You're seeing footage of a game that's filmed off a tv. Not to mention all the compression that the full video went through
Look how good this looks, I am stoked for this new console. Cannot wait to see samus in HD if you know what I mean.
-It gives a whole new screen to add new feature and creates a new kind of gameplay.
-Also, they do have a regular controller. It's called the Wii U controller Pro.

This is truly the most definitive Batman: Arkham City to step foot upon Nintendo's newest console. Two thumbs up to WB Games and WB Games Montreal.
This is a must have for the wii u, even though it's a port of the Xbox and wii version, with the touch screen feature I think it will give you more of the feeling that you are batman
Could be tempting if it's all the DLC plus a decent graphical upgrade.
BIG fan of arkham asylum and arkham city on PC, and now I'm going to buy a WiiU just for this at launch
It's developed mostly by WB Games Montreal and co-developed by Rocksteady Studios.
If developers actually make games for the WiiU we could see the end of pausing and having to rummage through clunky menu systems to equip items or look up objectives. I have been holding out on batman: AA because i knew it would be a more complete experience on the WiiU and after seeing this im glad i did! Good job Nintendo!
So much of this Batman game's combat reminds me of GBA Advance Guardian Heroes. Now the Anger meter fills, er I mean the BAT meter, and you can fight faster and harder like in AGH. Nice that some developers get it, and copy off TREASURE as all good game developers should.
This is more powerful by far and has improved graphics. Batman's armour is different in this one and is less worn and made of metal, so its understandable to think the graphics are worse. You must have had one awesome PS2.

There's the option of the Controller Pro for people who doesn't want to use the Wiimote and Wii U Pad.

I guess im the only person who haven't played Arkham City yet. Good for me, now i can play it on the Wii U when its out.:P
UE4 is scalable right down to mobile phones, so it will support it, just as almost any other console out now or coming out
The game + all dlc still costs about £40 ($60) on steam
It seems like when the WiiU was announced people think that the new gen consoles will come out, when in reality there is NOTHING was spoken of
Hold the controller slightly higher than you would a 360 controller, (a recliner helps) and it should be little different than a DS. Just look down, you wont have to move your whole head.

A year old game for what I assume will likely be 4x the price of what you can get it for on PC, PS3 and 360 now. Nice.
It's good to see the Wii are finnal going to be seeing some top class games! I stil prefer the xbox though, just because of the mechaniques and controls but this still looks good

The game is very good. I'd recommend it, although if you're planning on getting it for the Wii-U, just get it for the Wii-U. It'll be more convenient.

The world is larger or the onscreen map?
Take a look at the graphics that were produced for launch line up of PS3 and 360, nowhere near what they are now. It takes time to get the maximum from hardware so what you see now if just the start, the graphics will get better and better

This is probably the only "port" game that will take the WiiU seriously, everything is designed for the WiiU gamepad smartly !! ,,it reminds me of a great game from the Wii days called RE:4 Wii edition.

I can barely play Batman Arkham city on the xbox. Now i have two screens to worry about.
Are you kidding me? It's basicaly impossible for Nintendo to put out a new Zelda on Wiii U for launch. Skyward Sword just came out almost a year ago, there's no way they could have another one ready for now. Besides, Arkham City is an amazing game, you should be happy it's even on the Wii U.
If it's any conselation, you can expect a Zelda 3DS for next year, if not this Summer or Winter.

never use ign as a source, the U can run most games at the same rate as most gaming pc's on the highest setting, on both rez and frames per second.

From the specs that have been confirmed, the Power7 proves that the Wii U HAS to be at least 50% more powerful than the 360 and PS3.
The lowest end Power7 is still 50% more powerful than the PS3's CPU, which is the most powerful of the current-gen consoles.
I'd assume Nintendo would use at least the mid-end Power7, and not the least powerful.

Yes, the Wii U is more powerful than current-gen consoles. It's not even possible for it not to be. It uses a Power7. There are no Power7s manufactured that are on par or less powerful than current-gen consoles' CPUs.

Anyway, it hasn't. Nintendo hasn't confirmed anything and there only are rumors. The only confirmed things aren't important, in other words, no RAM, Video Memory or anything else confirmed.
Pure specification; nothing has been officially confirmed so far in regards to WII U's spec. So far, Nintendo has not demonstrated anything that can't be reproduced on the current gen consoles...
So, those developers who said: "it's 1.5 times better than the current generation" They are lying about this console? :o

I'm a Nintendo guy, but PS3 has Uncharted, Infamous, and Last of Us. We'll never be getting THOSE.

Erm, there has been no official confirmation of the wii u's specs, from Nintendo or any other reputable developer; the purported specs you are quotING are merely speculation. The graphics that have been shown so far indicated nothing that can't be reproduce on PS3/XBOX 360...
