@@stansmith5610 yeh, but at least Ash always gives an honest opinion, and isn't swayed in the slightest - even when he reviews a free fragrance sent, as he did when he received a Roja fragrance, and gave a less than favourable review, and he literally never heard from them again...! When I sampled Creed Aventus, I sniffed it up close at first and thought it was trash. Half an hour passed, and I got a waft of something heavenly, it smelt like a breath of fresh air. Aventus's scent trail is supreme! Smelling it up close, anyone would think it's an absolute dud.
Clive Christian’s 1872 as well. Smelled it on the strip and almost gagged. An hour later I the strip outta my pocket, smelled it and almost went to heaven. It was a TOTALLY difference decent profile. I couldn’t believe my nose. First time I smelled something so complex that it morphed into a totally different scent. It’s super super expensive but so worth it. Treat self on a birthday or something
I just purchased my first Aventus yesterday. I tested this fragrance on paper first, and was about to pass it. Then I did the second test on my skin.... It was a completely different story. The scent from the skin smells heavenly and the scent from test strip was just fruity and citrusy, not much to write about. The lesson I learned is that you dont want to make decision until you smell the scent from your skin. Test strip only reveal about 30% of true scent from certain product. The idea I am trying to convey is that judging a fragrance on a testing strip is like judging people solely by quick glance of their appearance. You only know them maybe about 30% at best...... Just my opinion.
Interesting and informative video Omar. In my opinion Creed has never been at the forefront of my favorite fragrances and I have a 2012 version (batch). I have only worn it three or four times in ten years. But for those who enjoy it, please do so, fragrance preferences are completely subjective. With so many wonderful choices available these days, all of us can enjoy the variety that all of us can choose from.
@@zenttofrizzy8479 Wow, that's really difficult, I like alot of my 300 plus collection. Some of them are discontinued so I wear them only on special occasions. Okay, Creed Green Irish Tweed, Amouage Reflection Man, Issey Miyake Noir Ambre, The Most Wanted Parfum, YSL M7, Escada Magnetism, Thierry Mugler B*Men, YSL Bleu Electrique, Dolce and Gabbana Pour Homme (1994), Geo F Trumper Astor Cologne, Jo Malone Grapefruit. I have alot more that I can state but that's it for now, take care.

Would love to see a battle of PDMs like Layton vs Carlisle vs. Herod or freshies Sedley vs Percival.
Cedrat Boise is so nice. It needs a moment of the skin for the cig smell to go away but it adds a depth and character on drydown where it disappears and you are left with an amazing woody citrus.
It's easily one of my favorite frags in my little collection. Was surprised to find out it was not getting compliments (besides from one 40 year old man) but it could be the leathery/smokey aspect that just makes it polarizing. I feel like its citrusy and vibrant enough for summer and dense enough for fall which is cool
I just bought Cedrat Boise NOT KNOWING it was so similar to Aventus. I instantly recognized my favorite scent when I sprayed it... Which landed me to this video. I normally wear 5 sprays of Explorer on my skin with 2 of Aventus on my shirt. I'll be combining Cedrat in the mix now.
@@Cisco925 it’s less than 1/3 the cost of Aventus. It’s a sweeter take on Aventus. I don’t mix them, I wear them on different days. I feel that if you like Aventus, you will like Cedrat Boise. Aventus is superior, but different, so room for both in a collection is not a problem
I thought Aventus was overrated when I first bought it until I smelled off someone else and asked what are you wearing when they told me aventus I went back home sprayed it and found it so pleasant. I think it works better off skin and a little better when it settles in the bottle for a bit. But it is still a great scent and I don’t think the strip does it justice
Thank you for the video Omar - it was useful to get a “nose on the street” opinion of how Cedrat Boise shapes up against the other two fragrances. Especially after my question on your previous video! All the best, Matt.
I had a chance to try a sample of Aventus very spontaneously and it haven't blown my mind actually. I think that the house of Creed have done lots of heavy reformulations on their fragrances in general..( Omar, your style is great man!

Not sure what they done to it, but it’s a shame companies keep re formulating like this.

Great job Omar. I am a huge fan of Cedrat Boise and I think explorer is just OK. Normally I would not defend creed Aventus, because I think it’s way overhyped, but people could probably hardly smell that test strip after a couple hours cause the Aventus was completely gone. Lol
It is worth the money. I just recently got Aventus Cologne. I wore it on 3 different occasions so far, all 3 were dates with different women. Walking around going shopping together, stuff like that. All 3, multiple times throughout the date they would catch a whiff and just compliment how good I smell. It's slightly different than regular Aventus and in my experience women love it especially during the summer time during the day. I have regular Aventus too but don't wear it often. 2021 batch. I wouldn't wear it for a date. Maybe to an event or to a bar or something. Women don't have to love it, they definitely don't hate it. If men like it that is fine. It makes you feel that much more alpha and confident knowing that other guys envy your smell. Women love confidence, so in a sense it is indirectly attracting women.
I have all 3, wear all 3, and like all 3. My Aventus is only a year old. I like it the best by quite a bit. I get massive compliments wearing Aventus and Cedrat Boise. I don’t think I have ever gotten a compliment on Explorer.
I first got Aventus in 2013 as a Christmas present, after having smelt a sample earlier that year. It really was amazing back then, and it was strong. 3 sprays lasted most of the day. I decided to get a new bottle just last month as I hadn’t had it for years. The smell is still amazing but I find it’s not got the potency or longevity any more. I got samples of silver mountain water and virgin island water with the new Aventus and I found they actually lasted longer. But historically they were known as light and summery whereas Aventus was more heavy hitting. Wee bit of a shame but it’s still Aventus at the end of the day!
Interesting video Omar ! Aventus is definitely NOT worth it anymore. I believe Explorer, for the money is your best bet to be pleasing to the opposite sex. I have had a lot of bad reactions from ladies on Cedrat Boise. Again, slightly OVERRATED.
Aventus hits different on skin than on a tester strip. I've wore it and Cedrat Boise a bunch. Never get compliments on CB - almost always get a compliment with Aventus.
It just depends on the person smelling or your own personal skin/pheromones. I wore CB for the first time and got two compliments INSTANTLY (like 10 minutes after I put it on)
Storytime: Hey School of Scent I have recently been bench-watching all your videos while shopping around for a new fragrance, I love your videos. I went to the fragrance boutique with a list of fragrances recommended in the community, which is tricky because everyone's taste is different. I found some of the fragrances that are top 10/10 not that amazing, however, when I took the sample of Creed Aventus at first close to my nose, I thought it was not good, but while I was testing the other samples I smelled my left wrist where I put the Creed Aventus and it was amazing, I'm not sure if I got the lucky batch but is very long-lasting, I wash my hoody and still smells like it. tons of compliments from the ladies and gents too😂, I feel that you have to give time to sit in the skin or clothes and all the elements will come together. My second choice was the spice bomb that I might get next. Thanks for the videos and the tips.
The complexity and subtle strengths of a better, more expensive formulation will not be evident on a test strip; the difference on how Aventus behaves on the skin is unquestionable. It's true though that Aventus is macho and probably an acquired taste for most ladies.
That was a great video. I was amazed at how poorly Creed did against the other 2 fragz. The women didn't seem impressed with that scent DNA. Most of the time people are asked which is better for a man. But that doesn't necessarily mean that it is attractive to a woman. I also must admit that it would be a definite upgrade to my collection. You made it obvious that you have smelled better scents, but you looked happy to have Creed Adventus in your hand.
I have all 3. When deciding which to wear, I’m reaching for Creed all day!!! I guess it does depend on the situation. I’d grab Cedrat, if I’m wanting a different twist. Mont Blanc is worthy of leaving on the shelf. Creed is quality unmatched, & best for any situation!!!
I smelled Aventus and wasn’t impressed with it. I think Cedrat Boise awesome. I don’t like the opening as much as the dry down. That dry down to me is magic. But Explorer is def imo the one more well rounded when it comes to opening and dry down for me.
I just scored a Easter discount on Venba Fragrance. Creed Aventus 3.3oz for $256 US. (£204) That was just too good of a price to pass up .. even if it’s been reformulated
Great Video! I’ve tried Creed Aventus when in store and really wasn’t blown away and actually preferred Montblanc explorer or at least to my amateur nose 🤷♂️ Could anyone comment on the performance on the latest batches of Cedrat Boise as apparently it has been watered down but I’m hearing mixed opinions! 😃
I bought samples of Aventus and Cedrat Boise and the Cedrat Boise was the winner for me. Aventus smelled quite ordinary and commonly cheap while the Cedrat Boise brought an addictive DNA that I loved.
Keep up the excellent work bro. Public opinion is always needed. Please consider doing a pole on who an individual wear's a fragrance to impress. Men, women, for self or just others in general irregardless of their chromosomes.
The strongest smell is not the best scent. Maybe spray Cedrat Boise 1 time but Aventus and Explorer 2 times to get the comparison more even. Get the person testing to really choose the best scent and not just go for Cedrat Boise because they can smell it more because it's more powerful. I think people would generally choose the more powerful fragrance in a fast test, and not the best smelling one.
Great video. I own all three. I personally prefer Aventus (I have a 2015 bottle and it smells great and is quite potent), but I can see why Cedrat Boise did well. Cedrat Boise I honestly don't wear often...I just find it 'ok' ...it's a bit of a fruit mess for me...don't know why I feel that way. Explorer to to me is an amazing deal for the price - it smells great, is cheap and has a nice Aventus vibe.
2015 Aventus is a masterpiece! 2022 bottles I can’t recommend. I am with you on CB, I find it ok but the reactions it gets definitely make it stand out, more of a fragrance I’d be wearing for others than myself 😂
Once a scent DNA becomes so common, it will seem to lack originality. And Creed, because of reformalations (probably for more profit), doesn't even smell as good as the clones. To me, other than the black currant, Cedrat Boise stands out as a Niche cross between Aventus and Terre d'Hermes. But most importantly..its different. It's like eating the exact same meal for dinner. it may be good, but once commonplace, it loses its shine.
I tried Aventus on a test trip and hated it. However, I got a free sample and after it dries down, it’s the most heavenly scent probably the best fragrance I’ve ever smelled way better than Montblanc on another league. However, I’ve never smelt Mancera.
Aventus is the only one out of them that actually smells like pineapple, so I mean that's already a big bonus over the generic citrus opening. Cedrat boise smells too dirty so that's obviously my last pick, smells like cigarettes and dirty ashtray. Mont blanc explorer is best just because it doesn't smell dirty and it's cheaper than aventus. But if money didn't exist and I could pick any for free i'd take aventus, to me that pineapple opening is one of the best openings of all time and I mainly just want to spray it to smell the opening. To me aventus is fruitier than the others gives off that tropical fruit punch vibe in the opening, it's like eating pineapples on a hot day and super refreshing
@@SchoolOfScent I have plans to review this on my channel when I save up for some samples next, it's on my list to scents to try next just saving up some $$ to make my next video. My subscribers want more fragrance videos but it's too expensive haha
I'm glad Cedrat Boise won, it's my signature scent at the moment, and I do enjoy Explorer. Aventus is known as a boxer dropper, Cedrat Boise is a panty dropper
I have always been noticed/complimented by men when wearing Cedrat Boise Intense. Never been once complimented by a woman for it. Cheap, sweet frags, mostly vanilla base grab their attention like magnet tho.
all the comments saying creed aventus is shit and here we are trying to figure out which of the CLONES that smell the most like aventus..hypocrite's. and btw, hadn't it been for aventus in the first place non of these would have existed.
If I discovered Aventus back in the day of it's original form I might have dished out the money for it. However, I'm content just ordering different batch number decants of Aventus for a few euros to compare. Having followed the trail of Aventus clones and "inspired by" fragrances I have come to following conclusions for what works for me so far and my favorites: Loewe Esencia Elixir EDP Afnan Silver Supremacy (lighter), Afnan Non Only Intense (on beast mode!), ..Amazing! Top quality for a decent price. One I am not sure about yet...Maison Al Hambra Avant, honestly smells like I originally had some light form of Aventus mixed in with the smell of smoke grilling meat on the BBQ, mixed in with some pork. It's not what I was expecting. LOL! My other MaisonAlhambra fragrances I like much better ( tobacco touch & Toscano leather). Mont Blanc Explorer: Smells great and definitely an option to have in my collection. Cedrat Boise Intense is next up on my list.
I have Mont Blanc explorer, I also have Executive man by Stirling Soap Company (Aventus inspired). Never tried Club Di Nuit. Would never buy a full bottle of aventus. I have had samples.
I have Cedrat Boise, CDNIM and CDNIM Limited Edition Parfum. I've tried Aventus and Explorer. Didn't care for Explorer at all, it smelled flat to me. Cedrat Boise and CDNIM LEP are my picks, in that order. Can't wait to get my nose on Cedrat Boise Intense!
@@rlrnyc The intense basically skips the synthetic lemon opening of the og Cedrat and goes directly to the interesting woody leathery part with just a hint of citrus. It's more linear, but it lasts longer. It could have a little bit more citrus, but nothing is perfect I guess.
On the fragrance strip, Aventus smelled like one of the best scents ever. The saleswoman gave me a small sample bottle. As I drove home, I wondered where I could get $400 for the bottle. I sprayed it on my wrist the next morning. I did not like it on my skin. i kept smelling it throughout the day into the evening. It just got worse and worse. In fact, it's one of the worst colognes I've ever smelled. I hate it! I can't believe how expensive it is. All this say, you can't judge a scent on a wand alone.

Got a lot of compliments on Explorer. I don't have Aventus and think of buying Cedrat Boise.
But I have Nishane Hacivat and I like it a lot.
I smelled Aventus and wasn’t impressed with it. I think Cedrat Boise awesome. I don’t like the opening as much as the dry down. That dry down to me is magic. But Explorer is def imo the one more well rounded when it comes to opening and dry down for me.
New concept, very nice 👍
I just scored a Easter discount on Venba Fragrance. Creed Aventus 3.3oz for $256 US. (£204)
That was just too good of a price to pass up .. even if it’s been reformulated
Get Cedrat Boise Intense, it’s smoother and no performance issues!
@@SchoolOfScent I get noseblind when I wear intense cedrat boise. Nice smooth orange scent to my nose.
I thought that was Demi...got excited for a sec.
One day 😳
Same lol
Thank you for the shout out !!! ❤️❤️❤️
Yo Parisa!
Can’t have people smell all 3 in one hand… they are similar scents, they will blend.
Great smell and rate video and I enjoyed it and I like all of these fragrances and have a blessed day
The strongest smell is not the best scent.
Please review D&G the one line and give us your personal ranking of all the flankers and the OG
If i am buying a fragrance I am not judging it or ranking them on first sniff off a test strip of paper.
Great video man!
The 2 Final guy's 💪🏽
Great Review 👍🏼 ✌🏽
Always great to meet frag heads, and thanks! 😁
Parfums de Marly Percival vs jean paul gaultier ultra male for a introvert by day extrovert by night ???
Once a scent DNA becomes so common, it will seem to lack originality. And Creed, because of reformalations (probably for more profit), doesn't even smell as good as the clones. To me, other than the black currant, Cedrat Boise stands out as a Niche cross between Aventus and Terre d'Hermes. But most importantly..its different. It's like eating the exact same meal for dinner. it may be good, but once commonplace, it loses its shine.
Mancera cedrat boise is best out of them, with Creed i haven't meet girl yet that would like it, not even cedrat boise but to me is best out of them 3
Creed Aventus is not worth buying it but if you have one it's a Legend and a masterpiece.
HOW on earth is Cedrat Boisee any where near Aventus? They're from different planets in smell between these two?!
Class is in session ✌️✌️
I thought it was Demi in the thumbnail 😂
Im one of the ones thats dosent really like aventus.
10:12 Blazing Mr.Sam name drops Blazing Mr.Sam. Legendary scent that nobody talks about. Only Monika Cioch mentioned it that I can recall.
So glad I've not wasted my hard earned money on creed aventus since i started collecting in 2018
I really like Aventus, it was my first niche perfume.. but I LOOOOVE Cedrat Boise its insane how good that one smells
The intense is even better 😁
You should try Hacivat if you haven’t already
@@SchoolOfScent I have plans to review this on my channel when I save up for some samples next, it's on my list to scents to try next just saving up some $$ to make my next video. My subscribers want more fragrance videos but it's too expensive haha
I'm glad Cedrat Boise won, it's my signature scent at the moment, and I do enjoy Explorer. Aventus is known as a boxer dropper, Cedrat Boise is a panty dropper
Cool video man! Maybe the cedrat boise "intense" would have been even more dominant?
I received a sample of Intense shortly after recording this, it smells more smooth and I would say is the superior version
@@SchoolOfScent Thank you so much for the feedback mate, have a great week
Great video, PDM Layton Vs Al haramain detour noir 👀
I actually liked the two guys that you interviewed more than the women, and I think it's because they had some info to weigh in with.
I have always been noticed/complimented by men when wearing Cedrat Boise Intense. Never been once complimented by a woman for it. Cheap, sweet frags, mostly vanilla base grab their attention like magnet tho.
Boise intense is there another fragcomm fake hype train frag, women are disgusted by it in real life
I own all three and cedrat Boise doesn’t click, it smells bad actually
Like Fruity Pebbles scented hand sanitizer
No disrespect but did you buy subs? I remember you had about 24K or less I believe and now you’re up at 69K in less than a few months seemed odd
Nope
all the comments saying creed aventus is shit and here we are trying to figure out which of the CLONES that smell the most like aventus..hypocrite's. and btw, hadn't it been for aventus in the first place non of these would have existed.
Please more public reaction battle videos!!!
Really good video, keep it up
Why not just give them 1 by 1 not 3 all of them 🤦🏻♂️
If I discovered Aventus back in the day of it's original form I might have dished out the money for it.
Did the girls understand that they are smelling men’s fragrances?
This was an awesome video
I Love Mancera Cedrat Boise.
hey i just got a bottle of moustache, the batch is from 2019. I was wondering if I should worry about it going bad. Thanks
Wheres CDNIM 🥺
0:23 Sorry, we are recording a video about the $500 perfume I just bought, please don't interrupt with your poverty. 😖
😭
Why put all the cologne next to each other like as if it’s not a scent.
The best clone is Reyane Insurrection II closely followed by the cheap Perfumers Choice N.9. Cedrat Boise is not even a clone.
Truth be told!
Hahaha I'm surprised but yeah mancera is a cool brand
Hold the strips separately. They are too close together, especially with a breeze blowing.
How do we know CB is Mancera’s take on the Adventus?
I have Mont Blanc explorer, I also have Executive man by Stirling Soap Company (Aventus inspired). Never tried Club Di Nuit. Would never buy a full bottle of aventus. I have had samples.
I have Cedrat Boise, CDNIM and CDNIM Limited Edition Parfum. I've tried Aventus and Explorer. Didn't care for Explorer at all, it smelled flat to me. Cedrat Boise and CDNIM LEP are my picks, in that order. Can't wait to get my nose on Cedrat Boise Intense!
It’s smoother. I wouldn’t say that you shouldn’t dump your current Cedrat, but if I had neither, I’d get the Intense straight away.
Same here :P
@@rlrnyc The intense basically skips the synthetic lemon opening of the og Cedrat and goes directly to the interesting woody leathery part with just a hint of citrus. It's more linear, but it lasts longer. It could have a little bit more citrus, but nothing is perfect I guess.
what did he say @ 9:54? Prompton what?
0:32 well that was awkward 😂
Indeed 😂
Gracias desde Barcelona España
On the fragrance strip, Aventus smelled like one of the best scents ever. The saleswoman gave me a small sample bottle. As I drove home, I wondered where I could get $400 for the bottle. I sprayed it on my wrist the next morning. I did not like it on my skin. i kept smelling it throughout the day into the evening. It just got worse and worse. In fact, it's one of the worst colognes I've ever smelled. I hate it! I can't believe how expensive it is.
All this say, you can't judge a scent on a wand alone.
i like more Explorer.
They shouldnt hold all of them at once it mixes the scent
It sounds like I need to try Cedrat Boise
I have noticed that anytime I wear aventus I get compliments from men lol
Good video.
