    Hah, tropical countries had it worse, it can even reach 120-122F depending how close you are to the equator.

      At least they get cooler seas or bodies of water to swim in, the ocean here feels like a bathtub

    Omg, give me a break. Its never 100 here, Ft. Myers, that is. In my 40 years here, I don't recall one single day that reached 100. Let's compare Illinois weather and index, shall we?
    With no breeze, wind or any other type of relief, I remember walking onto my back porch to see the thermometer at midnight to read 90 or better. It never cools off up there due to the soil. Florida goes to the 70's at night because it has SAND. Illinois has DIRT. It retains heat, sand, like in the desert, does not. So all this hot weather talk is BS, Illinois has a lot hotter summers than does Florida, anyday. And they have tremendous humidity to the point of it being hard to breathe. Lived it, live it. Florida rocks. Illinois sinks.
