Hi there my name is Jo (Joanne) I am 70 years old from Southwest Ontario. Just happened to come across your video and Thank you so much. I use to paint oil landscapers about 40 years ago...even sold a few. But then life happened 😊. I am low income and pretty crippled up with arthritis but I can still move my arms and hands. Yesterday my son came home with two large canvases and a set of large tubes acrilic paints from a neighbour down the road with a free bin by the curb. Today I found your video. I don't believe in coincidence. Been feeling pretty low these days. I believe God DOES help us in mysterious ways. Thank you so very much for your full video showing how to use acrylic paints....love to you and yours. Jo
I'm so happy to hear that you are not letting your disabilities keep you from expressing yourself through art. I hope it brings you a lot of joy. Hugs.
I am a new viewer and also a new painter I have subscribed to 2 other painters. My name is Mark I am a disabled veteran and love painting it's so therapeutic and this painting is absolutely gorgeous , thank you for displaying your gift .
Thanks ever so much and enjoy my sand dude‘s picture I’m a retired our teacher 71 years old my birthday will be soon and I’m loving this thank you very much and enjoy the lesson you’re outstanding Instructor.

I am new to your painting. It was very informative. I love your husbands humour. I cracked up with laughter. Greetings from Australia keep up your great work.
It's the first time I have followed your video. Enjoyed it. I did everything with colour pencils instead of acrylics and the result is quite satisfactory. Thank you.
First time viewer. Thank you. Beautiful. During the pandemic i started acrylic pour painting without an abstract gene in my body.....lol....fun, but...lol Love knowing what i'm seeing! Thank you for sharing your wonderful talent!
This is a wonderful and amazing tutorial. I love the beach and have missed it so much for the past year (COVID!). This tutorial inspires me to paint the beach even tho we can't be there yet. You are the best! Thank you!
I followed your vide and instructions carefully . My painting turned out beautiful . Thank you ! I get a kick out of you and your husband's chit chat .
Wow this is so beautiful! I used to do acrylic painting over 20 years ago! I actually did something similar to this painting! I’d love to get into the beginner classes with you! I’m hoping I didn’t forget everything! Thank you so much for sharing this beautiful painting with us! Great tutorial!!!😊❤️👍🏼
Wow! I am SO thankful I found you. I am a total beginner and I love the ocean so that's all I want to paint. I've watched numerous other artists but love how easy you make this! It is simply stunning. You are amazing!! I actually am feeling really jealous and bummed out because I don't think I can ever be as good as you are. If I don't own all those paint colors can I make the colors? Would you be willing to make a video on mixing paints?? Love from Idaho.
I have a video on mixing paints. I would start with my beginner series. It goes over all the basics. I only make it look easy because I have been painting for a long time but you can for sure learn! It just takes time and practice. :)
I have a question about the scrub brush your using. Is that a bristle brush or is it like sponge on the end. Would appreciate you getting back to me. Started painting this year and enjoy watching you and your explaining how to do. Thank you and God Bless
Angela I really enjoy your tutorials and many of my paintings have came out very well. I did notice on this video, you didn’t always tell us what paints you are mixing. Could you please do that. Thank you
Could you tell me what that scrub brush is made of. Is it like bristles or like sponge like.. Love watching you paint. If you could let me know I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you

You obviously have no clue how little UA-cam pays. In the last 10 years of doing UA-cam videos 1-2 times a week (over 800 videos) I've make approx $150k from ad revenue on UA-cam. That works out to 15k per year for a full time job. Not exactly a living wage. I make about $1 per 1000 views. 🙄 And I only make money if UA-cam plays an ad so older videos make nothing. Do your homework if you are going to be spouting off nonsense! The only UA-cam artists making a decent living solely on UA-cam ad revenue are the ones getting 100k views or better on every video. The rest are doing it because they love it, like me. Patreon is the only way I have been able to make this business model sustainable.
@@thankfulart . Stop complaining, people would give there right arm to make the money you're making, 254,000 views just on this one video, I will send you a sympathy card! You do nice paintings
@@thankfulart . Try doing roofing for 10 to 12 hours a day in the blistering Sun and not even making half the money you're making, be very grateful you're in a comfortable setting and not sweating on a roof and coming home Dead tired and drained of all your energy!
I am enjoying your tips. Unfortunately I am having trouble translating my painting to small items. Trying to paint beach seascapes and lighthouses on large sand dollars. I know I need brushes for miniatures, but what else do you suggest. This sand dollars are very sentimental so i don't want to mess them up. I collected them as a child and I am 76 now.
Ok so I tried to paint with ya never having done it and just only EVER painted two pics in my life (one sunflower and one plain black tree)..... it was bit of challenge but I really enjoyed it and think next time I’ll try on a canvas instead of just a pad
Could I please ask if you would show the paintbrush you are using before you use it on the canvas. I am trying to learn all the brushes, paints and canvases and this would really be helpful. I truly enjoyed your tutorial I was very easy to follow and you explained everything well.
I to am learning the brushes and I find it hard to follow which one she is using. I just keep going back to the beginning after it is live and try to figure out which brushes to use AND if I have them. If not, I have trouble figuring out what to use. Wish I was as talented as Angela but that will never happen. Love her paintings so much.
Im wanting to start painting again and have some old tubes of acrylics. They are about 15-20 years old. How are they still good or should I just start over with new paint? Most my brushes are still good.
Thank you. Beautiful. Just a question please, I see this a lot and get confused as to why dark bits, like the shadows are always painted first rather than light bits first and then the dark?
With acrylics it is common to paint back to front. So often the deepest colors are beneath or behind other things. It gives depth to the painting. Watercolors have to work in reverse (light to dark, leaving the light areas). But since acrylics can cover over other colors well you don't have to do that with them and so it is just easier to paint the dark areas first then add highlights.
@@thankfulart Ah thank you. I've only done painting with watercolours before but I'm now getting ready to have a go at Acrylics and the dark to light is so good to know. Your videos are sooo helpful. So good of you to share tips and techniques. (oh and your hubby has such a soothing voice)
