I've been here since the beginning - At 14 you were the reason I got into photography, specifically landscape photography. Glad to say I'm still at it, and still waiting for all your uploads
Tom this was great. I don’t remember which of your early videos was the first one I saw, but I do remember that it was the video that introduced me to UA-cam and I’ve followed you ever since, including into the 617 Club! Keep up the good work and keep on inspiring!
Same here! I found his channel in 2015. made a huge difference in my photograpy life eventhough I do it as a hobby. one of my photographs was selected as the best in a week of a photography group in Sri Lanka. You were a huge inspiration to me. But with the busy life, I was unable to continue my photograpy. So sold my 5D mk 3 and now taking few photos here and there with my 15 pro. Please keep doing your great works. You are a great role model. ❤❤
Ten years ago when I was 72 I was still going strong and chasing birds in the wildlife management areas, making lots of prints for sale, traveling to different areas to camp. Now, ten years and three strokes and a bad fall later I've slowed down... a lot. It's kind of disappointing not being able to get out and walk around The Pond for wildlife photographs or drive to some of my favorite wildlife places and inns and restaurants. But realizing I'm lucky to even be here and have my loving wife of 63 years still with me after her two bouts with cancer, I'm happy to make the most of what I can still do. And my pictures are still winning awards occasionally in the local galleries. Life is good and I'm thankful. I don't think I've been with you from the beginning but I don't think I've missed one of your videos since I discovered your channel several years ago.
I'm really sorry to hear about you and your wife, but on the same hand, your message is uplifting. It's always important to practice gratitude and appreciation what you do have. Thanks a lot for commenting.
I rarely comment on videos, but 8 years ago I was in a very dark place when I discovered your channel. I ended up watching every single upload you had back then in the span of a week & I started to go on more walks & photograph things to distract my mind. After all these years, I’m still watching & I’m in a much better place now. Your channel definitely had a part in that which is something I’ll always be grateful for. Thank you.
You were the first photography channel I found here. Way before I even got into photography proper. Been watching since around 2017. One of the best in the game. Here’s to another 10.
Yes Tom, I can honestly say I was there. I was 70 then and came across your channel by chance and I’m still watching you today. You are by far the most interesting and enthusiastic photographer for me. I remember seeing you in person at Gary Gough’s studio when he invited you to give a talk some years ago now. Keep presenting as you do and I wish you continued success in your chosen profession and I hope to god I will still be supporting you in another 10 years. My best regards…Richard Farrar.
Haven’t been here from the start, but have watched your videos every Wednesday for the past 5 years when I got my first camera. A friend send me your channel saying he thought I would appreciate your outlook on photography, and the way we experience and portray the journey of making photos. Truly was the best recommendation I’ve ever gotten. Feels like you’ve become an old friend and mentor over these years, and I thank you for all the work you put in for all of us.
I may not have been here from the very beginning, but I've been here for five years, ever since I got my first camera and started my journey in photography. I can say that you’ve been a significant influence on the style of photography I ended up loving, and you continue to be a source of motivation and inspiration for me. Keep creating, inspiring us, and, as you always say, enjoying the journey and the process.
So fun to watch! I hope you are still doing this in 10 years and at 75 now, I hope I’m still here watching you! I enjoy your work each and every week! Thanks for taking me along!
Well, I wasn’t here from the beginning. In fact, I didn’t give UA-cam a second thought until maybe 2 years ago, but then I somehow stumbled onto one of Nigel’s videos, and then one of yours, and I was amazed at the quality and degree to which I became engaged. And now I always look forward to Wednesdays to see what new treat you’ve uploaded for us. So cheers and thanks and congrats on ten years of success and enjoying the good life.
Bring on the next 10 years and thank you for sharing your adventures with us your channel is probably the only channel that I have watched since 2015 that I still watch today so thank you
10 more years you never know where it will take you, I’m based in New Zealand and have been firing off my cameras since I was 17 now I’m 43 and love it just as much as I did back then now body aches and tiredness is more apparent now 🤣 but you do it because you love it
I have been here since the beginning… I was in highschool and new I loved nature but didn’t realize the beauty until seeing your first video I’ve seen everyone since and my landscape photography is undoubtedly better for it. I’ve had my own bit of success but truly just love being in nature and in the world with my camera! It’s all because of you! Thank you
I'm not quite an OG, but I think I found your channel about 9 years ago. But yours is one of the few channels I'm still watching and enjoying after all these years. Congratulations on your success.
When I found you a few years ago, it took one viewing and I stayed. Congratulations on ten years of fun, travel, and learning -- for us! Keep on truckin'. We're there with you, all the way.
I watched this video as the plane was wheels up. I was leaving Patagonia. I've spent the last two weeks wearing my camera bag and my hiking boots. You are a huge part of my inspiration. Thank you for 10 great years, looking forward to the next 10.
I can't remember that I watched the first video of you, but I think I started following your channel from 2015. The last few years, I didn't watch so many videos of you, but that has nothing to do with the quality of your videos. I'm glad that you're still here making this wonderful content, and I wish many years more of the "same" content on this channel.
I can’t honestly say I’ve been here since day one, but It wasn’t long after I rediscovered photography and found this channel. I quickly went back and binged previous videos so I have seen a them all. Since that time this channel has been the one constant, the one channel I have watched religiously for nearly a decade. I can’t say that about any other content I consume. You’ve made all the ups and downs, all the craziness, all the self-doubt all the joy and discovery of photography relatable for all. I’ve learned so much and from the bottom of my heart, I thank you!
I've also been watching you from the start and loved the entire journey so far. It's funny to say without us you may not be doing it as a job, because without you there wouldn't 1000's more inspired people out there picking up a camera and discovering their new hobby. Thank you.
Congratulations! After 10 years you're still at it, that is a real accomplishment. Finding the energy, creativity, and all the rest it takes to be relevant for 10 years is something to be proud of. I wish 10 more years of success for you. Thanks for your efforts and the positive influence you have been on many photographers in their journey.
This channel is one I have always watched, from the first video 10 years ago. Being autistic I take comfort from looking forward to a new video each week. Photography is also my passion - there are so many benefits from having a creative outlet, exercise from hiking, and positive for mental health. Keep up the awesome work 😎
I haven't been watching since your first episode, but came across your channel a few years later. The first episode I saw was you talking about not needing a wide-angle lens for landscapes. It struck me because you seemed different than the majority of other channels who were/are reviewing gear and trying to get you to buy stuff. You actually have something to offer. Thank you for keeping at it all these years.
I only discovered your channel last year when I got into UA-cam and, I must say, you are my favourite rambling photographer (by rambling I mean travelling). You have amused and informed me and increased my desire to get out and take photos. Here's to the next ten years!
I came across your channel about 7 years ago. I was so impressed and inspired I went back to the beginning and binge watched all of them 😊 Still one of my favourite UA-camr
I bought my first DSLR camera thanks to finding you on UA-cam and being influenced by your insatiable enthusiasm. Landscape photography has remained a passion ever since! Thanks Thom!
I'm an original listener, and I'm pretty sure I've watched every one of your videos since that first one. But more importantly, it was watching your videos that inspired me to start my own UA-cam channel which in turn transformed my landscape photography. So thank you. And keep up the good work.
I`ve been watching your videos since the first one. Back then I had very difficult times and you help me live through it, to find my passion in landscape photography. One of the kindest person on youtube, thank you Thomas so much!
The fact these videos are already 10 years old doesn’t feel real to me. I remember stumbling across your channel one night while looking for new UA-cam photography content that weren’t just gear reviews. You’ve been a huge inspiration and source of motivation for me and my photography, Tom. Congrats on 10 years of making UA-cam videos. I’ll be around for the next 10 as well!
Just posted my first video and all i can think is how awkward some of it was, but i chalked it up as just being new at something. This video gives me so much encouragement, as watching you day in and day out for who knows how long, I only ever remembered how great of a story teller you are. Thank you for making this!
10 years later and you still inspire me, and I didn't "pay" in the proper sense for any of this inspiration. Yet here I am, having consumed, frankly, dozens of hours of content from an artist honing his craft. I can only thank you, sir. All the best to you and here's to many more.
I’ve been here since the beginning too. I was fifty eight and began to do landscape photography thanks to you, with a Canon 5D mark III, I still have and still take photos with it as I can’t afford to upgrade it. But as you said it isn’t a problem I still enjoy the process. I think I never commented a lot but this anniversary was the best opportunity to really thank you from the bottom of my heart. Your wonderful videos have been my motivation from the beginning and still are, so Thank you so much.
I joke with my wife that if/when we move back to the UK, I'm going to go hang out with my buddy Tom Heaton and do a lot of photography. Been following you for a long time and really enjoy you. Not just your photography and your videos, but you. Your outlook, your philosophies, your personality, your rambling. You're a cool dude who loves photography and we're all here for it.
Hi Thomas. I have been watching for 8 years now. I would like to thank you for being an incredible inspiration to me on my photography journey. Cheers and here is to another 10 years of creativity. Neil
I've been here for about 9 years, and I'm pretty sure I've seen all your videos. I can say that you're the reason I dedicated myself to landscape photography and whenever I feel uninspired or unmotivated about photography, your videos never fail to inspire and motivate me! Thank you for the 10 years and bring on another 10!
Congrats Thomas. Your out takes from 10 years ago almost had me in tears of laughter. Thank you for the years of sharing your passion and experience. Cheers.
Been here since the start, and have never missed an upload. Always believed in you Tom and loved your style. Change nothing. Pure inspiration - always. UA-cam wouldn’t be the same without you.
Thomas, I only found you maybe 4 years ago, but I always look forward with great anticipation to your posts. You have no idea how you inspire so many of us when we are down, depressed, or desperate to grab our camera, get off the couch, and “just f8 and be there”. Keep on keeping on, and please keep posting another 10 years to inspire all of us!
I'm pretty sure that my wife and I have been watching you from the start. We may not have seen this one on the day it came out but we certainly had seen it, possibly a couple of times before today. There were very few landscape photography channels back then but oh my, how things have changed. Hope to see many more videos from you, especially ones like this where you are closer to home and working with what nature has given you. To me, it's more relatable than the travel ones.
I have been watching your videos for probably 4-5 years. You have unique ability to make photography approachable by taking us through your journey including your failures and tough times! Keep going strong and having fun. I totally agree with your philosophy that photography is not the best all and end all even though it can be a great thing by itself. I feel it is a tool and a window to explore this world and feel more alive and joy in this world.
I watched your video ten years ago and had such an impact on me to visit the Lake District. A couple of weeks later I set off to go to the same location but an hour into my journey from Glasgow I realised I had forgotten to pack my walking boots. Nothing else for it but to turn around and go back home. I have been back a few times to the Lake District and it all started with your video ten years ago.
Been with you since 2018. That's when we first started streaming youtube. My husband was checking out various photographer channels and called out: "Here's one I'll think you'll like. He's a talented, low-key, unassuming young guy. English." My husband, also English, knows I have zero tolerance for channels with lots of in your face loud talking and gimmicky presentations and over-the-top music. We watched together and haven't stopped watching since. We do miss you saying "absolutely stunning." It was funny to see you leave because other people were approaching. That's endearing and I totally get that. What keeps us watching? Your cinematography is often outstanding, many of your photographs sublime and your story-telling is so human. Compelling. We are grateful to you for the quiet joy and together time we share watching your channel.
Ten years ago I decided that I'd be taking early retirement in 2015 and wanted to set myself goals for my new life. I'd been a keen photographer in my thirties, but life had gotten in the way. I decided I'd take up photography again, along with getting back out in the country hiking. As you do, I started googling "Landscape Photography" and up popped a link to UA-cam and a newly released first video by this young feller called Thomas Heaton. So there's me, a sixty-one year old newbie and then there's this twenty-something fresh-faced lad with an iPhone and a decent camera. I've never missed a vlog since. I've listened to you at photography shows in Liverpool and at Rheghed, bought your calendars and been with you on every step of your incredible journey. Here's to the next ten years and more. You're still my inspiration mate. Keep it up and keep shooting. Thanks to you, I know I will.
I've been here for at least the past 8 or so years, and you were a massive inspiration when it came to starting my (non photography!) channels. Your vibe, presentation skills and overall honesty are as inspiring as your excellent photography and outdoorsiness. I should really be saying that I'm just here for the Delica, but that'd be mean… please keep going for another 10 years!
Hi Thomas - an OG here. Well... I'm not certain this was the first video I saw, but I have been with the channel pretty much since the beginning :) I think the first one I watched was the one where you camped overnight on the mountain and awoke to a cloud inversion. You certainly inspired me to get out more - I was shooting a lot of time lapse in those days. I don't shoot much now as my other interests (music and writing) have taken over somewhat... but I still enjoy your videos and have bought your books. Never change the format, it's your unique strength. Here's to another ten years!
I discovered your channel several years ago. You have always been an inspiration to me as a photographer as well as someone just trying to survive as a human being in this crazy world of ours. Thank you.
I found your channel about a year after you started it. I remember going through your previous videos and watching this one back then. My father had just passed away, and I was looking to throw myself back into photography to distract myself and get back to doing things I enjoyed. Your videos helped inspire me to get back out there, and they still do. Cheers Thomas.
I'm not sure when I found your channel, but it was very early on, and I went back and watched everything you had posted. To this day I have not missed very many. I've had to let many other channels go as the years have gone by, but I still look forward to another Thomas Heaton video every time! Thanks for all you do!
Wasn't here in 2014 but started watching in 2017, and boy I am glad I did. Your content is still genuine, rich, interesting and pleasing. I guess, that is why I keep watching it. You are a great storyteller, these 10 years are the proof of it. And I went back and watched it all, just for fun. Cheers, and bravo for this achievement.
I too was there at the start of your journey. I had just moved to the US and was feeling home sick. I watched that first video and it planted a seed - 'I need to be back in the north' I thought. 10 years later I now live in the Lakes with my young family and continue to enjoy capturing the landscape around me. I have enjoyed all of your content and appreciate all the effort you put in to make every video as good as it can be. An admirable work ethic and a compelling journey. Best of luck and thank you.
I wasn't there 10 years ago, but I think yours was the first photography channel I followed. Congratulations on the anniversary, fun to see baby Thomas Heaton.
Hi Thomas. I’ve just read a lot of the comments to this video and it is really clear that as well as your UA-cam channel giving you so much over the last 10 years it has helped and inspired so many people in so many ways. For some you’ve ‘just’ been an inspiration but for many others you have helped them with their own lives to an extent we can only guess at. Keep up the great work, you are doing something very special. I wasn’t there at the beginning 10 years ago but I’ve not missed one of your videos for years and I’ve been back over most of your work since the beginning. Thank you. John Clark
Congrats, Tom. I'm one of your OG viewers - I remember I started taking landscape photography more seriously (with my old nikon DX) and your channel was one that stood out to me most. I've been following and personally learning ever since. I appreciate your authenticity over the years and wish you continued success in to the future.
I have been subscribed to your channel since 2016. Recently, I lost my job and fell into depression, unsure of what to do. It was a very difficult time for me. During that period, I started watching your videos from the beginning again, and I realised something-I want to be like you. Now, I’m a first-year UA-camr, showcasing the beauty of Korea’s nature to the world in the medium of photography. This would not have been possible without you, your channel, and your dedication. You always inspire us. Thank you so much for that. :) cheers from Korea.
Watched your OG video 10 years ago and was so grateful someone created a photography channel dedicated to UK landscapes, still randomly search your name every month for updates 😂 great work Tom and thank you!
I have not been following you from the first vlog but already 9 years and i still love your content, your complaining and humor. It feels natuaral and ut inspires me. Thank you.
Been here since the beginning and still look forward to your escapades - let’s face it, mostly they are lol. It’s great to travel with you around the world and see things we wouldn’t normally. Keep the videos coming Tom and keep putting a smile on people’s faces. Your channel IS much more than the photography and that’s what makes it stand out above the rest.
I've been watching your channel almost from the beginning. Only missed a few videos at the start. At the time, I was doing all kinds of nature photography (Wildlife, macro, landscape, ......) and your channel gave me the motivation to get outside and explore more. It was you and another Dutch landscape photographer, Michel Lucas, who made me make the decision to only shoot landscapes and try to make myself better at it. Now I also teach landscape photography and it is my second profession. Thank you again for your motivation and inspiration for all the years and hopefully many more to come!!!
I can't claim to be an OG viewer, but I've been watching since about 2018. After the first video I watched, I started to watch them in chronological order. I'm no landscape photographer, but come lockdown, channels like yours inspired me to share my photography on this platform, even if it's just for fun.
Actually found this a bit emotional. I started watching your channel a long time ago, must have been about 10 years ago when I was going through some really rough times. It gave me some peace and allowed me to see a bit of the wider world. Thank you.
I started my photography journey in 2009. I remember coming across your UA-cam around the time you kick started it and I’ve followed ever since. You have grown in many ways mate. Here’s to the next 10 years 🍻
I started watching your videos in early 2017. You were the first photography channel I ever followed, or rather, my first and favorite landscape photographer. I can honestly say that if it weren’t for you, I wouldn’t have such a deep passion for landscape photography today in 2024. For at least the past seven years, watching your videos every week has been an important and much-anticipated part of my life. I would watch your videos while having dinner after work, and then spend my weekends doing some landscape photography of my own. To be honest, my English isn’t very good, but watching you travel through the world’s breathtaking sceneries has made me feel as if I’ve been experiencing them alongside you for the past seven years. From 2022 to early 2024 was the darkest period in my journey as a landscape photographer. For various reasons, I even thought about giving up photography entirely. But when I reopened your videos and walked with you through the beautiful Lake District or chased snow leopards in Mongolia’s icy wilderness, it was your videos that pulled me out of the darkness and inspired me to make the bold decision to start my own UA-cam channel. I have to say, this video deeply moved me. Although I wasn’t one of the viewers who discovered you back in 2014, I’ve seen that first video where your journey began, and it has stayed with me ever since. I’m sorry for writing so much, but words simply can’t express how much I want to say. I just want to tell you I’m so happy to hear you say at the end of the video that you’ll continue creating youtube video. To me, you are the best landscape photographer and UA-camr!
I don’t think i was an OG viewer but i was pretty close maybe a year after you started. I’m glad you did this video and i think anyone who is doing a creative medium should reflect like this. It’s hard to see the progression day to day so it’s a good reminder to every now and again to stop and reflect.
Hi Thomas, I believe I started watching your videos in 2017 but I can truly say that I have watched everyone of yours. Mostly more than once! And for sure it has shaped my photography and the spirit I take out of it. Today I am selling prints of mine to art consultant agencies and my photos are hanging in hotels in overseas. Currently I am planning of making my own photography books. Please keep on making the great stuff that inspires and motivates. This can be a life changer. For me it was. And I am looking forward to see your new calender on my wall. Cheers, Max
I can't remember when I watched your channel for the first time, but I do know one thing and that is your videos bring joy and inspiration into my life and I look forward to each and everyone of them, and I am here for the next ten years!
I’ve just double checked and it seems I have been here since the start! I wanted an excuse to go out walking more and your videos inspired me to get a camera. It has been a brilliant hobby ever since. I’ve seen so much of the world through my lens.
I’m of the old fart class who started as a teenager. But still get out as often as I can to shoot. That thrill of creating never leaves and your videos are always enlightening and fun. Keep it up another few decades!
I haven't been here since 2014, but when I started getting into photography as a hobby back in 2017, yours was one of the first photography channels I found.
OG right here! I remember that first video! Thinking it was the bee's knees, Now look at you! I have both your books on my shelf and get excited like a little kid every time you post!
I was in class 10 when I started watching Tom and got inspired to start photography. Although it's still very much a hobby and haven't started anything professionally but it still remains the dream to photography full time. You have inspired a hell lot of people throughout the world. You are freaking awesome my guy ❤
I don’t know if you’ll see this but, I started watching you in 2016. You inspired me to start taking my photography more seriously. I’m now doing travel photography as part of my full time job. While I have put in a lot of hard work, I owe a lot of whatever success I have to you. Thanks for all you do!
I think i'm in the OG club too! Thank you for all that you have done and continue to do Tom, I personally was in a very difficult place and had serious health issue at the point you released your first video. It was enough of a distraction to keep my spirits high and inspire me to take up landscape photography should my health improve. Thankfully it did. A trip down memory lane my comment on your Solo Wild Camping & Landscape Photography on Location - Lake District Cloud Inversion is still there. Like many others I have followed in your footsteps whilst eventually finding my own path on UA-cam and with Photography in general, that's become a massive part of my life over the past 10 years. So, here to you Tom, and all the other photography creators on youtube and to all those who enjoy photography no matter the genre and to another 10 years of seeing where your and our adventures take us.. Thank you.
Congratulations Thomas! Ive been here from the start, at the time I had just moved to Norway and wanted to know how to take great photos and found your videos. You were the reason I upgraded my 650d to the 5d mk3 and you still motivate me to get out and shoot now! Thanks for all that you do for this (your) community, I really mean it! Cheers!
"Absolutely stunning." I had forgotten how you used to say that and then you stopped when it starting coming off as a catch-phrase. Hard to believe it's been 10 years. Been a big fan and faithful viewer the whole time. Cheers!
Greetings from Reading, Pennsylvania! I’ve been following your channel for about three years now, and I’ve enjoyed every moment vicariously through your adventures. I’m passionate about photography and recently won first place in a contest. I’ve also had the honor of showcasing my work in two art galleries. These are just a few accomplishments I’m proud of, though the joy of photography is rewarding in itself. Thank you for all the hard work you put into planning your travels, creating content, and editing photos and videos. I truly appreciate your dedication and effort. Keep up the fantastic work!
I wasn’t quite there from the start, it was 2016 when I first started watching your channel. It was your videos that inspired me to steal Hannah’s camera and go and try photography for myself! I expect there are plenty of other photographers, and probably most landscape photographers who decided to try making UA-cam videos too, who would say it was your videos that inspired them to start, so we all owe you massive thank you for all you have done over the past 10 years! Thank you Tom 👏
I discovered your channel about 8 years ago and whilst I am not a landscape photographer I have really enjoyed watching your passion for it over that time. Long may you continue to bring the outside world into our homes and I will proudly display your 2025 calendar on my wall as a testament to you and your craft. Looking forward to more of your adventures and thank you for being there. Tony Duke
I never comment on UA-cam vids tbh but I watched that video 10 years ago (which I can’t actually believe) and you were a massive inspiration for me getting into/learning about photography and also helped me with my university dissertation answering some questions for it! I got a 1st class BA Hons degree and now am a photographer (full time) so congratulations on 10 years and thank you for your inspiration. Rick
Those initial videos inspired me to pick up my first camera. To this day, photography remains one of my greatest passions. I can’t thank you enough! I appreciate you Thomas Heaton!
I’m undeniable an OG and have been with you from the start. In that time the number of Landscape photography channels on You Tube has grown but, while I’ve dipped into others, yours is the one I’ve stayed with so you must be doing something right. I think it’s a combination of the relaxed style, the emphasis on the experience, your willingness to show things not working out and the fact you’ve avoided ever making it about the ‘gear’. Long may you continue! 👏
Your's is one of the first photography channels I found. Way back then I had mostly fallen out of love with photography after doing it since I was 4 or 5 at that point I was 25. Your channel reignited my love of photography now I'm never without my camera, in fact as I watch this I'm out having dinner and my camera sits two feet from me. Keep up the awesome work.
I found your channel in 2016, when I started doing landscape photography, and it was a huge motivation to go out and shoot in any given condition. I started my own channel in 2019, and now landscape photography is what I do for a living. Your channel helped me so much, and watching your videos through the years is really one of the best things that ever happened to me. Thank you Tom! Cheers from Italy!
Not quite an OG but I stumbled across a video of you camping in the Lake District about 9 years ago when I was first getting into hiking. I always felt that I wanted to get more out of my walks and seeing your videos made me realise that it was photography that I was missing so was inspired to go out and buy a DSLR of my own. I’ve been passionate about landscape photography ever since and it’s pushed me at times to go out of my comfort zone to visit places I never thought I would. Have continued to watch your channel ever since and still like going back to some of the older videos. Congrats on your ten years and look forward to the next!
Wow! Congratulations on 10 years. You never know what to expect in life. But you can probably expect great things when you offer the great personality you have. You're genuine every step of the way, which is what I enjoy most about your content. Makes me look forward to Wednesdays, when I know I can sit down to enjoy a new video while I have dinner.
Hi Tom That was a great trip down memory lane, I can remember watching that 1st video like it was yesterday, your enthusiasm hasn’t wavered in all that time. Truly deserve to be where you are now. Here’s to the next 10 yrs. 👍
Well I might have joined the channel quite recently, about a year ago, but I have to say you are one of the reasons I finally decided to pick up a camera. I love and admire the way you approach landscape photography, the pleasure you take in finding the right composition and your philosophy of not focusing on getting an image at all costs but understanding you're not wasting your time being outside and enjoying a walk in nature! I moved to Scotland, I'm enjoying my hiking more than ever and I'm learning about landscape photography every day! Hopefully in 10 years time we will all look back at this video and realise we've grown even wiser!
I started a bit later - in 2016/2017 - and I’ve never stopped since! You were the first photographer I began following on UA-cam. I wouldn’t be lying if I said that many times I wanted to start something on UA-cam myself - largely thanks to you, because you’ve inspired me so many times. I’ve finally started recently on Instagram. UA-cam might come later, but keep inspiring because you’re doing it amazingly! It’s funny, but your older videos are like old, classic games - you remember them in a much “higher resolution” than they were actually recorded in. That’s what quality is all about! Once again thanks!
Tom, been watching your videos for the last 6 years. Still love your content. Keep doing what you're doing. You're one of the people that keeps reminding me why I love landscape photography as a hobby so much.
My no.1 photography channel for many years. not here since the first video, but I think I started to follow you very early and never stopped since. Even in times I was not watching other landscape photographers I never missed yours! Good luck hopefully another 10+ successful years ahead!
man, i remember finding your channel when i was in high school and just getting into photography. i've since graduated high school, got a college degree, and been working full time for a few years lol, its wild to realize how long ive been watching your videos. i always appreciated the high quality and thoughtful work you make, its refreshing to still see that on the internet these days. keep it up man!
I discovered your channel early 2015 and I can confidently say, that you are the reason why I got into photography. The way you approach this is just so incredibly relatable and it feels like we are on the trip with you and learning something new every time. I may have missed a few of your videos due to life happening around, but seeing a new upload from you is still as exciting today as it was almost 10 years ago. So thank you! And all the best, Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you, Thomas!
Don't think I watched that very first video, but when I retired in '14 and dove into photography, yours was the first non-tutorial channel that I watched regularly. Tom, you've been an inspiration. I still get around (somewhat) at 82 and was never as fit as you, so Tom, you've got a long way to go!
Yep... remember the first video. You still going and me still watching... There should be some kind of awards for guys like you. Greetings from Iceland.
I've been here since the beginning - At 14 you were the reason I got into photography, specifically landscape photography. Glad to say I'm still at it, and still waiting for all your uploads
Same here! Tom's stories and compositions made me want to try landscape photography.
That's awesome. Thanks, Jack. You're a legend!!
Tom this was great. I don’t remember which of your early videos was the first one I saw, but I do remember that it was the video that introduced me to UA-cam and I’ve followed you ever since, including into the 617 Club! Keep up the good work and keep on inspiring!
This comment alone is worth all of the hard work you put in Tom
You're too kind 👍
And As I Said To TOM... Also THANK YOU ROMAN!!!! Been Following Your Channel Since YOUR DAY ONE.
That's awesome. Be sure to pass my thanks on to your friend.
I hope so too! Youll be 85 and going strong 💪🏻
Bring on the next 10 years and thank you for sharing your adventures with us your channel is probably the only channel that I have watched since 2015 that I still watch today so thank you
Deal!
10 more years would be awesome .
Thank you
Been watching your vids since 2017. Your Himalayan vids specifically inspired me to go there. Climbed there in 2023 & 2024. 🫡
I'm not quite an OG, but I think I found your channel about 9 years ago. But yours is one of the few channels I'm still watching and enjoying after all these years. Congratulations on your success.
Wow, thank you, and i would definitely count you as an OG.
Yeh! But you’re still one of the best photography UA-cam creators out there Tom, and you’re well appreciated, here’s to the next ten years!
I follow you since 2015-ish. Many subs have come and have gone. This one will never go. This is real quality content. Thank you!
Thank you.
have not been around since the begging...but a number of years now. great fun to watch, and educational and inspirational.
So glad you're still here, it's a testament to your dedication in doing what you love. And, we're the happy recipients of your passion. :)
Wow, thank you. It's amazing how time flies. Thanks for your consistent viewership 👍
Congrats on the 10-year mark. Cheers for decades more. Awesome photos and nice "holy" gloves for divine photos.
Here’s to the next 10 years 🍻
I been watching roughly 3 years and enjoyed every minutes. The one in the US chasing the tornados was awesome 🥰🥰🥰
That is awesome!
Mate, you're an inspiration, truly. You should see how the endeavour I love has improved because of you, others like you.
Hi Tom
That was a great trip down memory lane, I can remember watching that 1st video like it was yesterday, your enthusiasm hasn’t wavered in all that time.
Running out of time and running out of light. What a lovely little metaphor for life. Thanks for all of your wonderful videos.
It's really cool to review your journey 10 years ago. May another 10 and 10 and 10 years come. Congratulations.
