Thought of sharing this small story: We offer food to crow (kakbhshundi) who, by blessings of his Guru & Shree Ram could travel in all thee 'lokas'. swarg, mart & Pataal. He is the ideal one who can carry our message & food to our pitrus to satisfy their souls.
Kakbhushundi was born as human & was an ardent devotee of Shree Ram. He was so immersed in chanting Ram naam, that his Guru got angry & cursed him to become a crow. Later, Shree Ram requested & Guru too has mellowed down but he himself preferred to remain a crow & spread Shree Ram katha.
