Apex Legends is one of my favorite games, so ever since one of my friends informed me that this cookbook exists, I was hoping I'd see you make something from it. As for how burgers fit into Bloodhound's character, the most I can figure is that they're a master hunter and their canonical romantic partner, Fuse, is from Salvo (basically Fuse is from the space version of Australia and New Zealand, and he's very stereotypically Australian), so they probably have a lot of cookouts together with whatever they hunt together. Burgers made from giant, bloodthirsty beasts are probably a common staple of their cookouts.
I gotta say, you've definitely come up as one of the youtubers I look forward to videos from the most. You've even gotten me into building up a collection of media/pop culture cookbooks. Ever since I saw your video on the FFXIV cookbook (a ame I am very much into) it's sparked a desire to look at and try out several more. I currently have 7 now. Keep up the fantastic content!
I like the culinary Ideas of those Burgers. But like manticore said in another comment here: Bigger burgers should be wider, not taller. How do you get a good bite out of these? Still delicious, but not practical at all unless you disassemble the bloodhound.
Kinda feels like apex burger is trying too hard, i feel like nobody's actually gonna make all 4 layers and the patties are practically more seasoning than meat. it's just very gimmicky. junkrat's burger is "loaded" as the name implies but it isn't unreasonable to put together. it's a bit out there but it feels like a recipe they actually expect you to make.
Because I have Potage le Magnifique from the Elder scrolls cookbook on my brain, (the soup you use in Skyrim to poison the emperor with) i want a soup battle 😅 A very simple, made with very few ingredients, yet filling soup were the gimmick is you add what YOU want to make it your soup. And I agree as someone with a small mouth, "big burgers should be wider, not taller".
Only thing thats missing from junkers burger is Australian tasty cheese instead of Amerian cheese/cheddar 😋 (Its basically an aged cheddar, tasty is aged for about 10-12months while extra tasty is aged for up to 24months)
You could definitely cook that bloodhound burger for less time and put the cheese on as it's cooking if you were to make it and not follow the instructions
Man i miss Overwatch, what a shame that they lied about their whole justification for 2, deleted the game we paid for and replaced it with a predatory "f2p" version, scum is too small a word. Anyway, hope the other one wins!

Easier for them to do, I guess, and it's harder to find large buns. You could make your own buns in-house though.
So the junker burger is actually a traditional Australian burger called "burger with a lot" so that's pretty clever.
