug..
Is there going to be an update to video please x
By 'update', do you mean a review? Yes, soon. I've been trying different locations and settings first
Great tutorial!! Will be fitting mine this weekend, did you take your live feed from a permanent live or an ignition live?
A perm live. That way the sub will still come on with the radio if listening without ignition on
Is part 3 on the way cyd?
Soon. I've been trying different locations and settings.
can you connect 2 of these together.
Did you ever succeed I’m in the same boat

Have a look through my community tab. I'm sure I posted a picture of the Hertz setup in my 9-3. I'll double check and if I didn't, I will
