For me, I noticed that the rage vial and giant gauntlet does wonders when combined! With active ability it will 2 shot an archer queen THROUGH A WALL, and will soak all the damage! It will also handle skeletons, and you don't have to worry about multi infernos or bombs (like if you did with the puppet).
Without using the rage vial, the gauntlet struggles. The gauntlet is a lot more useful than the puppet because of the splash. without the gauntlet, if the king's on a sui (it will usually be), it will run into ground skeletons which stalls the king a lot unless if you use an etitan or valk. In my testing, if the ability wasn't automatically used and instead used when the king was around 50% (when it SHOULD be used), rage vial + puppet just didn't perform as well as gauntlet + vial. equipment levels were roughly even, gauntlet 2 levels higher than the others (which is expected because its level cap is 27, not 18). skeleton traps + giant bombs destroy the king without gauntlet. I also tested the king with a hero dive (funnel, log launcher, warden with rage gem, king, headhunters, ice golem). with the barbarian puppet, i paired both abilities and it did fine. with the gauntlet, I used the king ability, and only after the gauntlet ran out, used the warden. Even in the test which MASSIVELY favors the barbarian puppet (barbarian puppet + warden's eternal tome was really strong, while gauntlet has no synergy with tome), the gauntlet was on par if not better than the barbarian puppet. Gauntlet kills headhunters and archer-fill clan castles really well. its DR would likely help with super minions, however I haven't tested it, I did not test the vamp stache or earthquake boots, as I haven't put much resources into them, and it would be unfair. In a sui, gauntlet is a no-brainer over barbarian puppet. The king is supposed to tank for the queen and (sometimes) royal champion. Damage reduction, especially of such significant amount is going to be massively important. Its splash negates ground skellies, which could save you an e-titan. And no, the splash isn't only applicable to poorly designed bases. Gauntlet destroys tesla farms, and allows the king to attack buildings over walls. I can't understand why you would reference ChatGPT... Earthquake boots really only makes sense if the king goes in alongside a ground smash attack to save a jump Currently, almost all pros are running and choosing to level the gauntlet over most other equipment. There's probably a reason why. That's my analysis as a free-to-play player.
This is great feedback! I would only counter that due to 27 levels it will take awhile for the benefits you list to outweigh the power of the rage vial and the benefits of the Vampstache. Totally agree. To add, using barbarian puppets requires upgrading the barb troop as well. Weeks of upgrade just for a stray mortar bullet, wiz tower, th weapon etc, to instantly delete the skill, no thanks I'll gladly take the "subpar/weaker" gauntlet any day that I can upgrade to level 27 someday

Giant gauntlet is best in general. Trample damages test activated ability automatically when it is best used around half hp to maximise damage reduction for the duration. Max it first for sure. If you look at stat increases on a graph vampstache is good to max whereas rage vial has good value prior to max level.
I think this is a good observation and definitely think at max there can be a case made that the gauntlet is better than the other pieces of equipment in some situations including splash damage taking care of skellies during a sui, but at 27 levels not only will it take a super long time to max (I’ve seen more than 9 months potentially) but also you will be ignoring other pieces of equipment with other heroes while focusing on the gauntlet when it’s only better in some cases. Most players won’t remember or plan to hit their ability half way through and it will essentially go to waste. For pros yes I can definitely see lots of instances where they will use the gauntlet efficiently. The point of this video was to say that if a player missed getting the gauntlet from the Cookie Rumble event to not worry because imo it’s dubious which piece of equipment is better and it’s not worth throwing a ton of gems and ore into the gauntlet when the rage vial and Vampstache are much better overall for more of a variety of situations imo :-) Great feedback and thx for the input!

Giant gauntlet isn’t a bad choice necessarily. But it’s not close to the rage vial until It’s at least max and with 27 levels it’s gonna take a while to get there.
the vid example is not a good way of explaining it tho. The ability was used when the king had no health. That isnt efficient for gauntlet. To get the full benefit of the gauntlet you need to use it about when the heal received from the ability heals up the king to as close as possible to max health, without "wasting" health by overfilling the hp bar. This ensures that the king will be "tanky" for the full duration of the ability, or at least the most possible time.
You are correct but also how often will we use each piece of equipment at maximum efficiency. 95+% of the time players let their heroes go to auto ability which means this test is fairly accurate for a majority of players and how they play. The gauntlet is definitely good in some situations but if a player didn’t get it in the Cookie Rumble then the other abilities can do an equally good job just based on the numbers.
😂 The Giant Gauntlet is good, don’t get me wrong but you don’t need it to three star. It gives you a slight advantage in smash attacks and hero dives…thats it. If you’re doing attacks where the king is funneling most of the time then the Vampstache and Rage Vial are very obvious better choices if you have them leveled up equal to the gauntlet.
Moral: Old is Gold. I am always with Rage Vial + Barbarian Puppet (= Iron Fist) with King and for Queen, I use her default equipment set (Royal Cloak). So far, the old abilities have worked perfectly for me, while I am mulling over keeping the gear spawning Healer for Queen
Yeah the hero equipment is VERY balanced between abilities. I’ve found that if you think a certain piece works best for you then there’s no definitive argument saying you should use something else.

I came back to gane just when ut would've been too late to get the gauntlet about 3 weeks ago. I thought it was shitty that you'd have to spend like 1.5k gems for an equipment that you couldnt get any other way if you missed the event. That's the definition of pay to win.

If you are in the core then yes the gauntlet has its advantages as you’ve said. But I don’t need the gauntlet in order to three star and it’s the same with any skilled player so someone doesn’t “need” the giant gauntlet and can do well with the other pieces.
Actually not at all. That was the answer it gave. I have no reason to be biased as I actually use the gauntlet on my th16. It’s totally situation dependent as all the pieces are very well balanced and very similar.
Bro the equipment comparison in the 4 minute is the worst way to use an ability why would he use the giant gauntlet ability when the king is dying 😂 And plus I think the giant gauntlet can give more tanking capabilities, which increases versatility of the king even further than the rage vial.

The tanking and splash damage is unique to the gauntlet and does make it more valuable in certain situations. You’re 100% correct. But it’s not the end all be all and players will be just fine maxing out other pieces of equipment.

I’ve been telling anyone who is completely set on how effective one certain piece of equipment is for their king whether that be the gauntlet or puppet or whatever that since it’s working for them then that’s awesome and keep using it. If the gauntlet is so-so for a player then not upgrading it is just fine 🙂 Focus instead on the other pieces of equipment and you’ll be just as successful in your attacks.

The splash damage capability can take care of skelly traps which can be helpful. Unfortunately it was only available during the Cookie Rumble event although I’m pretty sure it will be available for gems down the road. The reason I made this vid was bcs I didn’t want other players to worry about not having it. Yes the splash damage it offers is good for some attacks but the other abilities are honestly just as good if not better for certain attacks.
This video was made when the giant gauntlet was only available through the event and supercell had not clarified whether or not they would be releasing the gauntlet for the rest of the player base. I wanted to show how other pieces of equipment can do just as good of a job and if a player missed the gauntlet then they didn’t need it to still 3 star. If you are in the core then yes the gauntlet has its advantages as you’ve said. But I don’t need the gauntlet in order to three star and it’s the same with any skilled player so someone doesn’t “need” the giant gauntlet and can do well with the other pieces.

Unfortunately it’s not available anywhere. I have no doubt that supercell will make it available down the road sometime either for gems or medals.

Actually not at all. That was the answer it gave. I have no reason to be biased as I actually use the gauntlet on my th16. It’s totally situation dependent as all the pieces are very well balanced and very similar.
Bro the equipment comparison in the 4 minute is the worst way to use an ability why would he use the giant gauntlet ability when the king is dying 😂
And plus I think the giant gauntlet can give more tanking capabilities, which increases versatility of the king even further than the rage vial.
Because the majority of players let their heroes go to auto-ability so this is a fair comparison to a real world attacking scenario.
The tanking and splash damage is unique to the gauntlet and does make it more valuable in certain situations. You’re 100% correct. But it’s not the end all be all and players will be just fine maxing out other pieces of equipment.

I’ve been telling anyone who is completely set on how effective one certain piece of equipment is for their king whether that be the gauntlet or puppet or whatever that since it’s working for them then that’s awesome and keep using it. If the gauntlet is so-so for a player then not upgrading it is just fine 🙂 Focus instead on the other pieces of equipment and you’ll be just as successful in your attacks.

@@sameerkarkal2112 lol maybe but the gauntlet does have a use I didn’t mention in the video and overlooked which is when a player does a sui entry into a base. The splash damage capability can take care of skelly traps which can be helpful. But also that’s giving up power or durability so if there’s no skelly traps then would’ve been better to not go with the gauntlet anyways.

Unfortunately it was only available during the Cookie Rumble event although I’m pretty sure it will be available for gems down the road.
The reason I made this vid was bcs I didn’t want other players to worry about not having it. Yes the splash damage it offers is good for some attacks but the other abilities are honestly just as good if not better for certain attacks.
Its the best item cause you can cleave the building, very worst advice newbie 😂😂😂😂
This video was made when the giant gauntlet was only available through the event and supercell had not clarified whether or not they would be releasing the gauntlet for the rest of the player base. I wanted to show how other pieces of equipment can do just as good of a job and if a player missed the gauntlet then they didn’t need it to still 3 star. With the current bug it is the best combo. Without the bug it’s pretty equal.
Almost all pro players use it. They must be delusional.

lol I did upgrade the gauntlet to level 10 before I realized the rage vial and the Vampstache are actually a better option imo. Run whatever works for you! The gauntlet isn’t a horrible choice. It’s just not “better” than an of the others and therefore not worth buying if you didn’t get it in the event.
