Hey Karen, I always enjoy your blogs. Wish you girls would do weekly. Your lashes turned out so great!! That fig pop is super pretty. I so agree the holidays are a tough and lonely time for so many. Not everyone has family and friends to be surrounded by. Many are alone. Sometimes a visit with a sweet homemade goodie is just what they need. Or take a cute ornament for their tree. Invite them out for coffee or lunch. Everyone one loves surprise mail so think of those miles away and send a little something to brighten their day. I always love when friends share their favorite finds that would be a fun gift, maybe your favorite hand cream, a new planner for 2019 and a fun pen. Hugs beautiful💕💕💕

Love your lashes, they look very pretty! I have to agree with you on the time spent doing lashes … trying my best to curl them, because I have stick straight lashes, then applying mascara, which a lot of the time takes the curl out .. UGH! LOL! Anyway, yours look so natural and pretty! The Fall finally arrived here in the southeast, but now they are calling for much cooler weather next week, so I'm afraid the leaves won't stick around for much longer. I've been on a Christmas decorations buying spree for the past few weeks, so I'm very excited about getting the decorating started … can't wait to watch your Vlogmas!! Have a great weekend!

Hi Karen and Lauren, it’s so true we sometimes get caught up in our own lives that we don’t look around to see that maybe there is someone who might just need some love during these holidays. I found out today about a lady that lives in my moms ALF that her family doesn’t come to see her, that hurt so much to know that. They don’t even bother to bring her anything that she may need like clothes or just themselves, that is just so sad. So my #livinginbliss would be to bring her some love and things she may need during this holiday and through out the years and to anyone whom may need it. Happy weekend to you all

This was an awesome vlog and so much diversified content I just loved this. Excited for your Vlogmas and it is going to be a busy time for you for sure. It will be fun however and I so enjoy watching your vlogs. You look so lovely each time you come to the screen. I think it is such a positive message to ladies out here that want to keep up with style and makeup etc. as we have more time for ourselves. As we become empty nesters we do have more time and now we can devote a bit more time to ourselves to keep ourselves young and you so help keep this issue alive and in such a lovely and beautiful way! I was planning on putting up ours trees this weekend because of work schedule and weekend schedule(busy with both sides of our family). Now I have an open schedule. My company was bought by another company and I was released from my job today. Not really a good time as my husband has been unemployed for almost a year now. Hopefully life will be better in the new year. 😂

Holidays are extremely hard for me, as I lost my husband a week before Christmas, 6 years ago. Some may think I should "be over it" by now, but he was my best friend, as well as my husband, and I'm not sure I will ever just get over it. I feel sometimes like half of me is missing because we spent everyday together one way or another, and I miss him so much! I can't listen to Christmas music without crying, and I really just want to hide away until after the new year starts. I'm so thankful for the memories I have of us, and of him and for a loving God that gets me through the empty days now. But as bad as it seems, I know there are others that are going through things that are so much harder, so I try to forget myself and make someone else's day a bit brighter, even if it's only a smile.

Hello Verla. I don’t know your situation, so lm going out on a limb with a suggestion. If it’s not something you want to do, disregard my comment. Do you think you could figure out a way to honor your husband and best friend (May he Rest In Peace) during this time of year that’s so hard for you. Maybe plan how you will celebrate his life and special meaning to you as the holidays come forward. Get up each day with a spirit of “today I get to make my memories about him stand out” kind of thing so that you start to look forward to the holidays again? Sorry if I presume too much😊

My bottom lashes have really thinned so I don't bother with them . But yes, the time it takes for me to put on mascara is ridiculous. I want to try that leaner creamer but I’m not a fan of powder creamer so does that creamer leave a oily look on top? That’s why I don’t use powder creamer.
