Maybe you've seen the hints on my Instagram, or maybe it's the fact I've spent most of the last year in Japan. But yes, it's true. After nearly 20 visits to Japan over 9 years, this is the last time I'm visiting.

Been to Japan 6 times. My favorite place on earth. Such beauty. Nature, culture, crafts, history, traditions, tech and last but not least the people - beauty is everywhere. Would love to move to Japan.

Having watched your account grow, with your Japan videos skyrocketing and your love for the culture shining through in your content, this is huge. I found you because of a Japan Fuji video and have stuck by your account since. This was inevitable, and I’m very excited to follow your journey moving forward.

Hi Joe, I just wanted to let you know that you are the reason why I started doing streetphotography.
I've been living 12 years in Japan now but it's only during the pandemic that I discovered your videos and started to get truly fascinated by streetphotography and the moments you captured, your framing and tones you used. I bought my 70-200mm lens because I was so in love with many of your streetshots!
I wanted to start getting my own shots and you've been an example for me ever since.
We're 4 years later now and I am still doing streetphotography.
Thanks for your enthusiasm and sharing your adventures with us! It's been quite a journey to see where you have landed now! Congratulations Joe!

Channels which focus on gear just don't inspire me to shoot at all... But channels like yours which are entirely about the passion, soul and lifestyle of photography give me such a need to get out and shoot, take trips and push myself creatively. I thank you for that, and wish you enormous happiness in your new life! Super exciting and much deserved.

Cheers! I first got that train shot almost 6 years ago, completely by accident and it was my greatest train shot ever. I then went to recreate it last year in higher quality after studying the train timetables - took a few hours and multiple attempts back and forth, but eventually I got it 👊

Wow, Joe. I am so excited for you. I have been watching your videos for quite some time, both for photography and Japan inspiration. And since I visited Japan for the first time this November as part of my world trip, I totally understand why you made this decision. Japan is different, Japan is mysterious, Japan is wonderful... And the culture of Japan, with its ridiculous amount of respect and caring for others, resonates very well with my own values & believes - so I felt REALLY comfortable the whole time. I wish you all the best and a good start into your new chapter of life. And I will hopefully see you there when I visit it the next time. Cheers!
