He seems to live for misfit cars. He wanted it himself, and it was turned into something way better than it ever would have been. That's plenty for him to be happy about.
As a Yugoslavian, i remember when our country unveiled the Yugo ..... we were proud to creat an affordable vehicle to the global market.....glad to see gearheads appreciate its history

Tavarish Yugo was used many years in driving schools all around ex Yugoslavia that is the reason for many good drivers on the roads there. We love them as they were cheap and easy to work on. Some are still used for racing (we don’t have race track we race on mountain roads) Thank you for bringing back memories on my first car
Hearing that engine brings back childhood memories out of the 70s growing up in Germany. Fiats where everywhere and a lot of them got modified a bit too. The engines were pretty good, but you could see the cars rust in the sales brochure. 🤣🤣
It does make we wonder... DATSUN (The car in MSC is a DATSUN 100A) is secretly Nissan, whereas this car was Merely imported to the USA by Bricklin of Subaru/FIAT. So while there's no _formal_ link, I would guess that the Yugo borrowed the look from the 100A, if only because the 100A was fairly popular, and it came 10 years before the Yugo. Still, that's a damn strong look alike, especially when you consider how close to the 100A in MSC it looks at the end.

Yugos are rusted trough mostly today , even here where no snow falls and there is bearly any salt on the roads

back around 1982 i was working on the bodies of bricklins , fixing the cracks for a friend , he made a electrical air lift system for the doors . his name was tim begley . he moved to maryland and i lost touch with him when he moved . he also made some custom parts like kick plates and othe accessories . those cars are very safe and very impact resistant bumpers .

What i take from this video is something so positive that no matter what color you are what your background is we as people need to get along like this and without judgement.
Used to own a Fiat 128 4door 1.3L in the 90s and despite the bad things about it, I went everywhere with it, family trips, fishing expeditions, camping... Never broke down completely as it was easy to service (and repair) and gave me plenty of memories, more then any other vehicle I've owned since then. Had to write it off in the late 90s, due to emissions regulations.

Awesome. My dad had this one (actually the 5-door version and it was called Zastava) and it was technically my first car... and all you showed brought back full of memories from the shifter badly attached, the rear brakes looking new all the time ‘cause never worked, to the shot sway bar bushings. I fixed all these on it and when we sold it it was better than new. I dreamed of that car having more power and sounding so good, thanks for making that dream reality.

I am from ex Yugoslavia and I can tell you that worst car from 80s for rust was opels.. They start rusting badly after only few years
